First for fuck high cap mags
>>6387fpbp
>Neighbouring city has had an airsoft field for 10+ years>Never been to it>Move to the city last year>They demolish it 3 months after I moved hereThe owner didn't even inform the airsoft club about the demo. Showed up for my first game and everything on the field was gone so I thought I had arrived at the wrong place.
>>6387the lines are starting to get blurred
>>6404Fuck that sucks. Sorry to hear
I WANT AIRSOFT REEEEEEEE
>>6532I just want to shoot ppl with plastic
>>6381I checked out the pastebins in OP but i am wondering how relevant they still are?I'm looking for a nice entry level gun hopefully in the under $200 range.
>>6647Spot on for the Cyma ak rifles. Not sure about buying Nihm battery instead of Lipo but then again I ruined a bunch by being a noob and not knowing you had to charge/drain them to a certain voltage when storing them after playing.
>it took all of a day before the airshitters invaded It was good while it lasted
>>6661what are you talkn about
how good are the shitty $30 amazon special red dots?also are 3x/4x optics worthwhile for outdoor play?
>>6387What about flash mags? I've heard good things about Lonex ones
>>66914x Is a little much for airosoft desu. I say that as someone with a 4x on his airshit. As far as the $30 red dots go, ya. They work. And if it gets shot out, at least it didn't cost you much.>>6694I had one. Youre really not missing much. Its just a high cap you can wind faster.
>>6691stay away from fake holo sights, they all suckstick to aimpoint repros>>6694no, they still suck, they rattle like hell and you won't reload your gun nearly as often. mag change is love, mag change is life.
>>6387Sorry, but I'm too busy racking up kills on the front line to reload. I know small brain (and small penis) speedsofters can't remember to crank their high caps, but it's okay because they're usually the first ones to get lit up so in the end it doesn't matter what mag they use.
>>66914x optics are generally speaking useless, unless you use them like an Occluded Eye Gunsight. There are niche uses for identifying friend from foe though. You can definitely use them for that. I'd either bring a small set of binoculars or a magnifier and a red dot.
>>6404Why didn't you call them first?
I think airsoft needs some kind of semi official ranking system. I've been playing since 2011, and I'm sick of new people and little kids with no experience just blowing me off when I give them instructions or try to have them cover a location.
>>6836i can see that as usful but also abuseable by faggots
>>6836I bet you're a gigantic faggot and very unpleasant to be around.
Milsim seems so really boring.
>>6836Example: pic related. Me and my team at op Irene back in 2012. I got the rank so I was easily identified as having experience.
>>6852Forgot pic
>>6853Great pic. If I ever have the displeasure of playing with you I'll be sure to light you up like a Christmas tree.
>>6836>I'm tired of children not listening to me and having fundisregard them entirely
ranks work at milsim(kinda the point), not sure it would work for weekend skrimsh
>>6857>im going to overshoot someone for no reason. Ill be sure to have you banned from whatever op we happen to see each other at. It wouldn't happen anyway. My team has combined 25 years of airsoft experience and some of them even have prior military service. So good luck.
>>6866you're an unbelievable faggot and a prime example of why people have such a shitty attitude towards the hobby. go fuck yourself
>>6866this is bait
>>6823Call who? The airsoft club thought the field was still there.
>>6868Its literally in my team bio. Don't be mad some of us take pride in our sport and take it seriously.
>>6872an average of 3.5 years between 7 players isn't anything special. please look into making a tripcode so I can filter you
>>6869Call the field itself? It's a business. They have ways to contact them.
>>6866>>6872Your posts are the equivalent of a punchable face.
>>6886The field were the ones hosting the game lol.
>>6872You are about 90% of whats wrong with this hobby.
i dont think airsoft sites should pick teamleader at the start of evry day, thats just going to have a dick measureing contest at every game day, its better if its split i guess. the site i play at has sort of an unwriten rulle of young players go on saturday and older players show up on sundays
>>6904I think if people want to win, they will naturally trend toward a team structure, even if that's like groups of four dudes using walkie talkies. at the end of the day, it's just expensive tag anyway so who gives a shit
>>6853Were you actually military? If not, why do you have a what looks like a sergeant major rank on you?
>>6910did he not say in the post above that it was part of the milsim he got the patch
>>6914>wearing real military ranks to play airsoftDo you realize how much of a faggot that makes you look? Especially if you didn't actually earn it.
>>6872this is elaborate bait
>>6836>>6853Is that... the 811 fag? HAHA, It's fucking 811. Well played anon, well played. Have a (You). This one's deserved.
>>6381>>6647Making a new newbie purchase guide since the current one is so old. Recomending new players to stick with AR and AK AEGs due to parts and shit. Let me know if there are any decent brands im missing. Also don't know if I should do a purchase guide for goggles/gear/batteries.https://pastebin.com/E7S7vv1i
>>6922>its 811After taking some time to look up these guys. Holy fuck they seem like faggots.
>>6924>g&pThey have pretty good externals, but their stock motors are trash. Their gears a kinda lackluster too.
>>6928They are. They were a meme on /asp/ way back in the day. Watching these newfriends get baited so easily by it is kind of amusing.
>>6931Thats why I said to stay away from the i5 line of gearboxes. That marked exactly when G&P started skimping on internals. You can still find older G&Ps for sale with their old internals which are solid but nothing to write home about.
>>6924That's just a brand list that'll get outdated eventually anyway. The newbie pastebin is more about what to prioritize and research on your own than what to buy, and it's still accurate: steel CYMA AKs are still the best bang-for-your-buck AEGs on the market. Also,>Krytac>Good
>>6947The newbie pastebin currently recommends combat machines, CYMA MP5s, JG G36 & AUG, and CYMA AKs of which today only a single item on that list is worth it.
>>6935Back in the good old days when traps, skeletons with scoped lmgs in black multicam from Germany ran the general.
>>6924You ignored Cyma Blue Line, which is amazing value for money. Also, G&G is usually proprietary in almost all parts, especially the M14. So no tuning, and the Hop is better in TM M14s too. furthermore, I'd add an LMG tier for people that want to do that: Don't. You read this guide which means you don't know what you're doing - but LMGs need you to know what rhey are doing because they break. Sniper rifles: Don't. Back up weapons: Check your local fields if they require you to bring one. If you're in mainland europe, they probably will. Your options are A) a finicky GBB or b) a retard proof AEP. Since you're new, go with the AEP with a LiPo-Mod. Holsters for your sidearm: retard tier:no holster. Almost tied with a drop leg. Almost. trash tier:Drop leg. They suck. They impede your leg movement and the gun bounces around in the cheap variable size ones. Stay away. acceptable tier: holster on belt or side of chest rig/plate carrier. you won't notice the pistol on your body at all, but the draw is shitty. good tier: midride holster. The pistol sits just low enough to draw comfortably while being suspended from your belt, not your leg. yes but actually no tier:holster in front of your chest. easy to draw, but you can't go prone. Don't do this.
>>6947>krytac>badI like being contrarian too.
>>6964Never really encountered the blue line before, is that another name for their sport line? For G&G I only recommended their top tech series which is just EBB with standard parts. Ill also add the Sniper and LMG don'ts like the current pastebin has
>>6964>Back up weapons:>Check your local fields if they require you to bring one.???Oh you mean sidearms.
>>6953Combat machines are legit starters, the newest gen even moreso. There's a reason fields keep them as rentals, you know. JG Augs are still viable too, they're just licensed by ASG now, but they still show up if you do a brand search on evike. Heck, all of that is still relevant from a pure newbie perspective, just less available now due to licensing. There hasn't been a whole lot of entries into the low end market in the last seven years. The only thing really out of date about the paste is as >>6654 mentioned with lipos. They've become far more viable with the rise of their use in other battery operated hobbies like droning, and that could use an update.
>>6972There is almost no reason to recommend a combat machine when there are other sportline models that are better at a cheaper or equivalent cost. Not to mention there are combat machines pushing up to and past $250 for a polymer body M4. There are companies offering proline models with full metal externals, rails, and high end mosfets for the same or cheaper.
>>6969Nice get
>>6969Nice.
the absolute state of these fucking airsoft threads
>>6872>Don't be mad some of us take pride in our sport and take it seriously.just dont be too full of yourself.these guys look like theyre about a larp version of a "serious" raiding guild in an mmo.where they expect you to act like this game is a 2nd or even main job and the people "in charge" have some serious authority.

Why is indoor airsoft objectively better than outdoor?
>>7141for sp33dsoftnot for mislim
>>7141Because todays pussies can't handle a droplet of water or dirt on their 600 dollar guns or clean and pressed gucci uniforms.
>>7147>gucci
>>7126At least the discords have gone the way of the dodo
>>7141For the convenience. Other than that indoor is trash
>>7141i'd rather play outdoors because of the people. more people interested with trying to have fun instead of going for a kill montage trying to be the next jetthedesertfoxhot take but levelcapgaming did more harm than good to the sport of airsoft
>>7163>LevelFagGaymingthat cuck brought more M16/AEK fagging dumbasses trying to act airsoft plays exactly like BF3/4
>>7182I know this will trigger you, but if you're not playing airsoft like BF3/4, then you aren't playing it properly. The worst players are the milsim tryhards who always love to flex their "real acog" or whatever bullshit. That and they are usually not good players who get dabbed on by speedsofters.
>>6928Only in America would someone see a map of a campus and thing "this is how we'd over run it." This kinda shit gives airsoft players a bad reputation.
>>7213I mean, i get board all the time and think of how to properly clear or defend buildings ive been in. Went through way to many plans when i was at meps let me tell you.
I found a real HK416 rubber butt for the stock at a military training area that fits on my VFC HK416.I flex it every chance I get.
>>6969they tend to be called "CYMA [model] BLUE" and are distinguished by using only blue plastic internals. Metal gears, obviously, but everything plastic is blue. finally: Are you sure pastebin won't yeet your stuff? I know that they have started deleting some things not related to programming.
>>7219>the state of guccigearfags
>>7218>meps Not the guy you're responding to; but damn. That and initial inprocessing are the 2 most painful experiences I've ever been though in my life.
>>7213Christ. Can you non-Americhads go 5 seconds without obsessing over us? It gets so tiresome seeing post after post talking about Americhads.
>>6935What did they do that was meme worthy?
>>7295Probably nothing. This guy just remembered a post from a while back and wanted to sound like an oldfag and flex on everyone.
>>7318>is such a newfag he doesn't remember the high level truck or the other high level things they did.
Less drama, moar gunposting
>>7370sure
>>6964Every cyma I've fielded has been a total disaster externally. Front handguards sliding off at random, ak side rails falling off from cheapo walmart mounts and outer barrels so wobbly I had a 30 degree difference in aim depending on how it was held.
>>7415The only issue with the one i have is the selector/dust cover screw will get loose after a day's worth of use.
>>7415Only issue I have ever seen with them has been folding stock models not having tight tolerances causing slight wobble and like >>7426 said the selectors can get loose, but that can easily be solved with loctite.
>>7359>i remember a screencap someone posted a few weeks ago that had an old date on it so if i bring it up it'll make me look like a total oldfag chad and people will think i am super cool

>>6647 here.I have gone over the response chain from my question earilier, and landed on a Specna Arms Edge series M4 line as a possibility.I found https://www.evike.com/products/90438/ as the most affordable option, but even the more expensive options and other websites i checked said sold out. bad time to shop?
Any Floridafags here? 904 representing.
what’s up asg. i haven’t played in a bit and am looking to get back into the sport/hobby. i have a recoil shock m4 that i haven’t fired in about 2 years. would it be fine if i tried to shoot it now or should i get it taken in for repairs somewhere to make sure all the rubber pieces are fine.
>>7443Yah its just a bad time to shop. Coronavirus fucked supply and demand. How much are you looking to spend and are you looking to stay with an AR pattern rifle?>>7450321 here>>7514Should be fine to shoot, might want to just replace o-rings, hop up bucking and re grease the gearbox.
>>7523>321Based. I lived in Melbourne for a vast majority of my life. Ever go to Combat City (more specifically when it was in Oviedo and it used an old Publix as an indoor field)?
>>7439>few weeks ago >there hasn't been an airsoft general in months because of wrestling
>>7523>how much to spend and stay m4?i was *hoping* to get an M4 platform for <$200.
>>7525Never went to the indoor one, but I went to the outdoor one they built on that old military golf course. Was a lot of fun, and I was bummed to hear they went under when I got back from college. Guys I played with said the indoor one went to shit when HPA exploded and they never set ROF restrictions and didn't know how to crono properly for joule creep. I am just getting back into it all and waiting for my RX inserts to come back for my ESS Crossbows. I'll probably be at the mini milsim Wasteland Ops is hosting at the end of April. Goal for this year is to make it to OP Blacksite in AL by American Milsim and to the OP Third Coast Airsoft is hosting at the Guardian Centers they just announced.
>>7542If you are ok with a polymer body / reinforced nylon there are a bunch of sportline models in that price range. Also for the one you picked out if you spend $215 you can grab one that is in stock with a rail (pic related). Besides that there are the following in stock:>Classic Army Skirmish Series on Airsoft GI>Gen 2 Combat Machines on a crap load of websites>ICS CXP Sportline on Airsoft Megastore>G&G Full Metal airsoft gun for $206 on Evike
>>7542There are also the apex rifles which are OEM by Classic Army. Their polymer ones are around $120 and they have a full metal one for under $200.
>>6836>I am a level 40 airsofter, please respect me!
Never played airsoft. What's the pain level like compared to paintball?
>>7736Overall less but depends on where you get hit.
>>7736Take a rubber band, and snap it on various parts of your body. That's what it feels like for the mostpart.
so what chest rigs/plate carriers do you guys recommend? The cheapo one i got six years ago doesn't quite fit after boot camp and is defiantly starting to fall apart?
>>7819Get a flc in your desired color.
>>7426>>7434Almost every single cyma ak I have owned, from their stamped shit to their knock off galil has had a super wobbly barrel even out of the box. I must have racked up like $700 in shipping fees for evike rma'ing all these lemons.
>>7841Its pretty easy to fix that....
>>6924>>6953>>6972>>6990Alright shitheels, I updated the pastebin for newbie guns, bbs, and lipos. No need to get autistic about it. For Canada I only listed the big ones I know, particularly Black Blitz because they were (are?) the only place you could get new daytona guns.>>7819Depends on how much you want to spend. For light use I have seen people run condors for years. If you want something a bit more durable without the price tag you could go for a LBX at around $150. Above that you are just looking at getting a legit plate carrier.
>>7934for $150 you could get a used shellback tactical banshee or a brand new gucci brand chest rig. for $30 more you could get picrel.or you could go under $60 and get a pig brig and a couple pouches.
thats wild
Got myself an LCT AK-105. Any tips for the orange tip so I can remove it once it arrives?
>>6924CYMA brand guns would be good for new players, they're cheap but reliable enough that the gearbox should be steady. Also, if in Europe, Taiwangun is a great website for the cheaper shit.

>>7736Paintball is for adults
>>8289Let's not beat around the bush here. No extreme sport is for adults.
>>8257you can't give those motherfuckers an inch, anon. I remember a few years ago, the ATF seized a bunch of AEGs because they could be "easily converted" into real guns, but never proved it. I don't think there's a single example of an airsoft gun being turned into a real gun that's anything more than using it as a body for the internals of an already made .22
>>8257Is your government full of sissy women? I’d imagine Australia is like a wild land, but it seems the politicians want to overcompensate for the lurking tarantula or two.

>>8416>NPOI think you can buy it directly from NPO for cheaper
>>8440there are a couple vendors that sell for about half the price in the US already. I'm just shocked at how wildly they're marking NPO up with nothing added for the money
is Novritsch stuff a meme? his MK23 seems like pretty decent value for money, especially with the DMR stock
>>8511yeah all his shit is rebranded. If you are gonna get a Mk23 go with TM. The Novritsch one doesnt come with any of the accessories.
what are the average FPS and Joule limits on US outdoor fields?
>>8524Most outdoor fields have max 1.5 J for AEG's which is about 400 FPS.
>>8511Yah, his pistols are just rebrands and the MK23 in particular had an issue with double feeds to which he responded "You are pulling the trigger wrong." As for the spring snipers they are a meme just because they are snipers and a well tuned AEG can get 80-90% of the range w/o having a 100ft med.
Just ordered a NPO VSS-M, and I have a LCT AK74MN already. I want to HPA both as I have a V3 fusion engine and a mancraft PDIK on the way. What I am trying to figure out is which I should drop in which.
>>8548based NPO chadjust know the handguard is made out of tissue paper. I'd honestly stay away from HPA'ing it but that's just me
>>8548another quick tip is to use some white nail polish on the front sight because it's surprisingly hard to pick up when aiming at a poorly lit target
>>8548The mancraft in the VSS. It's already basically a DMR, so a semi only system would suit it.
>>8552After going HPA I can never go back
>>8559the thought of violating my beautiful NPO with extra holes makes me sweat
>>6721>>6803How do they work on G&G, Specna and VFC lowers?>dude just use mid capsNot interested, plus almost everyone here runs high caps. Maybe I'll switch to mids someday, but not now
>>8568if it makes it better I specifically got the one with the pistol grip to hopefully not have to do that.
>>8577they're actually interchangeable. if it's not a horrible freak show abomination to HPA, I might get the VAL kit for mine and hot swap between the two depending on what I want to do. That said, exclusively run yours with a foregrip if you have the railed barrel. I'm telling you that handguard is fucking F L I M S Y. and when tightening the suppressor back on after removal, it can tighten to the point that there's zero wobble. I see a lot of people online that reviewed it that stopped rotating it once the barrel clicks once. it still has about two more rotations left after that

>tfw every site here has banned use of full auto from everything not replicating a real LMG or GPMG aside from special scenario games

>>8640Who cares. With ROF that fast, your semi-auto will shred anyway.
>>8602Depends on the Area. In Arizona I mostly see average to athletic builds, with 20% fat and 20% stick figure. When we went to some events in Texas it was mostly fats and in Nevada it was skinny crack head lookin guys
>>8632Went to codename thunder a couple years ago here in tthe US

These new tracers that have orange leds in front look like a fun novelty especially on gas guns.

Being located in FL though makes it difficult as you have to go out of state since nothing happens down here (and dont you god damn say op overwatch that shit is bad). Right now I am looking forward to attending the next event at the guardian centers in GA. I went to OP Iron Horse 2 that was hosted there a while back.>>8665Wait did MSW confirm a Gap game for this year?
>>8671does she also peg you while calling you a dirty Navalnyi supporter?
>>8671You're the one wearing it aren't you.
>>6381I'm pretty sure I saw a spring airsoft revolver years ago that still had a double action trigger/didn't require you to thumb the hammer back for each shot, but I can't seem to find anything about them now. Do these actually exist or am I just misremembering? I know Tokyo Marui makes their Gindan series spring pistols that will fire every time you pull the trigger without needing to cock the slide (at the cost of being rather low power).
>>8663Fine dont believe. Just dont come crying here when the inevitable happens.
>>8685in what fucking world would this ever happen? we're in FL, so everyone at my field looks like a meth head
>>8671Honestly, get her a good quality mouthguard if she's not afraid of face welts. I can still speak and communicate pretty well in my guardlab one. That said, the 3holes don't tend to play nice with eyepro. Try and convince her otherwise.>>8676If you went to Caspian Siege, you'd know they're shooting for October. Was supposed to be last November, but because Covid fucked everything, they pushed it back so they could fulfill their contract with GTI. Looking forward to it. I'd consider recruiting from nu-/asg/, but I do actual impressions and have a group doing them with me, so militia isn't really my wheelhouse anymore.
>>8686>FL>looks like a meth headno, they are meth heads
>>8663Unless there's some stud that's like Airsoft_Alfonse, I doubt she'll leave you for some pig or skeleton
>>8687I have never attended a MSW event because GTI and Shelby are the two closest and they are still over 11h drive to get to, and I didn't have the money or time to make those events. With my new job I can easily make time and I have the money since im the retard HPAing a brand new NPO. If MSW is doing gap I will 100% build a rusfor kit.
>>8690>leaving me for someone else at the airsoft fieldlmao the bad ones really will weed themselves out for you

>>8694I'm just saying dude. Hardly any dude that plays airsoft is just average and not male supermodel tiers of handsome
>>8699I'm genuinely not concerned with this in the slightest. I hope that your insistence that she'll just up and leave me doesn't come from experience. find a good woman and you'll never worry. I promise you they're out there

>>8593high caps always rattle when in use. Same goes for flash mags. I understand you like them, but virtually no one else does. That's why you're not going to have a lot of people pipe up about them outside of speedsofters. And even those prefer midcaps because the allow for faster ROF over time compared to highcaps. The main issue I dislike about these things is constantly turning the wheel at the bottom to make sure the spring has enough pressure for 20 BBs. With a midcap, you have 140BBs ( or even 200) on tap. No wheels to turn, no rattling after you've shot a few rounds, just shoot until it stops then swap mags and keep shooting. No keeping up with the ROF of your gun on a high cap wheel either, just keep pulling the trigger until empty, drop mag, new one in, keep going. It honestly beats the high cap in anything but value per bb held. If you need to carry a ridiculous amount of BBs in very few mags, that's where the high cap shines. If you can't have LBE for some reason -> highcap. Otherwise, always midcap.

>>8841Let me give it to you straight: Women at airsoft fields to play airsoft, fine. Airsofters who have girlfriends, fine. Airsofters who have GFs who also happen to be airsofters, fine. All of these things are sadly the minority of women who go to airsoft fields historically.Usually it's some dingus who drags his GF along to show her off, brag, or insist that they share the same hobbies. If it's the airsofter's GF showing interest, 9 times out of ten she'll go once and then never be seen again, either because of the sperglords at the field putting her off, or the stress of the game isn't something that's worth her interest. So seeing a poster say "I'm gonna take my GF airsofting" around here is immediately going to be the object of ridicule, no matter how nice or wholesome it actually is. They're still all wrong though. >>8968You wanna know about flash mags, they work just like every other hi cap mag but the spring mechanism is based on a pullstring rather than a wheel. How "well" they work and what they fit is exactly the same as regular hi caps, from quality differences and fitments across brands. They're better for certain applications, like drum mags where a battery mechanism would be bulky and prone to failure, but in terms of regular hi caps, they're nothing very impressive, just a little bit easier to wind reliably. This is why everyone's telling you to move to midcaps, because if you want performance, midcaps are actually better and cheaper, mag for mag. The time you spend winding isn't all that much different than a well drilled mag change and will provide more bbs to feed reliably at a time.
Are there any other midcaps that work with a TM NGRS including the empty detection or are my only options the TM 82 rnd or the PTS 120 rnd models?

Hey field ref here, tell me about your field. I want to make my field better. I've been asking a bunch of questions to the guys who come about what they want but there's shit I know I haven't even thought of that would make shit good. What makes shit good for you?
>>9603are you look for rules, game type or layoutsfor me i like big woodland and old buildings (ply wood building are also fine)
>>9603Make designated full auto days and talk to the airsoft communities of your city and see if you can set up hosts with respected members, set up regular hosts and see how much people are having fun, but to be honest I know nothing about your field, so you really gotta ask the local community and players what they want and how you can improve based off the problems in your field
>>9603Former field ref here.>Kick out and ban problem players>Don't like 811's happen>if its an indoor field, dont try to please everyone with the layout because it doesn't work>don't be a field ref youll end up having airsoft.
>>6405250-rd midcaps compared to 500-rd highcaps.
>>9603Former ref here. I used to work an indoor field, but these things are applicable to outdoor as well, there are two things that make your field better: Good, interesting layout and a low-salt community. The former requires money and a close understanding about how players move during different gametypes. You need to build up for obstacles, landmarks, chokepoints, and other features that make moving through the field interesting and to make sure that these features result in a fair chance for everyone. No one wants to be at a disadvantage from the starting gun, and no one wants just the same shit every five steps. There needs to be variety and flow. The latter is something you have even less control over. Who decides to stop in week by week is a matter of luck and competition. The players you want might live nearer to your competition, or maybe just everyone around you is an insufferable shit. What you can do is how you react to it: don't give preference to bad sportsmanship just because they're regulars or they're with a lot of people. Take no shit from anyone. If Big Group of gear queers aren't willing to split up so the rental kids can stand a fighting chance, then they're being shit sports and you can refuse to continue play until it's fun for everyone. Those rental kids didn't pay the exact same to get bullied either, so something has to give. Don't let it be you.
>>9603creative game modessee rushteam a defends three bases in succession, they have limited spawns that the cross off on a sheet of paper. Stop the time. Team B gets unlimited spawns. teams switch sides, stop the time again. The team that managed to kill all the defender bases quicker is the winner. >>9603The most important thing is always the community. If it's friendly and devoid of assholes, even the simplest games will be fun. Set the example yourself and do good community policing when needed.Besides that it's nice to have interesting terrain features/buildings that are reasonably well-maintained and not filled with trash. Also, fun scenarios to mix things up. One game remember I had lots of fun with was a Vietnam-styled objective game where the VC had to smuggle stuff along the trail and the US had a FOB they could only do patrols out of. Mind you, I'm talking about a field that's more of an abandoned strip of forest that we've appropriated, not a straight up arena.

The weird thing is that sometimes it works just fine, and when it does it's a real mean fucker, but 99% of the time when using on full auto it will leave the barrel, travel straight for about 20ft, and suddenly spin into the floor, this is usually coupled with doublefeeds

>>9603the two main fields I go toField 2>more commercial>have free hot water, but provide your own cups/teabags>smallish safezone 1 giant table and some pallets to put stuff on, backs directly onto carpark so not a massive deal>sells sweets, cans, BBs, pyro>has a working APC they use for games sometimes>terrible road to get up, somebody ripped their oil sump once>terrain is commercial forest with rough edges, lots of fence and baricade cover>regulars feel like they get catered to more than at F2Field 2>mom and pop version of an airsoft field>smaller than field 1>safe zone is a bit of a walk from the carpark, not a trek but a bit annoying>safezone is smaller, but more tables and chairs, plus a perch-bench/ small shelf running along the exterior>rough track in but not a killer>sells cans, sweets and BBs, ocasional bangs>open fire to cook lunch if you bring stuff>although smaller, terrain is wild woodland and helps the field feel bigger>one guy has a juggernaught suit to play game modes withthere's a indoor CQB and an outdoor MOUT-esq stlye place nearby but they're further away, the MOUT place is my favourite but too far to go regularlyif you want your field to stand out and be great IMO it needs >clean safe zone with overhead cover over tables>some form of seating>not a massive distance form the carpark>good marshals who at least seem like they care, and are around when needed>variety of game modes including props where possible>sells at least basic snacks/water, the most popular bb weight where you are (so in the UK .2 and .25)>allows you to use pyro/smokes/bangs and has clear rules on them>has clear and not convoluted rules in regards to full auto/MED/knife/bang >preferably mostly the same rules as other local sites>has these rules on their social media/website so you don't get caught out(one site here only lets you use bios and bans one of the most popular BBS in the UK, doesn't mention it until you get there, didn't go back)
>>9971this isn't even the paintball thread anon
>>10267that turned into a longer post than i thoughtsome of the interesting game modes we have here, most places probably have some variation of the same. there's also the basic base assualt, capture the flag, TDM, KOTH etc.5 vs the world>5 players on one team agaisnt the rest of the game day>5 have full auto, everybody else semi>have to defend a base/point against the horde>if hit you join the 5juggernaught>2 teams, usually semi only>juggernought starts in the middle "deactivated", is allowed full auto>need to run up and tap him on the sholder, shout your team colour in his ear>he then joins your team, slow advances on enemy base>enemy team have to hit the pan on the back of his suit>when hit he loses the team and becomes deactivated again>he usually has an LMG with 2-3 mags, marshal helps him to reload to keep the fire up>if he touches your flag you losescientist/pilot game>marshal hides somewhere on site>either both hunting or one defending one hunting>have to find the marshal, take them to the rendevous and hold it for X time>marshal usually has a pistol and if not held onto/touched after X interval will try to escape and hide againFallbackbasically what >>9830 said but under a different nameDrugblocks>during lunch marshals hide X blocks and laptops out on the field, think there's usually liek 10-15 blocks and 3 laptops>blocks are worth 1, laptops worth 3>have to recover them and take them back to base>if hit while carrying you drop it where you were hit>can only carry 1 item>can raid enemy base>sometimes not all the blocks are recovered/marshals forget where they put them, they just stay out until next game.>usually played with fallback/medic rules rather than respawnsSupply run/extract>big ass metal surplus crate/ dummy on stretcher given to one team>takes 2 people to carry, can only use sidearms when carrying>have to take it from your base to another, usually other side of site>other team have to stop you
>>10264>hop up units that allow you to shoot at almost twice the rangeWhat? Flat hop and Rhop have been around since 2011 at least. I use to make custom flat hop bucking out of rubber and super glue them to shaved hop up arms. I guess for whats new you don't have to do that any more. Maple Leaf sells MR Buckings/Nubs and if you are running an AR platform you have Maxx which makes hop ups designed just for flat/rhops.
>>10267>free hot wateroh boy what a fucking treat
>>10201When are you getting her the rest of the tanker kit?
>>10301when I can find any russian gear that fits a 2xs girl's frame
>>10298i've never been big on tuning but this is the first time i hear of such a thing being possible.do they make kits compatible with cyma AKs too?
>>10299makes a difference when it's fucking miserable 75% of the year
>>10310I keep forgetting that there's a world outside FL
>>10267>free hot waterIs your field in Greenland or something?
>>10308You can flat hop any hop for the most part. As for Maxx hop up units they said they had an AK version coming but that was all the way back in 2019 and we haven't heard anything since. Good news is that AK hop-ups are fine and don't really need to be replaced. If you want to get the most performance for the least amount of money I would say pick up a ZCI tight bore from brill armory, and then a Maple Leaf MR hop up bucking and omega nub from airsoft atlanta. If you are not comfortable installing it yourself it should be a really easy and fast job for a tech to do. If they try to use teflon though they are retarded and get a new tech.
Is there any way to hack empty mag detection into a regular AEG with an optical sensor or something?
>>10319you mean like a bolt hold open?
>>10320No, I don't care about bolt stop or anything. I would just love to implement something like paintball eyes where it won't shoot if there's no bb in the chamber.
>>10324ASG EVO Scorpion and TM NGRS are ones that come to mind that blocks the trigger when empty
>>10319hop up chambers exist for that. tehre are also some other ways I dont remember what they were called.
>>10319There was a trigger unit that used an optical sensor a while back but it was really finicky and didnt work well. The only mag cut offs that are worth are the ones that have the mags themselves push a lever or button to let the AEG know its out of ammo. The TM NGRS, ASG Scorpion, Wolverine MTW, and a few others do this.
>>10334VFC mp7 has a magnet in the hop up chamber and another in the magazine follower. When the lat round is shot the magnets touch and it signals the mosfet to stop trigger from shooting the gun. Might be possible to implement in other guns too.
>>10339Interesting, I'll keep that in mindI like hacking stuff together
I'm so glad I don't have to deal with German skeletons
>>7141I can't stand indoor. So many teens bitching about every little thing, constant trailer trash dudes threatening to start fights. Every indoor place I've been to feels like a cross section of the inner city that I paid to be at.
>>10043From someone who made the mistake of buying greyshop, please try to buy from them as little as possible, alot of its fake and bad quality, FSB shop is pretty good tho
>>10106Just please dont buy the railed 045, its such a fucking pain to deal with and i have one
>>10387>FSB shopI know grey shop is airshit quality, but I've heard very specifically that FSB shop is a scam
>>8654Your "gf" has a penis doesn't "she"
Just make sure to pay with credit card so when their system magically eats your order you can easily get your money back.
>>8836If airsoft was so low t then how is he suddenly exempt? Is he, without any proof, suddenly the lone macho chad because he claims? I'm gunna hunt down his gf now just to cuck him because ya'll clowns keep talking like this.
>>10303I mean i hate greyshop but you couls see if they have anything small enough to fit
>>10392Oh shit really? Havent heard that before, ill have to look into it
>>10398>he really came to an anonymous plastic ball tag game general to tell everyone he has a massive cock and will steal some other guy's girlfriend on merit of his testosterone levels aloneoh boy
>>10405You are damn right I will. Im gunna fuck him, then her, and then shut down this hobby for good.
>>10398>Is he, without any proof, suddenly the lone macho chad because he claims?lmao what? when did this statement ever happen? or are you, without any proof, suddenly expressly stating he's a lone macho chad? new board, same pathetic posters
>>10409i dont get how having a girlfriend makes you a macho chad, its a pretty normal thing
>>10430you'd think, until you see this general kek
>>10430Got to take the crowd into consideration
>>10440its only a macho chad thing because yall are either fucking retarded, smell horrible, or so far down the awful rabbit hole of /pol/ that you cant talk to a girl without mentioning war conspiracies and scaring her off
>>10448are you a bot?
>>10449nah beep boop bop
Thanks for answering some shit guys. It'll help a lot>>9618Mostly gamemodes. I get tired of running the same shit every weekend and I'm sure people get tired of playing it. More stuff that involves everybody and makes things flow dynamically.>>9630Oh I kinda already hate airsoft. I'm a paintball guy at heart, but I play with them and have my own setup and everything. Really I don't hate it but I like running around spraying ropes, not sitting down and waiting.>>9753That's one of the reasons I like to play, basically to see what's wrong with the field layout. Ownership of our field changed recently and we've been doing a ton of work on it but money's tight. We have a resident team who's full of chill guys who help the new players out, and that's a fucking blessing. I also want to keep them happy because they've both helped us out a ton and make it worth coming.>>9830Sounds awesome, thanks man.>>9961Gotcha. Our field is 55 or so acres put in the middle of bumfuck nowhere, which is great, but makes it hard for smaller games sometimes.>>10065We did pretty well last season, had 15-30 people every open play which was better than the previous year. We're trying to get the rules ironed out too, and a lot of that is getting our refs on the same page and slimming the rules down while also covering edge cases. I will admit I have to probably be a little less lax on enforcement too, it's important to be consistent.
>>9980Cool. Until the mags leak ever so slightly. Not cool at all. rapid fire trigger isn't possible because of cool down in anything but boiling hot weather. >>10036I held one at a field. They suck. the canted pistol grip puts weight on your wrist in a very unusual way, as you have to constantly use the twisting muscle to keep the gun up. >>10129P90 if field limits are close to .989J, as the P90 hop is difficult to seal if you go a lot higher. Otherwise, pick an SMG. MP5, Scorpion Evo, MP7(GBB). G36 is also a decent relatively light option. >>10303buy a chink chicom chest rig, cut to sizeif you are willing to spend more, find a BFG molleminus micro
>>10036I had thought about getting their AEG ak bullpup kit, but its only compatible with some really odd choices.
>>10405I knew an airsofter who would introduce himself by saying his dick was so big he had to use trash bags as condoms.
Is NGRS worth it?
>>10832No.
>>10834Why not?
>>10129Minigun and a maid outfit.
>>10845Pay double price over any other gun of equivalent quality and build for a little bit of shakeweight action which is in fact yet another failure point, to say nothing of all the proprietary bits.
I'm so happy to play at the field where teh housegamers plays it's so epic I watch all his videos so I can see myself on cam :)))) I wish he would notice me UwU
>>10216Shoots faster in full auto and trigger response gets better. Wears the parts in gearbox faster and run a risk of trigger contacts melting together.
>>10845Expensive as hell and built for japanese military nerds that might use it in a game once. Jap joule limit is under 1j and TM caters to japan first and export second. If you want aeg with recoil there are other options available that are more compactible with existing parts and way cheaper.
G&G just announced new gearbox with empty mag detection for all of you autists
