>>39754Thread prompt:what constitutes an lmg? At many fields you must have one to use full auto but items like above are basically a m4, where does the line lay?
>>39758Gotta have at least an 18 inch barrel length Gotta be heavy (???)
>>39764enter the cybergun featherweight, its an m249 but with m4 internals and weighs ~8lbs loaded. It certainly isn't too heavy but its still a machine gun. not to counter you point but i just want to illustrate how thin the line can be
>>39758((fagsimwest))) dictates an issued lmgbut rpks are allowed, so by spirit I think the faggy ares guns and that Marine HK open bolt AR should technically countbut they recently split it into LMG and GPMG classes which "sorta" makes sensepersonally Id put SMG and LMG in a similar class range so people with snowflake builds like an MG36 with drum mag and a bipod arent butthurt with similar joule cap and ROE like no full auto under 20 feet or near blind corners or something
>>39770what is so bad about milsim west? ive never gone myself
>>39758everything is an LMG in airsoft. Everything.
>>39785nothing reallyI just like ragging on milsim fags, I want to play goldeneye bbwarz, not POG simulator
>>39764>Gotta be heavy (???)Lead-filled PEQ.Remove after weigh-in.
>>39758There is no single definition. The place where I go to defines them by real-world application, so an M4 with a drum doesn't count, even tough it's equal in function to one.
>>39758An actual Belt fed weapon or an RPK. for casual shit G&Gs and Krytacs are fine. For milsims it at least had to be used by a real military in that role.
>>39770the M27 isn't open bolt (The LWRC prototype was) and was just an excuse for the the marines to get a new rifle without goin through the army

>>40240I heard that on big cities it's pretty nice, they have 2-3 fields. But I live in the middle of fucking nowhere, 80k people city. Only way to play is joining the city's group, all good guys. Closest fields is 3h away, so we mostly play on woods the owner let us. Group next city over got city happ to let them play on a big carnival area, when it's empty. I played there a couple of times, lots of fun.The thing is, everything is fucking expensive, compared to income. Nowadays, the cheapest aeg available (plastic cyma m4) costs 1200 huebucks. G&G are going for 2000+. Minimum wage is about 1000 huebucks/month. On the field itself, everybody runs M4s, cheaper guns, parts, and rail space. I have a JG AUG, only one I've seen so far, in my 5+ years playing.tl;dr - compared to the US or europe, 3/10, expensive, but still fun.
>>40344G&G are going for 2000+ BRL>when you can buy a real 5.56 M4gery kit in Burgerland for the same price.t. /k/
>>40347m8, a basic bitch Glock 17 is going for 10.000+, roughly 2500 dollars..This covid economic crisis fucked us over big time, huebucks went from 2,50 maybe 3,00 for a dollar to fucking 5,70. Everything imported is so fucking expensive now.And on top of all this, Ive been wanting to buy a gbb rifle, and rape my bank account evem nore.
>>39879Wabbout RPKs or BARs?
>>39754Posted in the last thread, but it was towards the end. I'll post it here to just in case:I've got an old Olympic Arms M4 that I would like to make heavier to better replicate the actual feel of a real one. Is there any way to do this, or do I just have to buy a whole new rifle?
>>40344Those prices are bad, and that's speaking as a third worlder from potato land. Around here the minimum wage is also just above 2000, but a basic cyma 028 is typically below 400Any legal restrictions over there? Around here nobody really cares, no red flashiders, no nothing, just have to below the 1,7 joule limit for toys.
>>39770snowflake builds are self made issued guns that no one makes. Think Ameli. If someone tries to pull an MG36, call them a retard and tell them to fuck off, no ARs with drum mags.
>>40513>potato landIreland or Poland?
>>40513Sounds like even a wagie could save for a few months and get some decent stuff though. TaiwanGun has pretty good prices and discounts stuff regularly.
>>40513Until 2010 at least, airsoft had to be registered like a real gun, and all of the paperwork related made it prohibitely expensive. But the government started deregulating them a while back, so now all you need is the receipt and the orange tip. there were talks about not needing an importing license to import guns, don't know what happened to that. Last round was deregulating scopes and attachments, so we can at least import those now.>alibaba is 1/3 of the pricegonna get myself an acog soon
>>40621>a government actually deregulating something gun relatedBased Slavs. I'm convinced airsoft will get banned or legislated to fuck at some point here (UK).
Do you guys think its disrespectful to wear real used vietnam fatigues for airsoft? They look better and are cheaper than the reproductions.....
>>40753I think it's one of those heavily subjective thingsSome vets might think it's cool their old gear gets used for a fun sport, whereas another one might dislike it a lot. It's really up to you, but I think most people wouldn't really care though and tones of people use surplus stuff.
>>40753Who's going to know?
Was thinking of getting an SMG for my second gun, what airsoft P90 or MP5 should I get? Also does any good airsoft MP40s exist?
>>40799Get one of those "swordfish" mp5s from evike. They seem to always be on sale too. Avoid the mp5k unless you are doing cqb in a broom closet, and don't by the spendy umarex/vfc mp5s. They have shit tier internals. The p90 is a meme with terribad mags and hard to source pouches.
anyone else live in an area without a field?>only way to play airsoft is play at two shitty paintball fields>get covered in paint cum at one or get covered with a decade's worth of paintball dust at the other>the average airsoft player at either of these fields is retarded>have to travel to an event in the next state over if you want to play at all>said "event" is hosted by people who mismanage their events every single time
>>40842Guessing youre from the south?
>>40842You don't have forests over there? You can just go somewhere random people don't go and have fun.
>>40799>Also does any good airsoft MP40s exist? The chinese AGM ones are supposedly decent, but I haven't had the chance to check for myself. The current Cyma MP5's are very nice, the metal body ones.
>>40753Why would it be disrespectful? They're just clothes. Is this some American "thank u 4 ur cervix" thing I'm too European too understand?
>>40753Why would it be disrespectful? They get sold to surplus to be used by people. Who's expecting their old tiger stripes to bought and used by seal team 6?Literal "stolen honor" is a different matter.
>>40799SRC EBB MP40 is probably pretty good, my mate got the MP41 and it works like a charm
>>40799The new CYMA mp5's are fucking good. Though you have to wait for a while for them to release one with classic furniture
Are there any semi-alive forums anymore. Reddit just sucks for airsoft because everyone just posts their gun or exterme newbie questions.
>>40799Short barrel M4.
>>40899Not really. And don't bother trying discord, even if you are super desperate and drunk. That entire media service is filled with pedophiles. The only way to find any real discussion is selective entry boomer facebook groups or replica specific interest pages on other social media platforms.
>>40860It's "Stolen Valor" and I agree. I don't care if someone playing airsoft is running around in the cammies I was issued 16 years ago, an old Vietnam field jacket or a T-Shirt with some weird anime titty girl on it so long as he isn't being an ass to me or mine, ya know? The dudes who roll around in public in Grunt Style tees talking about "The Sandbox" that never served as anything other than a McDonalds line cook otoh are faggots
Is there a decent FG42 AEG that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
>>40898Can vouch for that, bought one last year (same as pic, but not mine). Ditched my AK74 for it. CYMA seem to have got the ootb performance really good, I guess they've accumulated a lot of experience whilst churning them out.
>>39758Field I go to let’s LMGs use full auto only if they’re prone/kneeling and put out the bipod, it lends itself to them playing the role they’re supposed to have IRL without getting into technicality over what is or isn’t a machine gun
>>41101That's sounds fucking awful
>>41101That's really cool. Wish my field was even half as autistic as that.
>>40848>>40853No, I live in Nevada
My old 2nd AEG. I miss not having a reason to use it in forever. Still bought the midcaps for it. Someday...
>>41291>not having a reason to useAnd what reason might that be?
>>41305Too damn long. I have shorter AEGs with similar performance, and I play more urban/CQB fields now.
>>40899Air soft society.com
People always say sniping in airsoft is boring as hell, but what about running a spring sniper and a small AEG like an MP5 or something with both on slings? It seems like it'd be fun to have an AEG to primary but then you could switch over to the rifle to pick people off when you get a chance.
>>41390After a while you realize you can just build an MP5 with the same ballistic properties.
>>41395Ah yes, because every field will let you use a 450 fps full/semi auto MP5
>>41404Mine will, no full auto because that’s only for lmg’s. The other field doesn’t chrono at all and the indoor place has 330 limit
>>40898where the fuck do I get one?
>>41390If that's what you want to do, then go for it. A lot of advice is for people who can't afford to buy multiple guns, so they need to maximize their spending dollaroos. But if you can afford to buy a sniper and an SMG and then change your mind about your entire loadout without a care, then that's fine too.
>>41430I like the idea of gradually building one type of each main gun, so I have plenty of loaners and I can also vary my loadout when I play. It's not something I want to do all at once, just gradually over time as I get waves of disposable income and find good deals on things.I do understand that's not typical though
Is the ASG Dan Wesson 8" fun for just plinking and not shooting actual people? My country has a 1 joule limit but this gun seems to get around that by coming with low powered shells but the same store in my country also sells the high powered shells with a warning that they go beyond 1 joule, which seems perfect for my needs. The only other gun I would want is a ww2 bolt action with real wood and shell ejecting but they seem to be so low power compared to a much cheaper metal revolver.
>>41448I think it's more common than you think. I usually bring 3-4 guns to the field. 1) to change playstyle if I feel like it, and 2) in case something breaks (friends included). It sucks ass to sit out a game to troubleshoot something. I'd rather grab another gun and play, then do all the repairs at home where I'm not paying for the privilege of attending.
>>41518This is my main.
>>41518Compared to an AR, yes
>>41534It's smaller in that image though. Are you agreeing with me now?
>>41536the AR has a 12.5" barrel the MP5 an 8.8"
>>41538Yes anon, it's typical for SMGs to have shorter barrels. That's kind of my point. What is your endgame with this?
NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!MP5 is smaller, but not by much. So y'all need to STFU about this stupid argument.
>local paintball field is now owned by guy i know going back a decade.>is getting airsoft allowed there by city>is allowing input and field design from me and a few others who use to run private games before public fields even existedSo pretend you get the chance to build out your own field. Its in a semi wooded area where you can clear out underbrush and small trees. What type of structures would you build? What are your favorite site features from places you have played? Not every day I get the chance to help build my dream field and want as much inspiration as I can get. If doing anything crazy it will have to come out of my pocket so don't just say connex castle or some shit (though if I had the money I would do it). Total area is about 4 acres.
>>41390Mp5 is not small enough unless you go with a mp5k from experience. I would suggest one of the gas mp7 or mp9s. Or run a full auto glock as a sidearm.
>>41547 Have two story buildings with windows...any way you can. And create buildings that have good lines of sites to those windows to counter themSee if you can get an old junkyard car and throw it in the middle of the field like a crash and cover it with shruberry Is there any sort of themes you want to go with in general? Every map kind of had it's schtick that makes people fill in the blanks on what happened...even if it's not totally intentional
>>41547conex boxes used for buildings, they are around 2-4k and allow you to have a second story by just putting stairs on it. Also what >>41652 said, try to get junked cars, I would remove/break the windows first however as they can provide a hazard. Also if you can try to get the quality of all cover upgraded to well built plywood covers (not osb) and try to but a ply covering on all pallets (if your feild is built like that)
>>41547>>41661also try to do trenches if possible they can be fun, there is a place in VA called newkent with them and they are great, as for the expense I still recommend a conex but you could get a short 20ft one as they are cheaper. And remember you dont need 100 conexes you can just get one or two to make it work. Good luck and Godspeed anon
>>41547I hate randomly placed pallets and barrels for the sake of cover. I also hate fields so cluttered with crap that it's nothing but narrow corridors and alleys. I guess I'm basically a "less is more" kinda person. But if you're asking about dream field, de_dust.
How do glasses bros play this shit? I tried it out one time and had to put on goggles and my glasses didnt fit and left me basically blind with my 20/200 visison....
>>416711) Get goggles that fit over glasses2) Get glasses that fit under goggles3) Get (disposable) contactsI do 1 & 3. Disposables are like $1 a pair.

Looks like I'm starting an airsoft accessories business, boys. Have a computer controlled cnc machine, 5 commercial 3D printers and a really good connection to a Chinese knock-off optics factory thats started sending samples over. Starting with branded optics near-clones, AFGs, mock suppressors and grips. >>41749Can you reclaim T7075 from gun buybacks? I'm sure some will want to turn in ARs for scrap value. Another good source for aluminium is motorcycles, especially scrapped ones. Anyone have an AW custom carbine kit and an elite force gen 5 glock 17? It's a very tight fit and it has trouble cycling in the kit. I've tried taking it apart and sanding down the contact points where the kit means the slide. I'm wondering if it could just be that the gen 5 slide is fatter than previous elite force glocks

I wanted some input. Before i stopped playing airsoft, i was planning on doing a night rig. My plan was to do a work around for my local fields rules for Night games. If you run a AEG at night you must either have a Tracer Unit, or flashlight while shooting. To simulate muzzle flash. If you ran a gas set up, you did not have to follow this rule. my friend would run a gas shot gun and absolutely destroy. he also liked to do this set up because at the end of the day your pretty tired of running around completely decked out. Would you run a Gas Pistol set up with a SBR conversion, 4x gas mags, speed loader, and green gas on a battle belt?I think it could be a pretty good set up for night games.

Has anyone done any DIY projects for airsoft? Today I painted my gear bag black, threw some Scotchgard waterproofing on it and sewed a patch to the side.I was curious if anyone has suggestions for making a bb "trap". I'd like to shoot my gun indoors but I don't want to fuck up the drywall/paint or have bb's laying everwhere

>>39770The IAR isn't issued with drum magazines. If you took it in with midcaps, you could probably get the 1500rnd initial issue, but you wouldn't be permitted to use a drum magazine with it. This is primarily because IARs look exactly like regular HK416s most of the time and are just argument starters. The Ares Shrike isn't issued by any existing military force and is therefore not permitted, just like you wouldn't be able to use an AUG or a FAMAS unless you were doing a NATO impression that uses either of those weapons. On the other hand, RPKs are issued with drums and are distinct from other AK variants in look and silhouette. Most people who run them use midcaps anyway. The LMG/MMG split wasn't recent either. It's been in the rulebook for for more than five years.>>43347You were on NATO weren't you? There are 4channers that do militia and RUSFOR impressions who don't take shit too seriously and have a good time. Like a lot of these sorts of things, it's as much who you're with as what you're doing.
>>43482>There are 4channers that do militia and RUSFOR impressions who don't take shit too seriously and have a good time. Many RUSFOR groups are known specifically for getting drunk in the field and keeping NATO from sleeping at night above anything else.
>>43480>West Germany>Literally hasn't existed for 30 years>Only in use by police and domestic security units>Wearing some modern GAYTACS rip-off abomination kit and not a proper period-correct 80s GSG-9 kitThat's not adoption you dumb seething faggot, that's a local department's acquisitions. Don't get me wrong, the HK33 is a great gat, but don't go ascribing some German-engineering cope like you can even claim to be a fraction of what legit kraut impressionists do. You can't even take a photo that's in focus.
>>43484Stop seething u autist.But I agree with the focus part. That's unforgivable.

>>43491Newbie paste was pre-germanbro, though /asg/ was a different thread with different needs. It was 2014, and not everyone had such a stick up their asses about it, but I do agree that it should be easier to parse info from paste. I've been working on a style update to improve readability and informational organization.
i bought a CZ75
>>43471Is that the LCT HK33? I bought the Classic Army version just before LCT announced their's. The Classic Army one is okay, mosfet is nice, but it feels a bit flimsy, LCT must be a brick.
>>43525Its built like a brick shithouse and weighs like 10lb but thats good because i destroy gunsshoots great but when i first got it all of the controls were super tight because of LCTs tight ass tolerances.
>>43482Yeah, we were NATO. We wanted guerilla ont he 2nd, even got the tickets for it but they swapped us since there were 3 of us and they wanted those spots to go to some other guys that were friends with someone in the cadre for guer. I could see MSW being fun if the people would stop trying to LARP big Army and line-Marines and would just go a bit more "Panty Raid at Delta Phi". That said, I've heard Desert Fox events are better and there's rumor they might run one nearby in the fall.
>>43607I cannot emphasize this enough: GO MILITIA/RUSFOR. I distinctly remember sneaking around the line the first night at Caspian Breakout and hearing an unidentified unit talking to each other. It sounded so unlike any way I've ever heard people talk on RUSFOR, we knew immediately it was NATO, and then we ambushed the shit out of them. NATO gets filled to the brim by weird fetishists who talk like military robots. RUSFOR and Militia is also filled with weird LARPers (I'm definitely one of them), but it's definitely a lot more light-hearted and self-aware.If you absolutely must stick to NATO though, check out TF Keg. They're 10th mountain impressionists, and they're all super chill too. Desert Fox events are just your typical 3-day pick-up game "milsim" experience but with a neat app. Plenty well produced, but nothing new.
>>43347I'm guessing you're actual military. I've heard this complaint a lot from other dudes that are/were and I feel ya, but I would suggest going again and having the mindset that you're trying to help younger guys learn and appreciate the knowledge we have and providing them with some small manner of mentorship. It can be very fulfilling that way
>>43617Militia sounds fun, I wouldn't do RUS because all the shit I have is M4s and desert camo or kryptek highlander. But throwing on some jeans, a safari shirt and running around with my MP5K or beater M4 and shouting in weird accents could be fun. >>43624I mean, that sounds fair enough, and you're right. But dude, I got my own kids and worked as an instructor for a tour, I don't wanna do that shit
>>43617>If you absolutely must stick to NATO though, check out TF Keg. They're 10th mountain impressionists, and they're all super chill too.Is that why they quit in the first hour of Saratov?
What is the best SMG/PDW under $250 that isn't an ARP9?
>>43625Honestly, a militia approved kit is super cheap and easy to acquire. The beater M4 would work great too. Give it a shot sometime.>>43626A lot of NATO bailed on Saratov 5, but Keg stuck through the whole thing. I know because someone from a RUSFOR group I'm familiar with was running keg, and even NATO, he wouldn't hear the end of it if he quit out early.
>>43626>>43632Idk what it is, but whatever is the US camo at the time you get the biggest whimps. Until recently I always ran as either flecktarn or m81 at events. Last one I went to I was multicam because team is switching to it. We had 1/2 the team sitting in base getting their shit shoved in during the first evo. We had only been playing for an hour or so. Even back at AMS Iron Horse 2 I remember it was raining day 2 and 1/2 of tan didn't show up.
>>43657>We had 1/2 the team sitting in base getting their shit shoved in during the first evo.Oh, so you're the tards who got wasted by RUSFOR because you had the bright idea to set up tents while nobody pulled security.
>>43661Nah this was small event in FL. Everyone was at base because they were out shape and couldn't deal with heat.
>>43688oofMaybe airsoft events like these should put a list of excercises people should try to do before the event so players can figure out how much gear is too much for them. I've seen a few people heatcas out of games, and its usually fatties with way too much gear on them.
>>43657Seems like tan players need better rain gear then. or a reminder to bring some.
>>43688>Everyone was at base because they were out shapeSo every airsoft game.
>When the NATO guy shows up with genuine OPS-core Fast helmet and ballistic plates in his vestJust running around with metal mags was enough milsim for me.
>>43759>tfw ITAR means that Militech FAST clones are more correct for RUSFOR than actual FASTsIts the little things like this that make RUSFOR fun.
>>39754I am attracted by the idea of being in the army, and the associated perception of strength and respect that goes with it. Furthermore I like the feelings of potency that go with wearing and using military clothes, equipment, and guns. However, I am unfit, overweight, and emotionally fragile. Is Airsoft the sport for me?
>>43845Yes but your platoon will leave you out of the pictures.
>>43845Yeah it's pretty fun and makes you feel cool...but how come you don't try to get /fit/? I realize you can't always help mental problems but often times bettering yourself can help you with your mental problems as well, which is another plus. There's no real reason to not be fit or at least not overweight
>>43845Why does no one run kits with BDUs?
>>43861Because not everything is a Vietnam or Panama event.
>>43862I meant in like pickup games too, rarely ever seen it if not just the pants
>>43864BDU's aren't actually good. People wear modern shit because it's unironically far better, as clothing made 50 years later should be. You'll never see anyone in the south wearing anything that doesn't have crotch vents in the summer if they have any money to throw at a kit. BDUs are heavy, not that durable, and as traditionally patterned clothes they're not as easy to move around in. Period kit is fragile and costs a decent bit to get, and most reproduction gear is visibly wrong.
>>43865B-But it looks good...
>>43870To a farb.
>>43874Gonna wear ALICE gear with jungle fatigues just to piss you off
>>43876Great, just make sure you hydrate properly. And try not to rip your pants.
Anyone own the combat pants from grey shop? How is the quality? Looking for combat pants with knee pad slots that aren't emershit or $300 crye. Alternatively if there are pants that are both durable and ventilated I am open to purchase that instead.
>>43897UR Tactical, UF Pro or VoinsAlso don't use gayshop
>>43876There's nothing wrong with that. Lots of cool guys did that after Vietnam and before woodland. What, did you think the years between 1972 and 1981 didn't exist?
>>43903go to grey shop and look up combat pants
>>43626Fwiw the best impression of 10th Mountain would be not showing up until 3 days later and forgetting all your vehicles. The did that shit i Somalia and they did it all the fucking time in Afghanistan. The absolute shittiest QRF division in history
>>43911uncool, dare I say lame
>>43897It seriously depends on the brand and your budget. Anything gayshop branded, ignore completely. ANA is basically Emershit-tier, and SSO isn't all that much better for the price either. If you're buying from gayshop, Voin or SRVV are the two good options. Could get Stich Profi, but the best way to get that is through a facebook middleman gear dealer, and I don't think you wanna play that game just yet.
>>43845only you can find out. but i would try to address the following issues>attracted by the idea of being in the army, and the associated perception of strength and respect that goes with itthis is cuckoldry>Furthermore I like the feelings of potency that go with wearing and using military clothes, equipment, and gunsthis is weird>However, I am unfit, overweight, and emotionally fragilethis is just embarrassing, sort yourself out mate

>>44228I don't care about military anything, I just wanna play call of duty in real life
>>43703The best weight limits I had seen professionally are as follows45lbs > Extremely in shape and can hike over 10 miles on a reasonable incline without being completely winded, for carrying gear that you will not be running in as it will fuck up your joints/back40 lbs > Very good shape, able to run a 5k without having to stop, not for running more than 15 steps at a time25lbs > In good shape, can jog 3 miles without pain or stoppage. If you're comfortable here, you can run in this gear at most fitness levels without worrying about hurting too much the next day20lbs > ideal weight for most fitness levels where you'll be able to walk long distances and run short ones (think 20-25 yards) without greatly effecting overall stamina. Essentially the most you ever want to put on yourself in a game that lasts under 2 hours15lbs > Assuming your mile time is over 9 minutes, this is your max until you can work up the cardio to get it to a reasonable time. Cardio greatly effects all your physical abilities and it's a good idea that if you're limited to this weight, that you make sure you have atleast 2 liters of water in that kit for a game with any reasonable length of time required. All these weights include your gun and boots. Heavy boots are often a much bigger problem for people trying to maneuver than the weight of their pack or weapon. As far as exercises to get ready, I'd say jogging 2+ miles a day or biking for more than 10 miles is a good call for cardio. Pull ups, crunches and burpees (with a pack on the stronger you get) are a good call. And personally I HIGHLY recommend yoga for helping add to cardio and strength over time without beating yourself up too much. Drink plenty of water, don't go too hard in to gatorade because the sodium levels are very high and you'll get the worst headaches and lethargy when you've had too much.
>>39754If people leave their stuff unattended in the safezone then it's fair game, right? I took a speedloader I found on the floor and a bottle of green gas left in a bag on the floor and my friend said it was basically stealing (there was hardly anything left in the bottle, like 6-8 gas charges left).
>>39754How do I fix wobble in the outer barrel on an aug? Only the metal extension past the fake gas block/gas key wobbles. And it does it just enough to piss me off. Is there anyway to tighten that or do I need to just buy a whole new outer assembly?

paintball was so much better than airsoft, way too many liars in airsoft.

>>45031literally this, unless its some fucking cheating nigger and the ref doesn't give a shit
>>44530>>45031Is this such a huge issue now? I am just starting to really get back into everything. Went to first event in years at end of last month and didn't really have any issues with hit calling. Back in the day there were no public fields in FL so you had to know a team or group that had access to private land to really play. If you fucked up and got kicked out of your local scene you were SOL for the most part so we never had any major issues.
>>41671I bought one of those RX sport goggles for bouldering and they're a lot more flush that regular glasses so I can wear them under most goggles. For glasses in general, the Pyramex Capstone seems to have the ability for both my regular specs and the sport goggles. This is made even easier since the strap has a clip so setting it on my face, locking, then tightening is easier. Pyramex also as shooting glasses that just fit over my glasses as well, but the name escapes me right now.For outdoors I have been alternating between the TM ones with the fan and Rothco OTG. However lately I have been using the Pyramex shooting goggles since they're easier and the field has allowed them.Recently got myself a pair of the Valken VSMs, and they're somewhere between the Rothco OTG and Pyramex in terms of profile, however, I find them juuust wide enough for my full sized glasses, so ymmv. Much like the Pyramex Capstone, they have a strap with a clip.Prior to gaming, I treat everything with some sorta anti-fog, even the TM. The longer the game though the accumulation of sweat on the lenses seem to function like a natural anti-fog.
>>45287>>41671Pic related are the RX goggles I bought - CentroStyle Sports Goggle.
>>45287>>41671K, found the shooting glasses, it's the Pyramex Cappture.
>>43617>go militia>get stuck with 4chanNah
>>45363Yeah I've had some interaction with the type around the fields I play at, there are some cool dudes but there are almost more autists as well. I guess I got lucky that one of the more chill teams that run in my area want to pick me up.
Anyone know any good uniform for hot and humid weather? The best I've found so far is the Russian Sumrak suit. Rhodesian hot pants are an obvious alternative but I'd prefer something that covers more skin
Combat shirt. Then go high speed low drag. No need to kill yourself over playing a game.Or you can be a faggot like me and still wear a plate carrier. I put in hard freezer packs where the plates go.
>>45428>>45477thisalso run belt kit instead of chest rig kit, your body tries to radiate heat away from your torso and any layer you put on your chest will be an issue. If you really dgaf, just play in an underarmor or similar compression shirt without suspenders with mags on a belt and a small backpack that holds a camelbak. absolutely insanely chilly effect as it wicks away mosture to the outside and over a large area, which provides heaps of cooling.
>>45428Sticking to Russian stuff, the UF Pro, UR Tactical, Voins and Crye-clones are all fantastic and have tons of vents. Of course wearing a wife beater and short shorts under a Sumrak is hard to beat.
>>39754>>39758LMGs in my opinion should typically be replicating a real-world example of a gun that serves the role in question, not entirely a fan of the kinds of people who show up with a lightweight AR, standard AK, etc. that they slapped a drum or casket in and went "oh this is an LMG"; things like the M27 IAR and MCR for ARs or the RPK for AKs would be the minimum in my opinionMight be able to make an exception for some replicas of full-length .308 rifles that are built for the role, though, my issues are primarily with people that assume a very large magazine and literally nothing else makes it an LMG/MMG so they just bring in a shorty AR/AK and slap a big mag in it
>>45428pants and a shirt, mags in pockets maybe a dump pouch on your belt.
>>45428Cheap Old Navy fitness wear and a breathable Hawaiian shirt. I run everything else on a belt and wear a small vest that covers only my chest cuz I don't like how getting shot in the nipples feels.
>>45951It was good at the time but it's heavy and breathes poorly compared to modern options. Ain't even got ballsack vents.
>>46060>getting shot in the nipplesThere is a solution for this.
>>45363Bro, 4chan groups - if they even associate with 4chan anymore - go regular RUSFOR these days and have their hands full with that. Chances are if you go militia you'll either end up with MSW newbies who are there to LARP, or vets who want a change of pace from their usual group. Yeah, 4chan has put out a militia platoon before, but the number of randos in that group is was fairly small, the rest getting put into a separate platoon. Chances are if you have any meaningful interaction with the openly 4chan shitters, it's because you're seeking it out. Just go militia. It's not that serious. You'll have F U N. Faget.
>>46093do they make these in multicam?
>>46123Sorry, only in Turkish ATACS Arid.

>>46382>A video game of 1 to 1 airsoft by any reasonable devwould be like any of the greg hastings games but airsoft edition>closest to the spirit of a weekend skirmishSome mixture of Arma RP, Rising Storm 2 post game lobbies, Squad autism, and a bit of Gary's Mod RP.

>>46382A simulation of a simulation...I don't really see the point as most people want airsoft to be more realistic anyways, unlike paintball. But if you want airsoft anyways the death system would be a bit weird but one thing I would expect is lots and lots and lots of bb spam outdoors and just speedsoft indoor maps, no real reason to roleplay. Also customization had better be amazing
Haven't gone to a field in a while, and because of that my TM px4's magazine seals are completely fucked and dont hold gas at all.. is it worth trying to fix this or should I just get new mags. The mags are a couple years old.
>>46612Shit like this makes me appreciate the insane degree to which I an abuse and neglect actual firearms to no consequence. My AK has literally not been cleaned in 10 years and thousands of rounds. Airsoft still fun even if the gear's kinda shite.
>>40848>from the SouthBro, doesn't Georgia, the Carolinas, and Florida have like some of the most famous outdoor fields in the East Coast?
>>46612I don't know about your mags, but mine are $40-50 each, so yeah, I would fix them. After the usual attempts like teflon tape and such, I wound up using RTV sealant, and that seemed to hold the gas. I assume you mean the bottom part of the chamber and not the part that goes into the pistol.
>>46612Holy shit, PX4 mag o-rings are a pain in the goddamn ass to get back in. They aren't so much o as square and have to be perfect or else they pinch.

>>46727Yeah>>46755They were always bad at getting shit out. I'm in Arizona and that shit still can take a week. The trick is just do 3 day shipping or better and they put your order at the front of the line
>>46818>>46837And they still sell daisy bb guns, and pellet guns, but pulled airsoft for some reason.

I will be making a new thread tomorrow lets not make a million threads like last time. any suggestions for the next thread?
>>47235I really don't know if we need to be making a new thread the moment this one burns anymore. /xs/ is moving much slower now that the board isn't listed in the announcements bar any longer too. If anyone can think of useful information to add, speak up.https://pastebin.com/Qy01C4Ta
>>47256thanks ill use it, as for the new thread I think making one after it hits 300 is needed so we can keep /asg/ on the first page
>>46889sounds good to me. don't wanna be a gatekeeper, and getting green gas from walmart seems really easy, but provided the people who want to airsoft can still get airsoft stuff easily thats fine. the biggest risk to airsoft is blowback from someone being killed cause they had an airsoft gun. just imo>>47235no discord. we should all take the pledge: i will ignore discord threads and wait till a non-discord /asg/ is posted

>>47323when making last and this thread I purposely deleted it from the copy pasta as discord, by its nature is full of faggots and degenerates, they aren't called discord trannies for nothing. On another note, with the considerations of the thread i will be waiting until tomorrow until posting a new thread for we have not yet hit the autosage territory yet and the wishes of others.
Should make a thread inviting everyone in, and use it to fish for fags to make it easier to black list them.
>>47436thats not how 4chan works you can do it to stop name and tripfags but not individual posters, might be useful to get peoples gear and spot them in other posts and in real life but I doubt its effectiveness
Why dont people use PDWs more? There is literally zero downside to using them even in field play.>Just as accurate>Smaller>lighterWhat am I missing here? Is it that people just want to larp with ARs?
>>43127A fair lot. I'm working on converting a Soviet PNV-57E night vision unit for stand-alone use (while airshit-proofing); a PMK-3 gas mask to NATO-spec (while also airshit-proofing), tailoring a Philippine SAF fatigue uniform to be not-shitty, and recently made myself a custom Woodland combat shirt.I never really considered custom gear much of a hassle. You just get the supplies you need to work; and if you can't do something yourself you just find someone who takes money for it.
>>47615AR/AK parts and magazine availability (for those platforms specifically, of course), some roles require guns of a certain variety to meet them (ex. DMRs, LMGs, MMGs), their choice might better fit their equipment (which would be the LARP bit, I suppose), and some people just like running around in the field with something they personally prefer from an aesthetic and/or handling standpoint over something like a short-barrelled subgunI'd safely say those are the first things to come to mind, though they might not be the only ones and there are probably important details I missedPersonally have an externally-stock 14.5" King Arms M4A1 as a primary at the moment, because I like the way it looks compared to something like a PDW-built AR; I can see the practical appeal of having something short and light to run around with, though, which is why an MP5SD variant is on my list of guns I want to get
>>47639I get the parts thing, but this whole AR being meta thing is pretty boring. There so much cool shit to pick from and try which is seems like such an appealing prospect but every one just wants to run around with basic bitch ARs.On a side note I picked up a King Arms P90 elite that has that upgraded nylon fiber body. Waiting for my C-More red dot and a new trigger & warfet. Thinking about picking up the acetech brighter c too. should be fun.
>>47615Because 9mm ARs have the benefits of SMGs and ARs (part interchangeability) But I do wish there was a bigger non AR market, especially for WW2 guns
>>47615Because I hate the idea of a 50ft MED submachine gun.I have a full size AK-74M for a field gun and I'm putting together a CQB rated AKS-74U for, well, CQB. Mostly so I don't have to spend another $90 for a rack of midcaps.
>>47647How much does barrel length actually effect range though?Everything that ive read says bb weight, hop, and barrel diameter is what your after.
>>47652>How much does barrel length actually effect range though? It don't. Compression, spring power, and your hop do.
Why is everyone mad at the SSG1? People are saying its not fare, but its kinda cheap and literally anyone can buy one, yet some fields are banning this gun specifically.
>>47656Because fuck speedsofters.
>>47656What makes it not fair?
>>47656Airsoft, unlike paintball (witch the SSG1 very much resembles) has its roots in some amount of realism. Almost every airsoft gun out there is strictly based on something that is real, unlike the SSG1. Very few non real airsoft guns exist with only a few coming to my mind, such as that one weird space m4 the halo ma5 and a few movie prop guns. Further more it is literally called the speedsoft gun and speedsofters are not particularly the most liked group for notable reasons such as many joule creeping, having retardedly high rps like 50-60 to get around full auto rules by just spamming the triger to effectively reach 25-30 rps in semi, and being just all-around dickbags. >>47656This abomination? Why wouldn't you just go play paintball instead?
>>47656Most people simply think it's a disgusting paintball-looking gun, amongst other things; I think that it's an overpriced, poor-quality gun made by a company that's (to my knowledge) way behind on internal quality standards, with a trigger banned at most fields with sense for being used to dodge full-auto bans/restrictions to magdump people (and knowing the crowd it's appealing to, that was 100% put on there so that it would be readily available when it's inevitably given a drop-in high-ROF gearbox or HPA engine); the fact that it resembles a paintball marker and has a buffer-tube drop stock is honestly the least of my concernsI don't doubt that someone could try to spin it as a sci-fi gun of some sort if they wanted to mess around with the externals, but frankly as it currently stands it's somewhat unappealing in appearance, the stock internals aren't worth the money and above all else it screams "but ref it's not full-auto because I'm simply slapping the mouse-click trigger 30+ times a second with three fingers so I can magdump that guy" with the blade trigger
>>47659If I had to guess, he's most likely referring to the complaints about the blade trigger (pictured) that comes stock on the non-USR gun and is often used in tandem with HPA engines or DSG builds that have mouseclick triggers to circumvent full-auto rules by making it possible to relentlessly trigger-spam with it at full-auto rates of fire while still being on semi-auto; a lot of fields have banned them for that exact reasonAnd before someone calls me on it, yes, I know that I forgot the USR version of the gun with a standard trigger exists in that first post; my complaint about the standard version and its internal quality for the price still stands
