>>146980Thankfully I know enough stand up grappling to counter grapple and keep things standing up.As long as I stay alert and don't gas out it's very unlikely they could get me to the ground unless I wanted to. Trained with judoka and wrestlers for years.With that in mind I would just be careful about throwing kicking and instead turn it into a dirty boxing match where I pressure them with high volume and high mobility. I want them to feel like they can't move anywhere or do anything without dealing with several punches with no easy to predict pattern.They might be willing to take a few punches while going for a take down, but after several attempts get stuffed or countered, while getting peppered with punches on the way in and the way out, things start feeling desperate.I have seen people break down in frustration from unrelenting pressure+ counters in light sparing. To deal with that with full strength hits would take a will of steel.
