what do you think it is? a hoax, and if not, will it ever be deciphered?
im a skeptic, albeit a hopeful one, so i’m guessing it’s the manic writings of some educated individual, but i hope it’s something more.

I don't know if this is a popular theory, but I believe the author was a passionate herbalist who was abducted/invited by aliens to their planet for years or possibly decades. When he visited earth again, possibly to die on his home planet, he left this manuscript behind. The script used is possibly alien, possibly his own code, possibly a melange, or many it's just a rare dialect of ancient Turkish. The plant life portrayed is mainly alien, and he's mixed some representations of their microscopic biological processes in their too, represented by what is today considered strange metaphorical imagery but was quite common practice in medieval drawings. The aliens were teaching him about said processes, but in order to make sense of this info and make it consumable to other humans of the period, he used said 'strange' imagery.
>>35936296>what's your theory on the voynich manuscriptThe art is bad quality and the text is insanely good by comparison. Probably some schizo or schizos worked on it for schizo reasons.>what do you think it is?The world's weirdest book. I've watched a few documentaries but never studied the text myself since I'm not a cryptographer. The art is interesting on the surface but as an amateur artist myself I can see the drawings are more like doodles than actual representations or artistic creations. They are not the product of careful study. They look like the work of a tween who just draws for fun. The text is praised for being indecipherable yet appearing to be structured like a real language with established syntax and grammar. I'm not a linguist so I can't give an opinion on the matter, I just think it's neat that someone hundreds of years ago could effectively invent a completely original language and alphabet and write a whole book with it without making a single mistake.>a hoax, and if not, will it ever be deciphered?I don't know if it was created with the intention of hoaxing readers, but it's status as the world's most mysterious book makes it worth looking into. I think it will be deciphered, maybe it already has been but the one/s who deciphered it realized it was just gibberish or mundane fantasy, so they didn't publish their findings for fear of spoiling the value of the mystique surrounding it. Most likely, in my opinion anyway, the Voynich Manuscript is worth more as an icon of exceptional human creativity and illusion than as a scholarly work.
>>35936602The drawings are meticulous and have far too much purpose and dedication to be 'doodles'. Whoever did them believed they were highly important. Whether that was a schizo delusion or not is anyone's guess, but just because he lacked skill doesn't mean it was just mindless doodles. Besides, most parchment drawings from that time period were of this quality, by the standards of that time this is just average.

>>35936296Okay so I remember it actually made the news circa 2017-2018 that, quite literally, 4chan cracked it through the power of autism in approximately 4 hours after some institution outsourced it to the internet. There were multiple scholars that spent decades trying lol. It's just a basic herbology book from a med student. The pictures are all fantastic and such, but the text itself is disappointingly mundane. I can't remember where, but they even found what region it likely came from.Trust me I was hoping for real alchemical secrets lost to time such as Greek Fire or those Byzantine Grenades or whatever. Sadly, it's just not that cool. I'll probably get torn apart for ruining everyones fun, but I didn't write the book guys. Sorry.
I think I heard one theory that the manuscript was basically made as a novelty piece. Meant to look magickal hiding a secret code so it could be sold to some rich guy who was interested in that.jhgtd0
man i have a hard time believing that. ik 4chan houses possibly some of the most genius people in the planet but god damn that is just a stretch. if you could find a link to it or just a lead that would be incredibly valuable. thx m8
>>35939053This is probably a lie given you posted no evidence just a vague “trust me bro”.
>>35936602>>what's your theory on the voynich manuscript>The art is bad quality and the text is insanely good by comparison. Probably some schizo or schizos worked on it for schizo reasons. That might mean it was a copy of a higher artistic quality original by scribes without artistic talent.
>>35936430I agree, the person was obviously suffering from some Jewish nonsense made up to sell the debt chattel poisonous petrochemicals.
>>35936296It was written to help us get ready for 2012. It's so encrypted that it sometimes takes decades from when the first page is translated until the last page is translated.
>>35936296Middle age trolling and/or Terry Davis level insanity with creative genius"How many of you glowing knight faggots wrote your own manuscript on every magic herb in our kingdom?""Fuckin peasant mother fuckers I AM THE REAL KING"
AI analyzed the text with hopes of translating it. they weren’t able to translate a single word, and couldn’t find a ‘word’ (or group of symbols) that matched anywhere else in the book. i mean seriously, 240+ pages and not a single word repeats? it’s random incoherent gibberish. however, i want to believe that it’s some sort of elaborate code used to hide the true meaning of the book. the intent has been completely lost to time, and we’ll likely never know.
>>35936296I believe it is a obfuscated book on human reproductive biology, which would likely have gotten a "medic" burned at the stake if not heavily disguised.
>>35941799>240+ pages and not a single word repeats? it’s random incoherent gibberish.Don/t think so -- you'd get repeats if it were truly random. If there really are zero repeats, that would take some careful work.
