Culture has become unrealistic. In the same light as "unrealistic beauty standards" in magazines, it's also seen in music and art. Humans use technology to sell media, that is unrealistic to reality, other humans eat it up, and let the false reality affect their mind state... People will be depressed because they can't possibly look like something they could never possibly look like. People interested in pursuing art become defeated at not being able to compete with expensive software, or masterpieces made in seconds by a prompt. No song that reaches top charts is a sincere recording, they are "abominations" combined from multiple recordings and spliced together to become a functioning piece of "perfection" that even the recording artist can't compete with.

We deserve a reset. Whether that's some EMP or solar event or whatever... It's just so tiring living around a humanity that is striving for a reality that is unattainable.

accelerationism be like

With all due respect I think you spend too much time online. You should go outside, go for a walk in the sun, and really think if this is worth being depressed about. Everything is just fine. It's all just a dream. Relax.

I'm not talking about the state of nature or my place in it, I'm speaking about society. The media machine and it's consumers. I work a normal full time job, I pull some overtime occasionally, I go on hikes. Nature is a place of peace for me, what I'm speaking on is society, and it's acceleration. The evolution from the plain looking models of the 20s, to unrealistic covers of today. The evolution from Beethoven to modern song production. We're aspiring beyond natural human accomplishment and it worries me.

"Touch grass" doesn't apply here, fag.

Bro when I go outside it’s fucking empty, all the people are gone

It isn't just something you see online, either. I see it in public. People speaking about desiring a life like some unrealistic show on TV, or wanting a man like some Hollywood actor that gets regular Botox injections in his face and neck.

At some point we left desiring natural human capabilities, and started desiring a reality that we aren't naturally capable of reaching.
>>
It gets tiring and annoying when you aren't like those people, and you feel surrounded by them. The mainstream world seems to be on a prescription of crazy pills, and I don't think it is sustainable.

It makes me wonder if something will step in, alien, deity, nature..

They want to be the exact same but that is madness

The idea that people need a frame of reference to know what they can't have is complete bullshit. Nobody ever wanted to be poor, ugly, oppressed, enslaved, toiling their life away. Nobody ever wanted to live a shitty life. It didn't matter that they didn't have porn, movies, art, video games etc to give them a specific visual representation of what's ideal, everyone knew that that they had wasn't ideal and nobody was ever happy about it. The fact that you think destroying visual representation of what's ideal will make people stop desiring ideal lives makes you completely retarded. Nobody was ever happy with living a shitty life and nobody will ever be happy living a shitty life, removing sources of joy and entertainment will only make people less happy, less satisfied.

What are you talking about? Everything is pure simulacrum now. Yes, discussing pop culture is important because that’s all culture has been for most people for the past 60 years. That doesn’t mean it has to turn into this shitty version of itself, but it’s probably inevitable that it would.
TLDR: touch grass

I’m expecting a rejection of sorts coming, it’s already happened to some extent but with tiktok becoming so pervasive it’s nice to see people realizing the hold it has. Tech has undoubtedly taken over social settings In several ways. Just the fact that you could be recorded at any moment is incredibly lame. It was best when you had your little forums at home and went out with just a dumbphone which is more than enough. Now you need to find that balance because there’s no end to consuming. It’s a losing battle for most because it’s so readily available, 30 minutes here and 20 minutes there which adds up over the course of the week

nah dude. Shit is too fucked to ignore. You can only fill your head with so much peaceful nature before you must return to the human reality. For me, it happens when i take a shit, my wake up call that this material world is a joke, and I'm the butt of it
>>
>>33454393
It IS fucked but it’s entirely your choice to give in. You can only lead the lifestyle you want and attract likeminded people along the way. There’s really no revolution coming, the system is way too big for that. Too many people with too much to lose

I'm capable of managing myself and my wife in the event something major would happen to "reset" society, if we were to love through it. I was trained on how to survive in the wilderness through my youth. I know how to catch or kill, and clean game. I have a large backpack full of survival equipment in my closet in case I ever need it. I'm not some doomsday prepper, but I think it is wise for anyone to build a "bug-out bag". I'd even say I'm somewhat prepared.

Humans are never too far away from being forced back into a hunter-gatherer life.

its almost like everyone forgot about the past, the script writers cleared the stage and plastered on the most retarded bullshit, then convinced everyone that it was real.

My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.
