who would have thought, buying your child a "smart"phone would dumb him down.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbestechcouncil/2020/04/29/technology-is-on-the-rise-while-iq-is-on-the-decline
>Technology Is On The Rise, While IQ Is On The Decline
of course technology isn't on the rise, it's stagnating at best, for us plebs that is.
>Recently, while waiting for a video meeting to begin, I noticed a young child in the background in the office of one of the participants. As children are usually more interesting than the average videoconference, I was curious about what she was doing.
>I was amused when I saw her looking at a magazine cover photo and trying to enlarge it with her thumb and forefinger. Her look was one of perplexity, as she realized the image couldn't be manipulated using the pinch-to-zoom motion, such as when using a smartphone.
>After a few tries, she gave up and walked away, seemingly unconcerned and no longer interested in the photo. This child's actions made me contemplate what is happening to the development of our brains in today's increasingly tech-driven world.
what's happening, they turn into NPCs, incapable of inner speech and inner seeing.
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/pristine-inner-experience/201110/not-everyone-conducts-inner-speech
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aphantasia
>Many people with aphantasia are also unable to recall sounds, smells, or sensations of touch. Some also report prosopagnosia, the inability to recognize faces.
NPCs make the ideal slaves, they plan to get rid of the rest of us, they don't need any of us long-term, automation can get to the point where machines perform maintenance on other machines and develop new machines.

"They live different kinds of lives outside of the city"
My biggest concern is all the people who do not live in our city. Those we lost on the way. Those who decided that it became too much, all this technology. Those who felt obsolete and useless when robots and AI took over big parts of our jobs. Those who got upset with the political system and turned against it. They live different kind of lives outside of the city. Some have formed little self-supplying communities. Others just stayed in the empty and abandoned houses in small 19th century villages.
Once in awhile I get annoyed about the fact that I have no real privacy. No where I can go and not be registered. I know that, somewhere, everything I do, think and dream of is recorded. I just hope that nobody will use it against me.

Cant you just pretend to be npc? Ofcourse assuming that you can’t just go live like a hermit somewhere

Only problem in your shitpost is that Aphantasist aren't always in a dronelike state which you call NPC. I've seen more NPC:s with inner speech and inner seeing than person with aphantasia. Hell, I think people with aphantasia are the ones who take the world as is and try to conserve and better it, not by yelling arbitrary sentiments out that you "thought" but by doing things by hand and learning at the same time. We do not wish for a grandieur but to live our lives close to the nature and without all the hassle people with inner speech and seeing are dealing with.

Aphantasia isn't a sign of being an NPC. Quite the opposite. Nice try tho, robotlord.
>>
>>28156496
This NPC meme needs to stop. It's only another tool of separation from our shared consciousness. You believe you think for yourself yet just as susceptible to influence. The notion that others are less than human is objectively untrue and very much destructive to your being and sense of self.

You know the way but feel you've already walked enough. Walk farther. Its not too late to be different from those who wish to destroy you. Isolation from others is exactly what they want. Spite them and forge relationships with others.
>>
Magazines are obsolete and a child is better served understanding how current media functions than some old shit that should've been outclassed decades ago.

How can this be normal?

The NPC meme is worse than I originally thought. I have noticed friends and relatives becoming NPCs. They are noticeably different - they are dumber and robotic, and they can't go "off-script" - they are literally incapable of thought outside of the rails that they are programmed on to. These same people were once bright, free thinkers.

I don't know how they became NPCs. Maybe it was gradual and I didn't notice immediately. Maybe it was swift. I am terrified that they will get me too someday. My greatest fear is that they are literally replacing people, or controlling their minds somehow.

Are there any others that actually take the NPC phenomenon seriously? Maybe it's best to collaborate to understand just what the fuck is going on.
>>
>>28157713
Quite normal for a child actually. Its like you think maturity is a natural progress and not a result of synchronization with the self.
>>
>>28157705
Is it though? A magazine is an old form of the manipulated world, both physically and intellectually. Just because you can touch it doesn't mean it's more real than a .jpg.

I can recognize faces, I just can't recall them. I remember people when I see them and can associate them to different places and themes in my life.
I can't do an inner monologue so if I want to I need to talk it out loud so it registers as said in my brain. I can recall those inner monologues spoken out very accurately.
I can think, but I can't get imaginary voices running through my head. I can't see vivid landscapes if I close my eyes. Everything is black and you are constantly present. No phasing out, no daydreams, no going back to old memories, just present, now.
I can phase out though if I concentrate on something very hard. Everything around me goes into a kind of blur and I only see the thing I'm focusing on.

Life is good but power games and analyses people play are funny. Everyone thinks they're the best analyzer of them all when in reality, they don't even know who they really are. Everything is built upon misconceptions, hopes and dreams and no-one is in the present, now.
>>
>>28157721
Your an absolute bore when it comes to conversation and people stonewall you.

Be honest. How many times do you try to strike a conversation without a goal in mind?
>>
>>28157721

Its disconnection with consciousness/spirit, but also being a less developed consciousness. Innability to hear the inner voice (this isn't a literal voice, its the true self, what gives you feelings of alignment, and morality and such). Becoming lost in the illusions of the material world. Beyond that, everyone is on their screens almost all of their waking hours. There is so much subliminal psy-op shit literally everywhere. It is impossible to see this unless you decide to move outside of it. It is near impossible to get others to move outside of it.

Its comfy and familiar. Most people just want to be comfy. I can't blame them.

I don't really know what to think of the NPC meme, but does anyone else get kinda sad that this shithole is the only place where you can have some kind of freedom? I'm not talking about calling someone a faggot or being racist, it's just when you read Youtube or social media comments everything feels so fake and watered down, it makes me sad sometimes becasus if I'm being honest I don't like posting here but I'd rather stay here then have my opinon or thoughts censored

People aren't dumb because of smart technology, global society is dumbing down because western civilization is being invaded by low IQ Africans and Muslims that breed like rabbits and bring the average down.
>>
>>28157728
Lol I was a child too anon.
The worst shit I ever did when I was 4-5 was to dump my water back inside the our water cooler (the water I was drinking from) since I thought we ran out of water or some shit.
I basically remember my life from age 3 and learned how to read by circling a, b ,c , d, e etc on random newspapers until I got used to the symbols.
Either I was a high iq child (lol unlikely) or current kids are dumb fucks.
>>

>>

Well anon, the people who go out there saying “refugees wlecome” or “Islam is peace” or that blm won’t EVER spread covid (but other gatherings do), those are the people who born and raised in your own nation.
What about those?
Who dumb them down, beside tech, media and our (((school system)))
>>
>>28156496
Ah fuck, another post about NPCs?
Dude, this is more annoying than NPCs
>>
>>28157817

You have to have a will to be an individual. Which is generally challenging because being an outsider isn't a comfortable state. Everyone wants some degree of social validation deep down.
>>
>>28157790
I wouldn't call any extremely popular and publicly accessible site like this a beacon of free thought and expression. Having close to nothing to prove it, I'd say we're inundated with psyops here all the time. I've seen all types of tactics get used to reign in certain ideas or broadcast certain ideas.
>>
>>28157817
Anon npc is not a new phenomenon though.
Just look at Muslims.
99% of Muslims never even read their own Quran, but they unironcially think it’s a religion of peace.
Their women, can be leashed for not wearing hijab and considered to be half brained, don’t have any choice to move outside without a male etc (under shariah law) and yet they defend their religion as a “feminist and equality religion”
I read the Quran before and ironically it talked about npc is some of the versus.
As in “prophet asked them why do you worship these idols and do these rituals? They would answer “we don’t know, we are just following what our ancestors and forefathers told us to do”
It’s funny how the book that talks about npc, created a whole new line of npcs
I think people never change.
>>
I reckon aphantasia is linked to the porn epidemic, people have to watch porn to fap since they can't imagine something and so they're baited to get into tranny/cuck shit. Imagination is obviously healthier since it's your natural desires and you're imagining YOU doing something instead of watching others doing it.
>>
>>28157760

>Your an absolute bore when it comes to conversation and people stonewall you.
Most people are boring when it comes to conversation. They have little to talk about.
In particular, my NPC friends enjoy discussing Star Wars, covid-19, and the royal family. These are really dull topics and their conversations feel scripted and repetitive, so predictable that they are completely pointless, as everyone knows what the next person will say before they have begun to speak. It really does feel like I'm watching NPCs converse sometimes.

I don't think I'm especially interesting to talk with, but compared to the brain-dead NPCs I'm full of unique dialog.

>Be honest. How many times do you try to strike a conversation without a goal in mind?
Never. Why would anyone do that?
>>
>>28157856
I know that NPCs have always existed. Muslims can say these things because they have not thought about the meaning, they are just repeating something. This happens in all cultures. Most people do not think, and they are actually incapable of thought. They can only repeat things that they have been taught.

I am more concerned about fully functioning PCs becoming NPCs. I think that this is a new phenomena, and I'm worried that it will happen to me too.
>>
>>28157864
I never been interested in celebrities.
Not me, not my mother father or brother.
I dont get it.
How do you care about celebrities who makes millions of $$$?
Why do you care about royal family who has stores of gold that you can’t even fathom?
Why idolize athletes and cry about their death (Bryan for example) when they don’t even give a fuck about you??
I genuinely don’t get this “idol worshipping” trend
>>
>>28157597
2016 was another turning point but people haven’t noticed yet

2020 also of course
>>
>>28157899
Lol I don’t think so.
Don’t worry man, non of us will change.
And if others change, well, just take advantage of them.
I learned that taking about “celebrities” is a sure way to manipulate them slowly.
>>
>>28157832
This is half of the truth. Synchronization between thought and action is key. Identity comes with experience. Recognize the flaws you have and accept they are just as a part of you as your virtues. You are what you do most of the time.

Live life in spite of your flaws and never forget your choices DO matter. Always.
>>
>>28157901
Look up parasocial relationships.

Tl:dr people Arthur Fleck relationships with their idols as a replacement for a real relationship with someone they can actually talk to.
>>
>>28157899
>Muslims can say these things because they have not thought about the meaning
No anon. You are wrong here.
Muslims had many philosophers, but their downfall begin after mongol invasion, burning of cities, burning their books, killing their scientists, poets, philosophers etc (ironically western self hating npcs think white people with crusades were responsible for this kek)
So all I can think is that some sort of big even caused it.
A shift.
Maybe covid is that shift for us.
>>
>>28157901
Idol worship and celebrity culture is not a new phenomenon. It's just normie culture.
Why care about multimillionaire celebs? They are millionaires because people care about them.
The same applies to e-celebs, e-girls, etc. There is no reason to care about any of these people, but normies do for some reason anyway.

It doesn't work the other way. Most millionaires are completely stealth-mode.

The royals don't interest me at all. My parents sometimes say that since they are paid millions by taxpayers, they should act to a certain standard. The thing is, it's only a few million, out of hundreds of billions that are spent on things that they can't comprehend. They don't know how the budget works, they don't understand inflation or national debt etc. Those topics are off-limits. They have no desire to learn, but even more so, they have a genuine aversion. The royals are an approved topic, because they are completely inconsequential.
>>
>>28157425
Ever see "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers"?
You eventually just get absorbed too by adaptation.
>>
>>28157929
I mean people supposedly have parents, siblings and friends.
Hell in comparison to npc I know, I am “lonely”
How the fuck I still don’t give a fuck about npc.
One more thing, I don’t get why people use Twitter or Facebook.
See I sometimes write books and sell them online. So I made Twitter and Facebook accounts to make a fake persona to promote them.
That’s it.
I don’t get why people use them to interact with each other, what’s the point?
>inbf 4chan is the same
4chan is anonymous, and no one check on my history, block me, silence me, or deplatform me, so basically no one can force me to change my opinion to stay in.
So why the hell people WILLINGLY stay in an environment that wants to control and manipulate them like this??
>>
>>28157913
Manipulate them into what? I don't see what NPCs are useful for to an individual. I understand their utility as wagies and propoganda outlets, but I don't know what I could do with one.
>>
>>28157948
I used to work in a dominos.
Every 6 months or so, they would increase their prices slightly. People would notice, for example one free sauce became 75 cents.
Peppers and cheese too.
People would moan about this increase.
My answer? “Dude just don’t buy the sauce, eat your pizza without it, or just go to Walmart and buy a whole package for 2$.”
What would they do? Still FUCKING BUY THEM! (While complaining)
Stores still increased the prices.
I heard recently that they raised the prices more so, without paying workers more.
And customers still pay.
Npc will never learn
>>
>>28157968
>oh look xyz celebrity doing such and such and wearing such and such
>why don’t you steal their style? Here is my store
Or
>oh look at that xyz celeb, you see that stone she wears? It’s have blah blah blah esoteric magical thing
>do you what to buy some from me?
I usually use it to punish excessive consumers
I would tell them that yolo and you need to enjoy your life buy buying expensive stuff and live large (even though to me, nothing is more pathetic than caring about the brand of your shirt or shoes)
>>
>>28157956
They want to feel like they fit in, and they are willing to change themselves to feel that way.
Its a kind of tribal mentality. They want to be in a big tribe.
They like to post selfies and dancing videos (dancing is the ultimate NPC signal) and get feedback and engagement.
They don't post their garbage regurgitated opinions to educate anyone else or to improve the world. They just want likes, retweets, etc.

That's why they love to use real identities. They want people to accept them, not some internet persona. Reddit is weird in this regard, but it's moving towards real identities too.

See I ABSOLUTELY don’t get the “likes” system.
I get it if it’s for money (like only fans or sometimes Instagram) but for attention?? Who the fuck cares?
That’s why I don’t have an actual Facebook or Twitter account under my name.
I made ONE Reddit account to sell my books and promote people to buy ogi and. Sndl stocks (write before it mooned)
I don’t get why people willingly do this ONLY for attention
