If I wanted to set up a booru for a medium sized community, what would be the best way to go about it? Assume I have no knowledge whatsoever. What would be the steps to create it, and then host it? The most I can find it github guides, which is fine, but i’d like a more top to bottom explanation. Thank you.

The question is both way too open-ended and also suggests you haven't even done the groundwork internet searching to get some notions about boruu software or hosting options. Do that stuff then you should have a narrower set of questions that'll probably get more answers.
