it depends who's leaving
if you do a breakdown of the traffic by board, I bet you'll find that the big cancerous boards like /v/ and /pol/ are the ones being affected by this.
It also makes sense that there's less traffic now that covid is officially over.

The more popular this place gets, the more likely it will be shut down. I think half the current level of popularity would be safer.
