There is a website, where you enter a topic and talk to users who also entered that topic.
The problem is, there is no list of topics people are using.

So, what are some popular things people are also likely to discuss/enter as tags?

You would think it's as simple as getting a big list of the most popular things, say steam games and going through them.
But, say you enter DOTA, literally nobody.
Then you enter Danganronpa, 200+ people.

Same with artists, anime, youtube channels, or literally anything.
There just happen to be some with "fandoms", but as far as I know there is no way to list them all.

Another problem is, some of them have abbreviations.
Like MHA (My Hero Academia), popular but I wouldn't know people use it if I didn't test every 3 letter combination.

What do you think, /wsr/?

I've already tried the list from https://everynoise.com/ and a few different "most popular" artists lists.
I'm not really sure how to list things from pop culture.

You would think those example would be popular topics, but only pokemon is really active of those.

Mecha anime like the ones on this chart

that site is shit, even if you enter some actual topics and interests it'll match you with like 30 bots and horny retards before an actual conversation. the most success ive had is with the "mbti" tag. but even on that there is still a lot of horny fuckers.
>>
>>1092088
None of the tags I regularly use have bots or horny idiots, and video chat has close to zero bots.

take the kpop pill and search for BTS. Or BnHA. If you want a global overview of popular articles on the internet, popurls.com - more Gen X & Y, not the elder Zoomies, tween zoomies and the Alpha gen.

Looking at the twitter trending topics can also help. There's this website I found when googling - https://trends24.in/

Why do people do this is so backwards and retarded. What are you even proveing seting in your chairing thinking you know something someone doesn't. Is this even gatekeeping?? It's more like an autistic kid sperging out about his favorite video game but not telling you the name if it because your not special enough to understand. Grow up

One of those isn't me and the icon is sauce.
In your example, it's like someone posting the DOTA icon and the other guy getting upset because they don't know what it is.

Allegedly it's easy to talk to pedos on omegle. They use tags like "map" or "older men" though I'm not sure if these are banned now
As for why you would want to, I don't know. My friend would larp as a little girl to bait and catfish them and I guess he thought it was fun to fuck with them though I don't really get the appeal. One day someone sent him a hoard of cp though and that really upset him (yes he reported it), not sure if he has done it since.
>>
>>1090993
As this is a thinly-veiled Omegle thread, what I can tell you about that site is that there's nothing there for you unless you're a roleplaying degenerate. If you're looking for people to talk to about a given topic, consider finding a Discord server centered around that topic.

>>1104903
The admin goes through the site every once in a while and bans problematic keywords, but it's like playing whack-a-mole because pedos just come up with other terms for their shit.
>>
>>1105207
Simply wrong, and discord is a horrible suggestion considering the kind of freedom and one-on-one chat the other web site provides. They are nothing alike.
Not the purpose of this thread anyway.
>>
>>1090993
Sounds like you're talking about Omegle, if you're in the 18-25 range try college, university, and so on. Try to keep it very abstract and general if it's an interest, like music, movies, anime, RPGs. I'll level with you though, it's mostly just for political trolling and youtubers nowadays. The best usage I've seen people get out of it is learning a new language and then throwing a VPN on to practise, people love to see someone interested in their country.

Your mistake is assuming that Omegle reflects what's normally popular in the real world.
What you're doing is like trying to interact with /mu/ by discussing Taylor Swift or Bad Bunny. Just because those artists are popular among regular well adjusted individuals, /mu/ doesn't reflect that and you'll have more luck talking about whatever shitty meme artist they're jerking off to this month.
Same shit with Omegle or any web community, you just have to imagine what topic could interest the users of the particular shithole you're trying to enter.
