>>3909846they are being retarded is all
>>3904512>>3909703>>3909846>>3926634Hah, I know what's going on here. That anon probably had a bootleg megaman/rockman game. They were common in the nes/famicom era. They'd literally just take a random game (usually disney games) and plaster a megaman title screen and change the main character's sprites for megaman. Why was this a thing? No fucking idea. I myself had a couple of them, including a cheap Darkwing Duck ripoff. It was hilarious and made no sense.

>>3910153His SEGA equivalent was a guy called Matt Furniss. He was basically the only man in the west who could get the most out of the Master System soundchip. He did some of his best work with licensed film tie-in games. Notably Aliens, but also the Flash and he adapted the NES soundtrack for Star Wars to the Master System, and found the time to add a tune that wasn't originally in it (a pretty decent chiptune rendition of Han Solo's theme).
>>3904052filenamed ruined it and put an ugly layer on my enjoyment of it
Hopefully this counts
>>3924819Holy shit that brings back memories.I used to spend hours clicking through the random flashes on zomg zufall.I wonder if this flash originated somewhere else before it was there.

>>3939152The AY chip in the Master System was the same used in a lot of microcomputers, so European composers had plenty of practice.

>>3905089this and MK2's title screen themes were pure kinographie
>>3939152Matt Furniss was the absolute god of Genesis soundtracks. Alien 3, The Terminator, T2: The Arcade Game and so many others just oozed out kino from the Genesis chip. I might be wrong here but IIRC he also worked in Mortal Kombat II for the Genesis and it's no surprise it's the best MK OST on the system
>>3940116Palmtree Panic Past and Metallic Madness Past are the absolute best in that OST. I believe some Sonic autismos have found out a prototype build of SCD when Sega was still planning to churn out actual redbook audio for all Past tracks as well, and it has a complete rendition of Palmtree Panic Past, it's fucking glorious
>>3982472Holy fucking shit where is this from?

Not sure if this counts as chip tune. A demo straight from a 1541 Floppy without any intermediate C64. The whole thing is driven just by the CPU inside the floppy drive and the audio is done via the the stepper motor and drive mechanic. Even the graphics are powered just by the CPU inside the drive.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zprSxCMlECA
