All of the races in the first season were close, with a visual focus on the runners rather than the rest of the scene. Because of that, it didn't matter how poorly drawn or animated the other elements of the scenes were because it wasn't relevant. So far with this new season, it feels like it's trying to accomplish too much with every shot, and thanks to the low budget, that means even more GG. There's still some glimmers of the first season in here, but I think changing studios was a bit of a misstep.
