Wanted to make this thread for a while, kinda sad there isn't more art of shaman king floating around, despite all it's faults it's still an underrated series.

The action is lackluster, the characters are bland, the humor is hit or miss, it has pseudo depth, pseudo character development, and it’s pseudo spiritual (and super disrespectful towards some cultures). It’s a bit above mediocre in a saturated environment that has much better stuff to offer. Not even the Netflix revival could bring it over the edge.
>>2227943Not really, there's a lot that goes unsaid and the author could've been more clear about many things, the characters are also all very unique, it's a series that pretended to be a shounen because of the editor but neither the story nor the characters are typical of the shounen archetypes, except those that were made specifically to please the editor.
