Post your vector requests and recently done vectors here.Previous Thread >>2198850READ THE OP BEFORE POSTING!>Before requesting, here are some tips:– Only request an image once per thread. Bumping your own request won't help either.– All requests are welcome, within reason, but remember:– The poorer the quality of an image (in resolution and drawing ability), the less likely it will be picked up. The more detail seen and higher the resolution, the better.– Full-body images preferred. Images cut off on 3 or more sides are very unlikely to be picked up due to their limited usage; keep this in mind when finding an image to request. (Hair or skirt edges that are barely cut off don't usually count)– Requests for removing the background from an image (called a RENDER) and resizing requests should go to the IMT threads.– Refrain from using renders for requests. Try to find the original non-rendered image; it is easier for vectorists to work with.– Note: Overly complicated images are unlikely to be picked up due to their nature. IF your request is taken, please have patience.>You can check these places before requesting:http://double-you-vectors.deviantart.com/https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_VmbVyD4eT3N1VUbGN4Wjd5OVEhttp://iqdb.org/http://yande.re/post/index?tags=vector_tracehttp://konachan.com/post/index?tags=vectorhttp://danbooru.donmai.us/post?tags=vector_tracehttp://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=list&tags=vector*http://browse.minitokyo.net/gallery?tid=9&index=2http://browse.deviantart.com/manga/digital/vector/?order=5>Anime vectoring tutorials:—online viewable guide (Inkscape): http://sites.google.com/site/jjaaba/main—downloadable guide (Inkscape): http://www.mediafire.com/?xhj5d254zhui0tr—daul's Vector basics tutorial (Illustrator): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3g0cRvqYRVE—Dekodere's Anime vector tracing tutorial (Illustrator): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFn0yr_wkEQ>Thread archivehttps://pastebin.com/sCZVSJYQ

>>2224728Didn't want to do it from scratch, so this is an autotrace that I cleaned, trimmed, and aligned to the manga panel by hand. Looks dead-on to me, at least.Let me know if something looks funky or if you want the grays darkened etc.
>>2224897Hey! Had almost given up on it. Thank you so much!
>>2224978No problem, anon. Enjoy!
>>2224914Do you want it minimalist or with line art? I feel like it works really well with the minimal style.

>>2225157Can do. Do you want me to try and finish her hair or crop where the image ends?
Had some time this weekend so I started working on this. I'm going to try to do a version with the stylized coloring of the original, and then attempt to do a version with more normal coloring.Source for reference: https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/94920349
Can someone please help put a nice fade or border to size this up so this can be used as a phone wallpaper?
>>2225284Wrong thread for this kind of stuff but I'll do this sometime and post it in >>2225262

>>2225413Awesome, glad you like it! It was a pleasure.
Took a crack at a semi-minimal rendition of this screenshot.
Vector this please
>>2225283Tentative coloring of this. I have never been as frustrated as trying to get the polka dot masks and halftone gradients right, and even then I'm not fully satisfied. But it's close enough and I never want to look at circles again.

>>2225438I forgot to say it but please Vector this if possible
>>2225459the halftone is fucking amazing, damndid you do some patterns tool fuckery or just manual adjustment for each circle-lines?
Hi. Can someone please vector the girl in this picture? Transparent background is ideal.Thank you so much.
>>2225504Thanks! I had never heard of halftone before this, so I originally thought I would do the patterns using Illustrator's blend tool to make evenly distributed copies of the circles (which is what I did for the shadows on the shirt and overalls since they were just equidistant circles of the same size). But then I noticed the patterns on the hair followed a radial gradient-like path, so I googled "polka dot gradient effect" which eventually got me to halftone. Illustrator has a halftone effect you can apply to gradients, but it's technically a Photoshop effect which means the gradient became a rasterized object, defeating the purpose of this being a vector. I used the Image Trace tool to let Illustrator auto-trace that rasterized halftone into vector objects, but it's not perfect so I ended up with imperfect circles and blobs for circles that were too close together. When I was about ready to give up, I found a video of some guy using a downloadable Illustrator script that would take a single object and replace all objects in a group with that object. So I was able to just draw a perfect circle and use the script to replace all the imperfect circles in the group. That's how I ended up with what you see. Once I was able to do this for the gradient at the top of her head, the rest of them went smoother. In short, if I had to manually do all of the patterns, I would have quit. Thanks for asking and thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
>>2225507You can do this with tiled clones in Inkscape pretty easily, although lining them up is always tedious. The trick for radials is to scale X and Y by the correct (very small, negative) number and tick cumulate when generating. Straight halftones (on the right) just need a larger negative number and you can tweak with the exponent, no cumulation required. You can just use union to make the whole thing one path then export to svg to get it into illustrator.
>>2225544I'm not very familiar with Inkscape since I've always used Illustrator, but I just looked up a couple videos on the tiled clones tool, and it looks very powerful and would have made my life infinitely easier. Thanks for the info. Should I have a hankering for doing another vector like this, I'll try that out.
>>2225552In my experience inkscape is a lot like blender - much clunkier than proprietary shitware, but infinitely more capable due to more cleverly programmed and customizable toolsets. If I were just using the pen tool and nothing else, though, I would never step outside of illustrator. For literally anything else I'm just more comfortable with inkscape and a whole lot faster too despite the niggles, so I use it.
>>2225507ah, auto-tracing a raster effect seems like a neat trickthanks>>2225544now this is black magici need to explore inkscape more esoteric toolset one of these days
>>2225558Tiled clones and the auto-trace bitmap have saved my bacon a tremendous number of times by now. Can't imagine going without them for certain tasks.
Re-requesting vector of the woman in the card.

how long does it take to get good at this?I want to design an itasha for my future car, but maybe it's easier just paying someone to vectorize something for me
>>2227378If you're just arranging premade illustrations, it's not terribly hard and Inkscape is good enough for typesetting and creating background patterns, you'll just need a basic understanding of graphic design or a good sense of aesthetics. If by design you mean take a highly complex illustration and vectorize it so that you can scale it up to car-size, it could take a while.

>>2227798it's a shame the anime sucked, the art was great>>2226658>>2227167Just as an FYI, a vector of anything painted in the soft digital or watercolor style will lose a ton of detail that makes the art feel realistic. The second one could be done with a lot of gradients and meshes, but a vector of the first would never really capture the tonality that makes her physique, blush, hair etc so appealing.

Can someone please vector this one on a transparent background?Thank you very much.
Hello. Can someone please vector this character sheet of Ridget from Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet in a higher resolution? (The image resolution is too small to upload directly, so here's a Catbox link to it. I swear it's Safe For Work.)https://files.catbox.moe/jz5tm1.jpeg- Please vector all the views of the body (front, side, back), try to get rid of the website stuff that's on the lower lefthand corner and see if you can keep the kanji (the Japanese text in black). If you can keep the white background, that'd be good, too.- The original size is 452x640, so please try making the vector either 904x1280 or 1356x1920, whichever is considered "high resolution". Please and thanks in advance!
>>2228730i'd most certainly be labeled the office's creep if someone ever saw me looking at/working on this pic anon... it's definitely not safe for work
>>2228867Ah. In retrospect, I guess I meant it more like it's safe in the sense that it's legitimate official art for an anime series and not fan art, but yeah, when you put it like that, it is considerably risqué. Sorry about that, but I still would like a high-res vector of it if it's possible (if it isn't, then please point me to where I can have my request fulfilled). It just bugs me to no end that I can't find this pic in a resolution that's higher than 452x640. Like, I can't even find an art book or something that has it in a nicer quality.
>>2228871I used to take a bunch of requests from this thread and, from my point of view, that picture is a bit of a tough sell for anyone to pick up and vector. The pose and details aren't particularly interesting to work on and the resolution being this small makes it tough to see any of the finer details like her eyes and sandals. Unless someone else has a strong attachment to the character or series, chances of a vector are slim.If this picture matters enough to you then an alternative would be to find and commission a vector artist for some cash. Money can be a good motivator for this stuff. As for where to find said person, we had a group on deviant art with most people being active on that platform. Seeing how slow this thread has become, I'm not sure that many artists still check their own profile. There seems to be a discord group but I've not been on there so I have no info about it.Unrelated but here's something I'm working on.
>>2228730Are you sure you want a vector? What will the final image be used for? If you really only need it to be 1920px high, I think just rendering, detexting, and a bit of painting to sharpen up details would do the trick.
>>2228911The final image will be used for appreciation of the artwork for the source anime, since it seems pretty under-appreciated for a mecha series, at least as far as I can tell. I went to this thread because I thought someone here would be able to give it a real high-res treatment, but you think I'll be able to take my request to the current image modification thread no problem?
>>2228937You mean like making a creepy altar or a dakimakura? Lol. Anon, I know you may read this a lot. But go outside, touch grass, experience the real world and it’s breathtaking beauty. Immerse yourself in the mysteries of complexities, and bask in the glow of overwhelming simplicity. Someone may vector your pic, someone may pick it up on the IMT… if it does enjoy it, if it doesn’t just move on. You can be better, you just have to start.
>>2228945bro you're on 4chan telling somebody to touch grassi just want that to sink in
>>2228945Perhaps I should've elaborated that it wouldn't be for creepy altars or dakimakuras or other gross forms of appreciation that I don't even think about it, but in retrospect, I really should've just put that on the text. Really sorry about that. But that being said, maybe you have a point and I'm kinda putting too much stock in this one image. At the very least, I should lay off these lewd requests for a while. Thanks for the reality check. >>2228948Now now, they meant well. And unlike most other folks in 4chan, I actually am sensible enough to go outside and indeed touch grass. (And I do mean the grass that one finds at a local park, not the kind of grass that's also a term for a certain drug.)
>>2228950shoulda just say that you'd gonna add it to a compilations wallpaper or somethingboom, easy normal sfw reason>>2228875the chain and the tail seems like a pain to do, good job on thatdid you use some patterning shenanigans for the chain or did you do it by hand?
>>2228952The chain was done manually with just the pentool and masks. The tail wasn't anything special, the frills on her dress were a much bigger pain.
>>2228730>>2228950I'm not sure why everyone got their panties in such a twist, art restoration is a really common request in the IMT threads. How's this?https://files.catbox.moe/lng7by.png
>>2228982Well this isn't an IMT thread, this is a "spend 40 hours redrawing this with the pen tool" thread.
>>2228995I know, but usually requesters just get pointed in the right direction instead of getting interrogated about what they want the pic for
>>2228982You know what? This is actually pretty good. Thanks for the help!
>>2229013You're welcome! Glad you like it.
