Something a little different
>>2197537I remember a thread or two for this quite some time ago: https://archive.nyafuu.org/w/thread/2049633Good stuff.
>>2200356That thread was beautiful.
>>2197537reminder that a lot of stuff from >>2200356 came from myfigurecollection, which is the source of the next several that I'll post.
>>2200419To find stuff on that site you can scroll down to pictures and click view more. From there you can adjust your search parameter. Alternatively, you can find a specific figure you like and look at its page. Their should be a gallery with images specifically using that figure.Happy hunting.
A few more I liked from the last thread...
It tried upscaling >>2200446 but lost some color. I'm not really skilled enough in photoshop to know how to fix it.
End of dump
>>2200449thank the heavens!
>>2200449Don't even like Nero but this is an excellent shot.
Figure photography is very underrated. I appreciate the creativity on some of the miniature sets people make for it.

>>2210771Get a macro objective and a good camera
>>2210771Look into camera focus and depth of field. This should get you started: https://youtu.be/qfkvw-Lrn7Q?t=16
I've got some that I cropped from larger images.
>>2211809Same original image.
>>2211811
>>2211812Printed out a version of this one on canvas for the wall.
Anyone here actually do figure photography themselves? Mine never manage to come out as crisp and colorful as many of these pics are. I guess focus stacking with a good macro lens is what's needed to really add that extra sharpness?
>>2211846I do some ordinary shots. Nothing special. If I want to have more of that in focus I just close aperture down to F8
>>2211870this is F6.5

>>2211846Lighting and stability are most important.>>2211809>>2211810>>2211811>>2211812Were all taken at an event, so no more than a few seconds to fiddle with settings. Most are in portrait orientation and/or nsfw, which don't really fit well with this board's theme.>>2211813Was in the dining room with a tripod and dozens of attempts.
Posting some OC that just took yesterda
>>2212085>>2213259Do you guys brush dust off your figures before taking them? how do you deal with "imperfections" on the figure?
>>2216116>how do you deal with "imperfections"buy from quality manufacturers
>>2216250Fuck. I took this not too long ago(shit lighting and all, I know). I got her for about $16 since I thought she was prettyWhat manufacturer is your go to? GoodSmile?https://files.catbox.moe/zfrf50.png
>>2216295AmakuniFlarealpha x omega (Alder + MegaHouse, they rarely made anything)Good Smile (but only if it's actual manufacturer and not just distributor)Max Factory Native (have been better in the past)Orchid Seed (I hate this company, they need 10 or more years from announcement to release)
>>2216307and Alter of courseand sometimes Alphamax
>>2216295you need to soak this fig in distilled water with little mild detergent and clean it with very soft brush
>>2216307Thank you!>>2216309Would hand soap work the same?
>>2216340hand soap tend to have some conditioners for skin this is not good for figures
>>2216116Of course,My macro lens can see more dust than my naked eye.But >>2212085 and pic related aren't mine to touch.
>>2216116Before I made this >>2213259 I cleaned the figure, however your lens will capture some dust that your eyes cannot see. Those are removed with a spot healing brush in post.
A photo I took today
>>2200421This is a really fun idea, but that warrior figure on the ground is out of place. Plus, I have NO idea who that center piece is.
>>2197623eyes are out of focus
Simple but nice
Not sure if it's good enough for here, I was inspired to borrow a real camera by this thread though.

>>2228054Are those actual Nixie tubes or is it shopped?
From the last session at home
>>2236310This one's super cute
I love this thread. This concept is really cool.
First time doing Figure Photographyr8/h8
>>2243064Dis is pretty nice, I love the atmosphere and color temperature. I'm always amazed by what people are able to do with some setup, and even more amazed at some of the full fledged dioramas, a lot of work goes into this.I don't have much nor anything impressive, but I should maybe post a photo or two I did a few years ago, once I stop being too lazy to plug the hard drive.
>>2243064Cute!
I like these, the beauty of real life mixed with the attention to detail and faithful toy recreation of 2D characters,

Happy (late) Birthday to Kurumi
My OC. Took it a few months back around sunset when the sun was shining through my window just right on my Asuna figure. Thought she looked mighty pretty at that moment. :)
>>2210772>macro objectiveQue>>2210771Macro lens with good lighting
>>2243064I also shot a night version but never got around editing it until now
