Post your vector requests and recently done vectors here.Previous Thread >>2167969READ THE OP BEFORE POSTING!>Before requesting, here are some tips:– Request an image ONCE per thread. Do not bump or second - once is enough.– Check the lists below to see if your request has already been previously fulfilled.– All requests are welcome, within reason, but remember:– The poorer the quality of an image (in resolution and drawing ability), the less likely it will be picked up. The more detail seen and higher the resolution, the better.– Full-body images preferred. Images cut off on 3 or more sides are very unlikely to be picked up due to their limited usage; keep this in mind when finding an image to request. (Hair or skirt edges that are barely cut off don't usually count)– Requests for removing the background from an image (called a RENDER) and resizing requests should go to the IMT threads.– Refrain from using renders for requests. Try to find the original non-rendered image; it is easier for vectorists to work with.– Note: Overly complicated images are unlikely to be picked up due to their nature. IF your request is taken, please have patience.>Check these places before requesting:http://double-you-vectors.deviantart.com/https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_VmbVyD4eT3N1VUbGN4Wjd5OVEhttp://iqdb.org/http://yande.re/post/index?tags=vector_tracehttp://konachan.com/post/index?tags=vectorhttp://danbooru.donmai.us/post?tags=vector_tracehttp://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=list&tags=vector*http://browse.minitokyo.net/gallery?tid=9&index=2http://browse.deviantart.com/manga/digital/vector/?order=5>Anime vectoring tutorials:—online viewable guide (Inkscape): http://sites.google.com/site/jjaaba/main—downloadable guide (Inkscape): http://www.mediafire.com/?xhj5d254zhui0tr—Illustrator video tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3g0cRvqYRVE>Thread archivehttps://pastebin.com/sCZVSJYQ

Hello, so I was wondering if anyone could make a vector of Machiko Iwabuchi from Rinne no Lagrange. While it's really great, I was wondering if someone could make a vector that smoothens the image to make look less like pixel art and more like character art you'd find in an artbook for Rinne no Lagrange. Please and thanks in advance.
Please, I really would love to have this image done, preferably without the watermark.
Greetings. I would like to request a fresh, colored vector of Eiko Aizawa from Squid Girl in her swimsuit using the attached character sheet as a basis. Specifics: * I'd like for the vector to show her front, side, and back, as per the character sheet.* There aren't a lot of clear shots of her in a swimsuit in the anime and I can't find any color design sheets online, so see if you can use this screenshot from the anime as a reference for coloring her skin, swimsuit, hair, and eyes: (https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/shinryakuikamusume/images/f/fb/Eiko_swimsuit.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20170103191250)* Finally, please retain the original image's resolution of 3507x2480. * No background is necessary.Take all the time you need. Please and thank you in advance.

My first vector ever.
>>2183492very well done especially on a firsty, personally i would make the shadow and white highlight on the eye pupil slightly blurry to make it softer, just some personal touches i like doing.
>>2183493thanks, man. When I make another vector I'll try these tips that you gave me :)
I've been working on a short gmesh tutorial. Figured it might help some people out since gradient meshes can be a bit daunting at first. Not sure if this is enough or if I should've went through some more diverse examples.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8J4Ll3jP4g0I might as well post the small progress I've made on this request too.
guys, how do I get her eyes a little blur without get it pixelized? I'm making it on Illustrator.
>>2183537I wouldn't recommend using blurred shapes for something that could be handled with basic gradients or even gmesh. If you do insist on using blurs, you can fix this issue by going to Effect > Document Raster Effects Settings and then up the Resolution.
>>2183539thanks, man! I'll try it using the gmesh.
Now it's finished (I think).
Can you vectorize her? please?
Requesting Katou.Surprisingly, I couldn't find any Saekano vectors, or I am not looking in the right places.
>>2183502>>2183037Keep up the good work my dude
my second render ever. Any tips about coloring? I think that is the most dificult part for me.
I'm almost finished with the line art for the Shinobu vector that was requested in the last thread. But with this image, there are a number of areas where the color seems to kind of merge in with the line art, and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to do these parts. Pic related is an example. The color is dark, but it's not black, so I'm not entirely sure how I'm supposed to merge the line art with the color smoothly. Any tips would be nice.
>>2183794>Any tips about coloring? If the original image you are tracing from doesn't have very good colors, try finding a different ref to colorpick from. You could also mess with the color wheel and trial and error it but that can be pretty tough. Going for a reference that has very basic lighting would be the best, anything where she's in broad day light and not a sunset/night setting and stuff like that.I'd also like to bring your attention to a few issues I spotted. There's a shape going around the whole top of her head that has some tiny fracture line going around it. It looks like some white aliasing where 2 shapes meet. Usually this is cause by 2 shapes' borders sitting perfectly on top of each other after using the pathfinder or shape builder tool. To fix this you can pick the shape that's under the other one, layer wise, and pull the nodes to slide it under the other one. There is also a glaring issue with her left wrist. I don't know what the reference was like for the lineart there but something went wrong with the way her arm is bending over her breast. That being said, I think your lineart looks pretty good for being a beginner and I really like how you've handled the eyes. Just be careful to not use blurs too much, it can be a very slippery slope. Like above, unless that's really the aesthetic you're going for, I'd recommend looking into basic gradients and gradient meshes.
>>2183794OH GOD HER WRIST..... For coloring IMO, I would say to ditch the feathered edges on all the shadows... For a simple vector like that sharp and solid edges would look better. You can use gradients on the shadows to fade them a bit, but the soft edges look out of place. This also applies to the pupilsThe inner cheeks within the mouth should be a darker shade of red to give some contrast. Now for the Lineart: Eliminate the tapered tips on the lines of the joints of fingers in a V shape. They thin out too much and are noticeable. Those kind of tips work best when the fingers are closed as they usually are used to show the pinched parts of the skin. The thumb looks fucked up too.The hair needs more consistent lines. You have some lines way too thick towards the tapered point, and others that get too thin when they intersect with others... Refer to my image to show how I would have done some of those parts.Another error most people make when vectoring is not following the natural flow of the lines. Remember, that as a vector artist, one can make any and all needed changes to the original art in order to improve it. This includes extending lines, bending them more or less, or even redrawing something so that it looks a bit more natural. It might just be me but you might need to fix your export settings. Assuming you are using Illustrator, it seems your antialiasing is disabled or you have it set to "Supersampling (Art Optimized)". You want to use "Type Optimized (Hinted)" for your antialiasing and have Interlacing off.
>>2183849>>2183851LOL, funny thing it's her wrist on the original draw is something like that. Anyway guys, thanks a lot for the patience and the guidance!
Kiss Shot from Kizumonogatari
Hey guys, i'm redoing it after the feedback. What do you think?
>>2183890Looking pretty good. I circled a few things in case you missed them. Some are mistakes and some are simple improvements I think would look a bit better. Most of the red circles are lines that aren't connected properly to another. There are also some that connect by a tapered line which I wouldn't recommend in these cases. For some of the stuff in green, the tips to her bow could be rounded a bit since it's cloth. Another thing would be her nail, I feel that giving them a bit of relief to show where they extend over the fingers is a nice touch usually. And lastly her middle finger should appear farther/ behind where it connects with her ring finger.Keep up the good work.
>>2183938thanks, man.Damn, that nail thing is pretty hard if you ask me. This is the best I can do without redoing all the hand again, which I really don't wanna do :(
Officially hating nails :(I have no idea of how to do the thumbnail and I'm not really liking the rest of the nails. It's really hard to do, man.
Genuinely happy with this. Thanks for all the help and sorry for not following all the tips. Promise I'll follow them in the next vector that I'll do.
This is way harder than I thought it would be, I checked the stickied tutorials and thought 'cool it's just tracing anime girls and I can fulfill requests for people' and it's been kicking my ass all morning
>>2183833Anyone? Could do with some advice.
I would do it in all black with tapered ends but not 100 % sure what you are asking.
>>2183502Video turned out great Deko!Glad to see it and it should probably be added to the next OP
>>2183833>>2184035Realistically, you can simply merge the lineart with the shading, pretty much how it already is. Otherwise, you'd have to separate all the elements and do a bunch of guess work and figure out where things like the folds of her dress is combined with the base color and shading of her dress should be. For the sake of your sanity I'd keep it simple.
>>2184040Thanks. If it's deemed useful enough then yeah, we could add this one or my other tutorial for beginners to the OP. Also if anybody has ideas for another tutorial they'd like to see, let me know.

>>2184441>>2184793hey guys, now I did this. What do you think?
>>2184853Got some technique issues. Red circles are color/bleeding issues, blue circles are for lineart issues.A nice tip is to add a bright green background to your image before exporting. It helps with finding some of these issues. It seems like you're using stroke to fill, so not much to comment on as far as line consistency. I'd suggest adding some variation to the line thicknesses for different objects (skin, clothes, hair, etc.).Coloring is nice and simple. Nothing really to point out.
>>2184854thanks, man!
>>2184054Yeah, I think I agree. I tried a thing where I put an intermediate piece between the color and the line art and made it a gradient to try to make a smooth shift from the color to the line art, but it looks kind of...awkward? Do you think I should just keep it simple and make the shading black, like the line art?
>>2185190I'd keep it simple and make the whole line art the same dark brown color as the shading. I'm a bit doubtful that making both the line art and shading black would look very good.
>>2183502Nice tutorial, maybe add it to the OP?
>>2185198Should I keep the rest of the line art that isn't merged with the color black? I don't know how well that would mix with the line art parts that are dark brown.
>>2185286I'd make it all the same dark brown color to see what the result is like. At this point it's a bit tough to give an opinion since I can't see it for myself.
>>2185308Well, this is how it looks like with the folds of the dress dark brown, and I guess also how much I've done so far. I've been working on this on and off lately.
>>2185308>>2185612And this is how it looks like with the folds of the dress black.
>>2185613It is hard to tell without the colors filled in, it could go either way. You can always leave them colored and make the whole section easy to select, like a group or separate layer, so you can just select all the lines easily and swap colors back and forth.
I'm still alive and working on this for the Anon that requested it.Base coloring is done. Now for shading. Dekodere's GMesh tutorial video will definitely come in handy for a couple of areas.
>>2185622Yeah, that makes sense. I'll just leave it black for now and hopefully I can figure out the rest of the line art, then move onto coloring.
any thoughts?
I'd like this vectored, thanks.

>>2186572
>>2186603Linework is a bit chaotic but its overall pretty good.
>>2186615thanks!What would be a linework not chaotic? I think that's the most dificult part...
>>2186634I think more consistent line thickness overall. The arms in particular looks kind of wonky at parts. Also varying linework thickness based that it is also helps. Hair should be thinner than skin where as clothes can be thicker than both. This is just a general guide but it really adds a lot subtle depth.
>>2186657I see... Thanks again!I'm doing this one now, what do you think?
>>2186603That looks very nice. Good job. Would kind of like to see a nude filter of that now.Would you mind uploading it in a vector graphics format?
So I had planned on doing this and was working on it off and on but low and behold someone else is already working on it. Still I'm not going to give up Shinobu that easily. It is kind of cool to see how someone else does it though.
>>2186658Just a few things I noticed. I don't actually know what the original picture was but the parts I circled in Red look really wonky, especially around the hands. The parts I highlighted in blue are the hair lines that vary way too much. I would choose a set thickness and try to match that for the hair.I'm not expert though. I do like it though, can't wait to see it finished.
>>2185612>>2185613>>2187035As a passive observer I always like it when more than one person does an image and I can see the differences in the way things were approached.

Hi anons. I created this original character for a project of mine using inkscape. I need some feedback here regarding what needs improvement/fixing. Keep in mind that this is original so there was no reference material or concepts etc. thanks.
>>2187071>>2187071There are more issues that I don't really know enough to precisely identify and articulate, but these are the things I noticed.>Same width strokes all over, no variation in line weight even for different materials>Line around mouth is a bad color, shadow on nose is too strong, looks very unappealing>Wonky anatomy on hands and knees, left thumb is particularly bad>Pose is extremely stiff and boring, looks unnatural>Didn't circle this but the colors are pretty flat too, shadows in particular seem to be just grey overlays with no hue shifting>There's a small part where the layering is wrong on the hat and hair>Bent shadow on her hair when it should be round>Hair highlight is completely uniform across her bangs when it should be disrupted by the depth in the hair>Hair highlight comes away from hair edge at bottom>Boots have sharp bends on each side, when they ought to be fairly round, makes the boots look like a squashed football shape, not matching a real boot and not big enough to fit her legs>I don't know exactly what that thing is she's holding, but if it's a watch (or watch-shaped) then the perspective is bad on top, makes it look like the bulb thing is parallel to the viewer when it should be parallel to the watch body. The shadow on the stem is wrong too, it curves when the sides show it should be straight.Did you try sketching this first before jumping straight to the final vector?
>>2187070yea, but in what format should I upload it?
>>2187077Oh! Vector file formats are gonna be .svg for Inkscape and .ai for Illustrator.
>>2187088sure thing! Here you go: https://files.catbox.moe/pqfgv8.ai
>>2187074Thank you anon for your feedback, this will really help. I will try to fix what you mentioned. I will post again once I have fixes but that might take days. As for the the sketch you mentioned, I only did pic related and then jumped into inkscape. At first I made a initial version out of it but I didn't like it and completely overhauled to one I posted previously.
>>2187115Half of one sketch is not enough. Do thumbnail sketches. Small, undetailed sketches just to get the big picture. Do lots and lots of them (you'll only spend a tiny amount of time+effort on each one), and try different versions of the piece in each one. This way, you can quickly and easily try out a lot of ideas and pick the best without needing to take each one to completion.Use references for your poses whenever you can (and do the pose yourself) to help you learn anatomy and to figure out if a pose feels natural. Curve the line of action to make the pose flow.If you don't know what I'm talking about, google the keywords "thumbnail sketch" and "line of action". You will need these concepts.
>>2187122Thank you for the advice, it will help since I will have to do sketches now that I want to change the pose (I don't like it either). The reason the sketch was half, is that only the half will be shown. For instance see the pic related that it was taken from the beta website. The same is used for the native application. But then I decided to create it as a whole in order to have it as reference art of the character/mascot.
>>2186603yo what's her name please>>2187035keep it up bro, looking forward two y'alls' results
>>2187218Looks like Ais Wallenstein from Danmachi
>>2186199Honestly, I can't decide if I like Shinobu or Yotsugi more. Though I'm curious to know what you guys do with your finished vectors.>>2187035It's interesting that you decided to explicitly draw her mouth; since the donut covers it, I figured I'd just draw the upper lip to save myself unnecessary work. I also think you messed up a bit on the lower right hair area, since you have a front piece of hair that "connects" to the hair behind it. It's how it's drawn in the original art, but I don't think that would be correct. Just my two cents.
>>2187241>I'm curious to know what you guys do with your finished vectors.Webpage waifus, home screens, desktop wallpapers, avatars, I've used a couple as shortcut icons, I even had a mousepad printed for one; when you have a vector, the sky's the limit.
>>2187218>>2187220Exactly.
>>2187243I guess I'm not really the creative type. I had a non-vector Yotsuba printed on a mousepad, but beyond that, I don't really want people seeing an anime character on my computer desktop or my phone home screen. I realized that I honestly don't even know why I'm doing vectors beyond just for fun.
>>2187263i get what you mean, power level stuff is what id use
>>2187263>>2187265I'm a grown ass man, I will have anime girls on my PC if I want and ain't nobody gonna tell me shit about it.
>>2187241I've had to take a lot of liberties and draw lines where they don't actually exist. In other parts I tapered off the line work into points. This one is actually kind of challenging on some parts since the linework blends in with the coloring in a lot of places.Still have a few things I need to do like the back ribbons and such but this is coming long pretty nicely I think.
So there is this new anime coming in winter 2021, and I really liked this girl. This is from the official page, https://wonder-egg-priority.com/assets/img/top/mainvisual/ph_chara.pngMaybe it's too much or maybe it could be "auto vectored"? Since it's a clean png.
If I am looking for a specific picture posted here and uploaded to some sort of booru that was used 5+ years ago on here, where would I find it today? I remember a BRS wide picture and know it was on some sort of booru that was used at the time, but seems to be missing from all current ones.
>>2180723>>2181345i-i hate to bug, b-but is there any progress on this...?
>>2187657Yes I started this but the fur looks kind of wonky. Not sure to to approach this one desu
>>2187663oh haha to be honest i didn't even really notice the fur texture before...
>>2167998>>2187296I think I'm pretty much finished with this. I think this could make a cool wallpaper. Also I can easily remove the donut in her mouth and her bracelet since I wanted those elements to be toggle-able.
>>2187665Wow, that looks pretty good! I am curious to know how you did the parts where the line art blends into the coloring. And now I don't know if I should continue working on my vector or just do another one.
>>2187666>I am curious to know how you did the parts where the line art blends into the coloringSome of them I drew new lines just to fill out the shape. I did that on the shoes since it looked odd without it. In other places I just used tapered lines to try and subtly blend it.Also went with darker colors for the linework, even though its almost the same exact color like her dress. I think this looks better than just the rough shape without the lines.>And now I don't know if I should continue working on my vector or just do another oneUp to you Anon. I've done a lot of Shinobu requests, she is my favorite. It would be cool to see two vectors of same thing, even if it is redundant.
>>2180395Where is a good place to find some of the svgs? I was wondering if there was a collection somewhere of a lot of anime svgs.
>>2187671the svg files have not been collected because people use them to make bootleg merch on teespring and redbubble and that ain't coolif you want a specific vector's svg ask in here and maybe the artist will give it to you
>>2181792You could ask macross 82-99 what font he used, although that just look like one of the default fonts for japanese, you could probably find it if you checked the first few fonts that come up if you work with japanese.Or, you can go full ukiyoe carver and trace the letters like the art.
>>2187672What stops them from using the pngs for merch? The pngs are all huge and high quality, doesn't seem like it would make a difference...Still thank you fir answering, does anybody here have any svgs of kyoto animation traces they did?

Requesting for the love of Lain. How this isn't already a vector I'll never know. But I can't find it anywhere.
I ectored this with very thin lines on purpose. But then, when I colored it, I didn't care for the thin lines at all :(In an attempt to see if I could fatten the lines up easily, I applied a modest stroke to the linework, but the mitering (necessary to keep the curves pointed) is making my nice hair lines all bent, and it looks like ass. The lines still aren't as thick as they could be, either (pic related). The thicker the stroke, the worse this gets.Is there a better systematic way to make all your lines thicker, or are you just screwed?
>>2188558There is a way but I think it would make more work, not less.
>>2188558I mean, your problem comes from trying to do your lines using strokes...If you make your lines using fills, then you would have complete control over the thickness of the line on all the nodes. Also worth noting that for best results, the nodes of a line should be directly across from one another and their handles as parallel as possible. With that, modifying thickness is just a matter of adjusting the separation between nodes and adjusting the handle length to maintain the correct curve. Pic related shows a simple example of what I just said.
>>2188599I could be misunderstanding, but it sounded to me like they used fills and decided the lines were too thin when they finished, and tried to cheat going through and fixing them all individually by adding a stroke on top of the fill.
>>2188599I guess I could have expressed the issue better. I did the lines with fills originally. I made my lines thin on purpose, and did not like how they turned out.To widen all the lines when they are fills, my options are either 1) to hand-adjust every handle in the project, or 2) attempt some procedural fix first and ask for advice about this.
>>2188605yes, that
>>2188608You can use Object > Path > Offset Path. but it will be janky, occasionally cut off points, and add tons of handles making it harder to edit the mistakes it creates.
>>2188612cont...If you were doing the things 1 object at a time it wouldn't be a big deal but to do them all at once like you want to do will make a mess that is harder to fix than just doing it manually.
>>2188613The dynamic offset appears to handle the graduals very well but makes a mess of the cusps. Most of these blunt cusps can be fixed very easily (but individually) by selecting the pair and>Delete segment between two non-endpoint nodes>Join selected nodesI don't know if these can/do have hotkeys, I use them all the goddamn time but Inkscape settings are a labyrinth to meThe offset does indeed generate a surfeit of bad nodes in intersections and such. I think I will declare this image finished and just keep the tool in mind for future possible use. Thanks!
hello anons and happy new year to you. I came back with some modifications on the original character I created. I changed the pose, made changes to the dress, hands, stopwatch and boots. I did not apply all the feedback changes yet and the hat is missing for now. I would like to know if this pose is more interesting now as well as any more feedback you may have.
made this very quickly while was bored during new years eve
If someone could vector this I'd be grateful.
Requesting a vector for this fish. Will be eternally grateful.
>>2189262Here you go, buddy.
>>2189112Id do it over the weekend, havent done one in a while.
requesting for a vector, cant find one in the google drive
>>2189336I got this. I want to try a plugin anyway
>>2189336Well, fuck. This took longer thankes to the shakes.
Is it okay to ask for vectors by modifying a (probably) simple real-life image? I want a powerlevel wallpaper made out of BNA's Silver Wolf necklace but couldn't find any decent frame with the necklace upfront; the best image is from a random online shop selling an acrylic version of it.
>>2189380Ya, and that one shouldn't be hard.
>>2189381Oh nice, thanks Nakki! By the way, I'm thinking of putting your vector in white color over a simple blue blackground. Do you think that would look good? I haven't made a wallpaper myself before and so intend to keep it simple.
>>2189382As long as it is a medium to dark blue so it doesn't disappear in the blue. You will have to decide how dark of a blue you want if you want the icon white.

>>2189360Thanks
>>2189385Thanks a lot!
Do you guys ever do alternate colors versions of your vectors?

Requesting the Girl on the Top-Left without background but with the cloth details.
>>2190099Got anything better? The items are just pasted onto the figure and it would take a long time to correct them.
>>2190101Can't find a higher res version of that pic, but I got this one.
Requesting a vector of this pic, is already cut in png and there are like 7 colors minimun.
Anybody have an idea where I can find the original vector file for this?
>>2189757I started working on it
>>2190306Nice, thanks, hope it isn't too difficult and that you are enjoying the show. It looks like a well executed Flip Flappers but with more realistic degisns/overall tematic.
