TL;DR: Toradora! Wallpaper threadI just finished watching this one after many people recommended it for years... It casually popped in my Netflix and recognized the name. I literally binged it in like a day and a half... it was just so good and moving from start to finish.I was a fool for postponing it. Not really a fan of the "romance" genre (in anime nor literature), but this one hit so god damn fucking hard...And by the end I was like so invested on every single character's future and happiness. It kinda makes me feel a bit embarrased to be completely honest...So yeah... I'll be listening to the 10 hour Lost My Pieces track on YouTube.
Toradora is my absolute favorite. First anime I watched and it was good tier. I cried at the end and I ain't even ashamed of it.
Back in highschool this was my go to weeb Pape. I had such trouble finding it again, though so if it's shit quality I'm sorry m8. I just want to feel those feels again.
>>2176995anime?
>>2176995no, nothing
>>2177072>>2177073literally in the title dude, Toradora!
>>2176574This was my wallpaper in college.Good times.
>>2175649My favorite anime of all time. Glad there's a new wave of people experiencing it for the first time thanks to netflix
>>2178844wasn’t ready for this amount of feels anon...
>>2179652
>>2176575its a litte different, i believe yours was the base for this.
men wdym toradora is one of the worst animes in the world i mean is the big example of a toxic relationship
>>2181809I hope this is bait, because if you think that then you didn't get a single thing about the series. The whole story is dedicated to the theme of growing up into someone, about being a shitheaded egocentric teenager and the role of learning about being yourself through the bonds you create with significant others. That's why the characters and their interactions (even if they're really over the top) are the center of attention, not the plot or the romantic inclinations per se. It's quite a transversal picture about adolescence and its many avatars, condensed in an intense and melodramatic school year... you know, like teenage kids do. It's about being a child, and learning to love and behave towards others as an adult. It's explicitly written for you not to see teenage animated kids as role models and wish their lives... That would be like watching Dragon Ball and taking advice on how to parent from Goku. It's written so you can reflect on who you are, who you pretend to be, and why do you stand like that. This kind of comments remind me of the people who say that La La Land is about being in love in modern Hollywood, or that Blade Runner is about chasing robots.
>>2182164He is not egocentric. No more than the average human. I would actually argue that everyone is egocentric, with potentially few exceptions.Anyway, the problem with the show is again its portrayal of males being abused. It has a female character (who I find rather intolerable) abusing a guy, and that is suppose to be funny. This is a huge problem in anime, the portrayal of men (or boys) being abused as a source of comedy. It's the reason I stopped watching Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi (seeing Sasshi abused was not amusing to me in the least) and the same thing happened with Toradora. Ryuji was not some bad dude to begin with.I don't know what it is with Japanese culture, whether Japanese men are masochistic or what. But they love portraying males being abused, physically and verbally. It's an instant turn off for me. I'm not into that.No more than I would be into a show where a girl or women being abused is suppose to be funny or deserved. Tommy Wiseau finds it funny, I don't.
>netflixDisgusting>>2182182Why are you being such a fag. Its not Japanese culture its just traditional. Its slap stick comedy and in more traditional societies its not acceptable to beat up a woman as a man. Its because men can take it. Wilma flinstone use to beat her husband all the time. This is something dating back in animation/cartoons for ever. You kind of just sound like a no fun allowed vagina blasted sjw.
I hope someone has a non orange version of thisPreferably green or red or white
>>2182232
>>2181809you're most likely the kind of dude who's just a delight to be around at parties and social gatherings... lol
Toradora was one of the last animu I really enjoyed.
>>2181809not exactly toxic just immature and short tempered.
>>2175649normalfag
>>2181809
>>2175649check out the psp visual novel, it has an alternate story where sometime after i think the christmas celebration Ryuuji gets amnesia. He doesn't necessarily have to end up with Taiga in the end of the vn either
>>2175649op are you me, literally the same situation as me the last 24 hoursthank you all for these great papes
>>2181809i agree shit anime, however i watched it a decade ago and don't recall much of it
>>2175649this anime sucks, so fucking cringe, go watch some good anime please, you're loosing it.
>>2175649Posting best girl.>>2188844>He doesn't necessarily have to end up with Taiga in the end of the vn eitherWish that was the case in the anime. If Ryu had ended up with either of the two other girls it would have been a fantastic anime about friendship and choosing your family; Instead it was a little cliché.
>>2175652do you have the version without the whitebars? I remember someone posted it a long time ago but I lost it
>>2195643there you go
>>2195645dog bless, thanks anon
So many feels itt ;-;

>>2182164Toradora is a fucking B anime, it doesn't have a super deep meaning. It has a shitty ending but good character development. The ending is by far one of the worst endings in romance anime, the real star of the show is the character growth but it isn't THAT deep. Holy fuck it is an 8/10 romance anime, let it go. The fact that it still has a cult following is kind of weird, they ruin the ending with the fucking title.
>>2200949Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
>>2200949I loved it because of how relatable it all was. So much of the stuff that happened in the anime happened to me in high school.
>>2201690Same. It felt just like being a teenager again.
>>2201944
>>2179824
>>2175650
>>2191318And yet it has become a classic, while you're still the same dumbass you were then.

>>2175649It is one of those romances that is good, but not great.

Blessed thread, anons
>>2219410I had this version I painted floating around my drive.
Brainstorming how to turn this into a proper wallpaper.
>>2223934I hadn't watched toradora yet when I painted the sides of this. Chuffed beyond belief that someone kept it!
>>2225869Upscaled and removed logo. 720p is too small.
>>2225900Put the logo back in, freshly vectored.
>>2225900>>2225925doing good work there anon :)
>>2226451I actually didn't even get close to my original vision when I made this one - this is more what I was going for. I'll (slowly) go through this thread and freshen up some of the logos also.
>>2176753I legitimately cannot believe that I am not the first person to vector this specific frame. At least I went a different direction with it, otherwise I'd feel retardeder.
>>2227430>>2227433feel free to bring in more stuff anon, I've saved quite a few from this thread... Toradora is also one of my girlfriend's favorite anime
>>2175649I hated that stupid anime so much that I clicked here just to say that. What part of that annoying dwarf with zero personality, that suddenly the MC decided to like, was good? To each his own I guess.
>>2228174as other anons have pointed out, Toradora is not about "romance"... as other works from Takemiya Yuyuko and Okada Mari, it's mainly about growing up, developing into oneself, being reflected upon by others and coming out of that process as a better grown adult. The series is about the character development, not about the characters or "their love" per se.
