any c&c mission without a base
>>
>>366781
I take any of these in-door missions from early C&C than the latter C&C3 missions. At least they're just hard because they're unbalanced and unfair, and not a "Lmao, can't even micro, you suck at RTS" filter.

I remember losing entire squads of infantry in Men of War to AA memes back when i was new to multiplayer. Very upsetting.
>>
>>366940
They were already grueling on the original release, the point were the AI stopped pulling punches and went all out against the player, but with the balancing patches, that were meant for multiplayer, broke the single-player campaign, making these missions a nightmare.

It ended becoming a solid filter for brainlets, since one has to display real skill on RTS to be able to complete these missions.
>>
>>367030
Yeah. And the stupid patches made some Nod missions harder than usual since some had you start with Cranes only. And Cranes after patches were incapable of producing defense structures. At least they should've allowed them to build the most basic defenses.
>>
>>367035
It's strongly recommended that less skilled players downgrade their game to retail version before starting the campaigns. The patched version is doable, but only for those that know RTS inside out.
>>

>>
>>366745
That mission isn't even hard m8. Just manage your power and use the god damn bunker ability of the rifflemen to reinforce those entrance points.
>>
>>368232
The thing is that nod infantry base on hard start spamming black hand squads if you turn on the trigger by atacking it and the black hand squads are just ukillable with apcs and rifleman so they just burn everything you have.
>>
>>368280
> and the black hand squads are just ukillable with apcs and rifleman

Clearly, you just have too few apcs filled with rifflemen
>>
>>368283
Just go and play it, the base just nonstop spammingblack hands, it just overspams you if you are not prepared.

The top base is easy just wait untill your tanks get vet 3 and destroy base defnces then capture nods operation center and factory, and just spam flame tanks to kill the inf base.
apcs with rifleman is barely working.
The whole reason of adding ap ammo upgrade in kanes wrath is because black hand is fucking unkillable in huge numbers by gdi.

You're supposed to capture Nod Northeastern base and send some flame tanks to the infantry base. That mission is walk in the park compared to Nod final mission.
>>
>>366745
That pic right there, I instantly felt it all come back to me as soon as I saw the OP, the worst part is the I would finish the mission itself but bonus objectives were something I absolutely had to get so I played it over and over and over agin
>>
>>368408
You clearly never played the patched 1.09 version. The double punch of nerfed economy and buffed Nod units make this mission completely brutal. Try capturing any base with a halved resource output, while an endless stream of super tough black hand swarm your base from the south, and stealth tanks guard every tiberium field and kill your harvesters faster than you can stop them, and kill everything you send to intercept them as well. It's RNG based, and real skill at micro is required to make any breakthrough.
>>
>>368494
There are no stealth tanks in nearest two fields, just wet your -5 predator tanks to start and then destroy defences of the top base and capture it.
It jus takes some micro.
The black hands spam begins like 10 mins into the game or something there alot of time to prepare for it.
Fuck i want to play tibwars campaign now, but vanilla is kinda boring(i replayed it like 2-3 month ago) are there any good mods that make campaign better?

t.>>368318
>>
>>368498
"Just" is not the right word to use on this case. Taking any base on what's supposed to be a "hold the line" mission is no easy task, especially this one. You know what you have to do, but actually pulling it off is a different matter, especially when the RNG is unfavorable (they DO deploy stealth tanks if you're unlucky).

>are there any good mods that make campaign better?
The go-to TW mod is Tiberium Essence. You can use it for the campaign (not KW), and there's lots of custom made fan campaigns as well. Some of them are pretty hard.
>>
>>368505
Unfortunately the tiberium essence mod is bugged for me. It just ends up crashing after about 5 mins of gameplay
>>
>>368494
I beat TibWars on 1.09, nerfed economy means that you can't rely on stationary defense since repairing them will put a dent on your income. Infantry rushes was frustrating in that mission not because of black hand but because rocket infantries outrange everything you have. You have to micro some APCs.
>stealth tanks guard every tiberium field
I didn't encounter any stealth tanks until after I deployed construction yard, again I was fucked by playing as the game intended. This game catered to the micro addicted chipmunks, unless you are good at micro prepare to savescum every ten seconds. I know I did.

Building on the god damned roads
Fuck this shit, fuck every single faggot that does this
>>
>>368675
I don't think savescumming will do much good in a RTS base-building mission, since what makes the player lose is a collection of mistakes and terrible micro, rather than a sudden, unexpected wrong action. What is the use of "saving" if you already screwed up the build order and the enemy is fucking up your defenses?
>>
>>368873
You lose because you let small mistakes snowballed into gigantic fuck up. Saving lets you anticipate the turn of events and act according to the most optimum course of action. But if you had no hopes of winning a game due to lack of skill or experience to begin with, saving won't help. Hell, this applies to every strategy games, RPGs or shooter out there. Just git gud bro.

I think I know what your problem with TE is. By default, the game only uses 1GB of RAM, which is fine for the vanilla game, but can cause problems on certain mods. There's a way to allow the game to use more RAM, I don't remember how or where it is, but you're welcome to search if you want.

>AYY LMAO Capture two Construction Yards, btw there trying to kill each other and if one race dies you lose :DDDD. Heres 5 units btw goodluck :DDDDDD
Operation Stiletto, one of the most infamous missions ever made. My hats of to you if you managed to beat it legitimately on Hard. However, if you don't care for the bonus objectives, there's an easy way to cheese it and complete it in less than 5 minutes.

>Ayy hope you enjoy an escort mission, except your escort hates you and attacks you, and GDI has bullshit juggetnaughts with infinite range
Kane's Tower. This one is heavily RNG based, sometimes they'll send an overwhelming force that will be impossible to stop. Either way, the trick is capturing said Juggernauts with infinite range, and turning their guns on their former masters.

There are games that help avoid this sort of mishaps:

>planning mode (anno 1800)
>buildings are not instantly build and your workers need to bring the goods there first (settlers)

Ignoring everything fucking else about this stupid mission
WHY THE FUCK WOULD THE BASES HAVE DEFENSES FOR THE UNITS THEY'RE PRODUCING
That is fucking awful design. When the air base is literally only attackable by air units it shouldn't have shitloads of anti-air as well. A game where a single fucking tank can crush an entire infantry army shouldn't have the tank base be protected by anti-tank turrets so that you can't fucking push it with infantry or tanks until you hit critical mass on a map with no fucking resources that you can safely gather

>air base with land-based AA units?
You literally cannot. The air base is on top of a cliff that is inaccessible except through aircraft and airdrops and getting through all the annoyance of the defense and escort and knocking down two bases only to learn you don't have the goddamn money to fund airfield production enough to actually knock down the airbase that is inaccessible to all the tanks you had to build because infantry can't break the tank base for their lives because flame tanks and crush.
C&C tanks can counter anything with micro which the computer does near perfectly every time.
