Stellaris+HOI4: Star Trek flavored is releasing in a monthIs your body ready?
>>1544675Stellaris is the worst rts I've ever played so why would I want to play Stellaris with a star trek coat of paint? Everything about that screenshot screams "this is a shitty game"
>Closet PoliticsRomulans do butt stuff?
>>1544675It'll probably be decent, but fuck I'm disappointed that it's literally just stellaris, especially when there's a really good star trek mod already.
>>1544675Why is the Romulan symbol there a goatse?
I love Star Trek but I never found Stellaris appealing, maybe this is what I need to give it a fair shot. I don’t think I even made it past the tutorial before. I have to say though I really don’t like the character art.
>>1544675Call me when Andorian DLC drops.
>>1544675Meh, literally just a repackaged Stellaris mod, and its pretty obvious they are going to nickel and dime Trekkies for every other alien faction, unique starships and characters, etc to make easy money>>1544735Did you not see the 'Closet Politics' Romulans are teh gay
>>1544772I love the Andorians. Hope we get some good stuff for them.
>>1544772>>1544778Andorians are part of the Federation.
>Paid mod>Two mods with the same premise already existSo are they going to C&D New Horizons/Civilisations?
>>1544675I've been dilating for a little over a month now. Tie me to a rocket, I am ready!
>missus is a complete trekkie>watches star trek EVERY DAYyeah if i play this i'll never live it down. i love the woman but i'd rather die
>>1544800The Federation devours everyone.
>>1545303not for long
No Breen, no buy.
can't someone just make this into a video game?>inb4 vassalactual game with the rules coded
>>1544675>stellaris combat>stellaris diplomacyabsolutely doa, give me bridge commander/armada sequels or don't even bother trying, especially not on a fucking stellaris engine of all things
>>1544675>tng spoilers right off the bat on the faction selection menubravo paradox
>>1544675Terran empire DLC when?
>>1545630Is that fucking Kirk Douglas on the right?
>Stellaris: the worst space 4x ever made with a devoted following of barely literate retards who found anything but star lanes confusing and use the game to act out endless WH40k LARPs and god knows what else>Paradox hasn't made a good game in a very long time (arguably ever)>Star Trek hasn't made anything watchable since Enterprise and is now about BIPOCLGBT feelings. In space.yeah you might want to skip this one anons
>>1545478>breenwhat the hell would they have? all they could really be is a couple research options and ships with the dominion
>>1546094They could be untrustworthy traitors to their quadrant.
>>1545783Alternate-timeline Tasha's half-romulan rapebaby from the future-past still pisses me off and it's been like 30 years.
>>1544718It's a faaaake!
>>1545783>spoilers for something that is over 30 years old at this point
>>1546174She looks sexy. Shame about the personality.
>>1544675Oh my slop
>>1545630Is that even any good?
>>1545783>tng spoilersWhat?
>>1546965 one of the characters on the romulan picture is Sela, daughter of alternate timeline Tasha Yar and some unnamed romulan general. It happens as a big wtf moment in season 4
>>1546982You might be autistic.
Where's the Turkana IV faction?
>>1547002Still in Anatolia.
>>1546986He answered the question. Don't be a cunt.
>>1546986care about something = autismi wish we could all be as cool and aloof as yourself
>>1544675Nah I'm just just gonna play BotF
>>1545783Most people in this thread are younger than that episode.
> stellaris but with less alien raceswho was this made for? Its literally just a custom setup for Stellaris, but with some actors faces plastered on front.I honestly dont understand why this wasn't just a DLC/Expansion for stellaris
>>1547228It couldn't be official DLC. They would have get the license for star trek. It would probably be far more trouble than it would be worth.
>>1546842I've seen it put on a table in the middle of a match. The plexiglass cover was caked in dust and the guys at the club said the people playing it hadn't had a session in months. Take that as you will.
>>1544675I just wonder how much of this is based on the series and how much is PDX fiction.Like will every Federation planet be from the show? Also, little is known about other factions, we barely know how Klingons operate because all Klingon episodes are set in Klingon homeworld. So will every Klingon planet be full of Klingons or will it empire be 90% of generic aliens subjugated by the Klingons?
>>1544675Two shit games combined, paired with an IP that has been raped to death?! Oh my science. How could I be anything but hyped???
>>1547482it better have dancing klingons or elsehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arQcprQvHOo
Space bennies?
>>1544729anon this is literally just the people who made that mod making it a standalone stellaris expansion. the assets are 1/3 stellaris, 1/3 the mod, 1/3 novel.
>>1547710>anon this is literally just the people who made that mod making it a standalone stellaris expansion. No it's not. It's the devs from the MoO remake are making it. The modder from the Stellaris mod was losing his mind because Paradox blindsided him by just making his mod but smaller and it costs money.
>>1547642>It even has ascension perksFucking lol. I wonder if they even make sense in the ST setting or if they are just Stellaris' ascension perks.
>>1544675Did they say Dominion, Borg, Nero are end endgame disasters?
>a gay dumbed down paid version of the stellaris star trek modwho would be dumb enough to buy this
>>1544675>What will you stand for?>Klingon Empire>GLORY AND HONOR>TNG Klingon???Wasn't their entire plotline about assassinating and poisoning each other to gain control? You even have one of the backstabbing twits on the left and a poison victim in the middle.
>>1548212Yeah, there was a plotline about corruption, but it also made the point that most klingons were disgusted by it.They also feel that their culture is dying ever since it lost the war with the Federation and signed that peace treaty, so klingon government is taking extreme measures to hold the empire together otherwise it would likely fracture into smaller klingon nations.
>>1547887What the fuck is a Nero?
>>1544675>Star Trek: Infinite>Races: Federation, Klingon, Romulan Cardassian>>1547209>Star Trek: BotF>Races: Federation, Klingon, Romulan Cardassian, Ferengi Guess what the first Race-DLC is going to be... if not we need to lobby for it...
>>1545841You missed the memo, everyone loves strange new worlds and picard s3.
>>1548607In Star Trek (2009) he is the commander of Romulan mining vessel, and time travels back to TOS era, and ends up killing Kirk's father.
>>1544675>Stellaris+HOI4
>>1548640My hope is we get Dominion stuff later on
>>1548668Oh that guy. He's so insignificant I couldn't think of him on the same level as the other two.
>>1548810His mining ship is more advanced than anything else and destroys planets, he literally destroys Vulcan.
>>1548819Because he goes far back in time and attacks an unprepared world? How is he a threat to a lategame stellaris civ?
>>1548820In Star Trek universe ability to destroy a planet is unheard of.By the end of DS9, no civilization has the ability to blow up planets, even if they can render them unhabitable (e.g. Sisko)
>>1548823Genesis device.
>>1548823>In Star Trek universe ability to destroy a planet is unheard of.What about the stuff to make the Bajoran sun go supernova? Changeling-Bashir just printed that out of an ordinary industrial replicator
>>1547828>MoOLMFAO
>>1549129What's funny about that?
>>1549131Funny in a "oh my god" kind of way, that actually happened.
>>1549136MoO remake wasn't too bad if that's what you mean. Was just kind of barebones and boring.
I think Infinite could be good. Stellaris is an unfocused mess with each new DLC new stacking shit on top of old shit, and none of the disparate systems really mesh together. The game really would benefit from someone outside looking at the entire thing, hack away the terrible parts, and rework everything into a cohesive whole. Bring focus to the project - in this case, turn it into a Star Trek game. Even as fun as the Trek mods are, they are still fundamentally Stellaris with all its annoyances.I'm fully expecting Infinite being more limited than Stellaris in scope. But if it does the limited stuff better than the bloated Stellaris does, I'm willing to give it a chance.
>>1548640>First DLC>FerengiBased
will they bring back warp mechanics?that would be kino, instant buy for me
>>1552173Warp is back
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1622900/Star_Trek_Infinite/Also, screenshots on the steam page were updated. Game looks slightly more unique, compared to the announcement screenshots. It's still reskinned Stellaris, but reskinned Stellaris with more Star Trek vibe.
>>1547828Poor guy...
>>1552188I guarantee you this isn't warp, but just the hyperlane system with the actual hyperlane map removed, exactly what the star trek mod currently does to simulate it.
>>1552190>>1552188this actually, incredibly, looks worse than the free star trek mod available to anyone who already owns stellaris
Did they fail to obtain the Star Wars IP or something? Star Wars as a franchise is dying, but Star Trek is dead and buried.
>>1548643Stay in /tv/ you sick fucking schizo
>>1552188Neat. I don't expect this game to be good but having warp back is cool.>>1552237The other anon is unfortunately right. I'm not sure how people got brainwashed into liking it. I think it's something to do with some popular trek youtubers. I tried watching them but they suck. It's 100% marvel movie tier writing for discovery, picard, and snw.
>>1552188Will have all the speeds? Will most flying be done at warp 5? Will distances never make sense and ships sometimes able to get somewhere in a few hours when it should actually take weeks and vice versa?
>>1552188>>1552190I really am struggling to get over how it's literally just stellaris. I was trying to think of a historical comparison and that Star Wars age of empires game comes to mind. Same game, different skin.
Wonder if the developers came to paradox? Why would they choose these guys?
>>1552454Because of this. Makes sense to me.
>>1552450Same.Civilization: Beyond Earth is another one. It was a paid Civ V mod, but iN sPaCe.This looks like a paid mod for Stellaris, but Star Trek.
>>1552540BE felt a bit different though. It was more like a sequel to the science ending of Civ 5, which was a cool idea. The game just ended up being bad. But it didn't feel like a straight skin swap like this one. The funny bit about it being a paid mod is that there is already a better free ST mod. Are PDX gonna delete the mod or something?
>>1544675>Literally a paid modParajews my god they should kill themselves
