Praying Mantis doomstack is completely broken. Game is honestly just boring once you get them because they steam-roll everything else.Waiting for the arachnid dlc to break the game. At least it might be a challenge

Poor historical records + low unit variety (e.g. only Assyrians should have proper cavalry in this time period) + primitive weapons and armor intensifying the aforementioned low variety (your heavy infantry and cavalry can only be so heavy in an era before lamellar/scale). It is a much more appropriate era for a more peacetime-focused game than it is for Total War which is still ostensibly a wargame at its core. What's the point of a historical game where all the gaps are filled in with TW Troy-tier loosely myth-based fanfiction?
