WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK CK3BROS
just 10 more years
>>1435841kneepads
>>1435830Meanwhile crusades are still flavorless shit.
Waiting 5 more years till they rework lifestyles (by rework I mean replace them completely) so I can play something other than PoD.
>>1435859PoD?
>>1435875
>>1435830They will never fix combat system. Absolute redditslop.
>>1435830Did they rework the ERE yet?
>>1435908No and in ck4 it's going to be like in vicky3. Same with eu5.
>>1435887literal tranny game
>>1435908I’m more annoyed that they never fixed it in ck2, since now it is stuck with that broken retinue random tactics system forever.
Don't you just love the crusades..the AI of attackers just milling about in 2k-5k stacks and constantly changing around the place before a sand nigger doomstack of 70k just comes through and wipes them all out. Great stuff!
>>1436037Historically accurate chud
>>1436037Get this mod:https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2921875710The supply system in ck3 is broken and late game the micro becomes tedious. This also improves the AI a little by making them focus on sieging and battles more instead of fiddling with supplies.
>go hunting bison>get an event where I kill it>hunt fails
>>1436037Why would Swedish devs want Muslims to lose?
>>1436037And even if the Crusaders win, all of the beneficiaries are women.
JUST ONE MORE PATCH BROS ONE MORE PATCH AND IT WILL BE GOOD BROS,ONE MORE THIRTY DOLLAR DLC AND IT'LL BE JUST AS GOOD AS CK2!
>>1436483I don't understand why you can't just make yourself the beneficiary it's not like this game prevents you from blobbing anyway.
Someone needs to make a mod to remove the le heckin hilarious maymay references. Like every fucking event is a cringy reference to some ancient dead meme. I would do it myself but I'm not a writer.
>just characters get stress for executing criminals and infidels???
This video is literally the ck3 event writers.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5eC7Jtp05s
>>1437473You would have no events left then except the pee pee poo poo ones
>>1437492You could just change the localization of the events no need to remove the events entirely or redo the coding.
>>1437489Bruh where tf is the subway surfers gameplay?
bros...
Bump
>>1436166the "slay beast failed" thing is because you didnt *personally* slay it
>>1437950And I thought CK2 events were silly.
>>1437950Are they implying Cleopatra had big man hands and bad hygiene just because she was black? That's racist!
>>1436037Sounds like you suck
>>1435830How did it do so well in rating? Paradox dlc always get skewered on steam. Is it Actually worth the price?
>>1443118its a decent dlc unironically, they still shouldve done a religion dlc first th*ugh.
Alright lads, slight nitpick here. I wish they would have made the model of your character as they're travelling into your actual character model instead of "generic man with walking stick".
>>1443211>checkedThat is picky. I usually am not one to say mods should do that, but in this case, I wonder if mods could do that. Or like match the map model to the color of clothing or something at least.
What's a good matilda of tuscany strat? I'm not very smart so I'm having a hard time brainstorming what to do. How did she get so famous irl?
>>1443227She ruled as a feudal margravine and, as a relative of the imperial Salian dynasty, she brokered a settlement in the so-called Investiture Controversy;>in this extensive conflict with the emerging reform Papacy over the relationship between spiritual (sacerdotium) and secular (regnum) power, Pope Gregory VII dismissed and excommunicated the Holy Roman Emperor Henry IV in 1076. At the same time, Matilda came into possession of a substantial territory that included present-day Lombardy, Emilia, Romagna and Tuscany, and made the Canossa Castle, in the Apennines south of Reggio, the centre of her domains.
>>1443211Fitting for paracuck peasants
>start game>stare at map and menus for a while trying to come up with a plan>can't think of what to do>exit to desktop>repeat 10 minutes laterI wasted so much money on this game. I guess I just don't have a mind for it. I never know what to do.
>>1443254>blog itwhat game? what was the setup?
>playing just to create intricate coat of arms along the way for my dynasts and titlesis anyone else super autistic about coat of arms or is that just me
When they announced the barbershop revamp and the ability to sell useless artifacts, I thought >oh, neat, they're integrating popular QoL mods into the game and I won't have to use these two anymoreI still have to use fullscreen barbershop (aka improved barbershop now) and artifact manager because of half-assed implementation of these mods. Thanks Paradox.
>>1443260I haven't used the CoA designer until my current run, but i found sperging over CoAs to be entertaining form of visual storytelling. Made me wish the game had something more dynamic and allowed for rulers to have personal CoAs that reflect marriages, inheritance and dynastic unions.
>>1443301>allowed for rulers to have personal CoAsdittoing this, its kind of absurd that this isnt the case considering that coat of arms during both startdates and quite a bit after were to my knowledge solely personal
>>1443254>buying games
>>1435830
>>1443301>>1443319how do you niggas select what titles to put on those?
>>1443319It's more complicated than that, just like with feudalism it would be unfeasible to create a game system that would accurately reflect herlardly practices among all european areas of heraldic tradition, and that's not even counting in the Middle East, Africa and India.Tbh as probably the only person in the radius of 1000km that is interested in heraldry, it rustles my jimmies when I see player designed CoAs that completely shit on generally common rules, like not following alternation of color/metal and placing color on color for example.
>>1435830$30 for fucking what exactly? tours? tournaments? knight flavor? go fucking rape yourselves paradox
>>>/vrpg/
>>1448419They don't really need to make one that accurately reflect practices correctly for all areas in one go. They could either roll them out in patches or in the flavour pack dlcs, and just focus on for example Britain, France, and German(ic) at launch of the system.Maybe keep it at levels, so Dukes only have Ducal level titles and strong Ducal Claims on their COAs, and Kings only have King titles and king/emperor claims, with exeptions allowed in code for cultures/ethicities who had historically "lower" titles in the COAs, so Spain can have the "Dutchies" of Leon and etc in their flag. This would of course require that the COA maker is (heavily) reworked and all the stuff that was used in real life is added to it, so would probably be too much work for a CK3 dlc, and more fitting for a CK4 system.
>>1448586CK3 DLC’s strange and stupid, because features that would’ve been DLC exclusive in CK2 like the culture rework, regencies, vassal stances, personal artifacts and the travel system get rolled out as part of the base game patches itself, leaving relatively little for the DLC to offer.
>>1448671I don't think that's a wrong direction.I imagine execs at Paradox wanted to avoid the fate of previous titles being so covered in DLCs that a completely new customer has to pay 700$ or so for what is "current" EU4 experience. And do note that while base game has those additions, player is very visibly reminded they can have more fun with the mechanic if they purchase the DLC, be it greyed out grand wedding in ck3 or locked council "slots" in the council view in stellaris.
>>1448691Oh I agree, and there are benefits to the devs too since they don’t need to develop as much for multiple different versions if the game depending on the DLC the player has. But the side effect is it means the DLC feels pretty limited and the price seems to be jacked up to cover for all the people that no longer need to buy it because of that.I think mods are making them a bit lazy too. There are already popular mods for handling the Empire or Republic governments, so they feel less pressure to do it themselves. Plus they would need to be better than those mods without just copying them.
>>1448671I wouldn't say it is stupid, rather it's a half measure. What (I think) they're trying to do here is not lock these big systems behind a paywall, so that in the future when they need to add a new mechanic that reasonably should interact with some other stuff, they don't have to go crazy over the fact that it's premium content that someone might buy, but not have the other dlc.And I think it's a half measure, because as everyone rightly pointed out, we have expansions that cost even more than they used to while essentially being worthless fluff, as the actual meat comes with a free patch.Imo they should keep locking all these features behind a paywall, but to avoid a dlc bloat they should integrate these dlcs into the game after a couple of years.
I'd like a way to reform the Roman Imperial cult. I was thinking it would be cool if there hidden Hellenic religions (like the one in Iberia). One in Harran with Islamic syncretism and another in some corner of Greece with Cristian syncretism. In my mind if you controlled both these areas you could hold some sort of council with these people and through some sort of decision chain reform the Imperial cult and these faiths would swap out their syncretism tenets for rite. The Imperial cult would have a temporal head of faith title that you could only create if you held the Roman empire and would be automatically granted to whoever holds the Roman empire instead of having a weird succession mechanic of it's own. What do you guys think of my idea? It may very well be shit but it's been knocking around in my head for awhile and I needed to get it out.
>>1448939I think RICE has a Hellenic religion in Harran?
>>1448781Imo the only solution is a subscription based model, with graphic dlcs (additional armors etc)Make it $5/month, play every dlc released and get special cosmetic stuff ontop.
>>1448981It does, but it also has other weird things that I don't want. I just want the Harranian pagans, they're my favorite obscure historical group.
has the kyiv to kiev mod stopped working for anyone else since the update?
>>1435830>bros>t.parashit pr
>>1449862Why would you mod that out
>>1449876Because kyiv isn't real.

>>1435830Have the modders figured out the animation system so you can have sex and rape mods yet?
>>1449961>sex and rapeseriously cringe dude, just watch porn for god's sake.
>>1449979I already do. I enjoy pornographic video games as well. That's like saying you should read a history book instead of playing your little history RPGs.You're a silly little man.
>>1449961You can rape prisoners in carnalitas, no animations though, just a button prompt
>>1449961Yes, but they are janky af and you need like 1000 sub-mods.
>>1436037lol all the paradox sycophants on reddit say this is historically accurate cause the crusaders lost most of the warsNO ITS CAUSE THE WAR SYSTEM SUCKS!

>>1450127that wasn't me you fucking retard
>>1449939>I dont get it arent they free to call their town whatever they want?Yes, they were. And they were calling it Kiev during CK's timeframe.
Why are UI/UX developers so absolutely retarded? Was there REALLY no way to put this ANYWHERE else? Not to mention that theres THREE types of notifications... WHY!??!?!
>>1453671Sorry, there's actually 4 types of notifications>bottom right feed>situations>decisions>popups on topWas there really no way to somehow either position these humanely, or combine these different notifications?!
accolades are randomly the most obtuse and unintuitive design ever, I've just given up on them
>>1453897I never really bothered with them, my knights die too often. If some sort of meta evolves on how to properly use them I might try.
>>1453671>>1453672The CK3 UI is a monumental feat in shit design. It is almost stunning in how bad it is. Worst part is the criminal under-use of the "top-screen circular notification icons", the most readable, least intrusive notification type that they used just fine in CK2, in favor of "minor shit you don't care about being plastered into a huge, obtrusive unfolding banner" and "major shit you DO care about being only notified by a random flicker in that tiny drop-down menu with a kajillion different notifications".Oh, but we DO have the entire right 1/5 of the screen taken by constant reminders of your chucklefuck neighbors winning/losing wars in ways you do not give a flying fuck about. We certainly needed that! It even took several patches until you could dismiss them all.
>>1453942They're deliberately making games for absolute retards now. They've become like CA but they make games even more dumbed down than Rome 2.
>>1454455Why are you spamming this image everywhere?
>>1453942>>1453671Hot take. CK2 ui was better and more immersive.
