It's not so bad now, when all we have is speculation and no secondaries entering the threads, but what's going to happen when Limbus actually drops? You'll get plenty of posts about rolling, rerolling, monetisation, meta wars and other strictly gacha-related discussions. And if /vst/ becomes THE place to discuss Limbus, then think of what will happen to the newer games - when LC2 releases. We're going to be stuck in one thread with Limbus secondaries, sharing post and image limits. Many of them coming over from /vg/ and making a ton of smaller shitposts rather than long, thought-out posts, keeping most of the thread about Limbus and whatever current thread drama isI think keeping Limbus discussion here is short-sighted, it'll lead up long-term problems for PM discussion in general due to gacha brainrot. Keeping it isolated in a separate board now is the only way we can maintain discussion quality in the future - the very reason we fought back against getting sent to /vg/ in the first place/vg/ is obviously the wrong board to isolate Limbus discussion to, as that'll lead to even more problems, but /vmg/ solves the issue perfectly. It's a slow board where we can keep our signature 2000+ replies text-only threads, it isolates /vst/ threads from the trappings of gacha discussion, and it sidesteps the hellhole that is /vg/ perfectly. I've been filling in the waiting time by playing Slay the Spire with the Ruina conversion mods, and recently LoR with the roguelike mod.

It's harder than vanilla, so unless you like tryharding it's a good place to use all those modded characters that make you think 'hmm this is fun but it seems a bit too strong'. There's also a mod that lets you play as any of the Patrons and ports in all the Ruina cards and keypages. That's overtuned for vanilla but it's fine for the conversion. It's all great fun if you like both games. The only downside is how long it takes to load on a potato.The roguelike mod is a bit janky atm. It won't work if you haven't unlocked all 4 of Loland's asisstants and while it has a save system, it doesn't work properly; for some reason it loses track of some of your slotted cards, but still marks them as slotted in the card inventory so you lose them. Same issue when trying to save setiups. With that said, nobody else has compalined about it in the comments and I just screenshot the decks and then empty the bookshelves as a workaround before saving. I think it's worth doing because the game is fun, forcing you to make decks you'd never normally think of because you can't just grind out books. Urban Nightmare in particular can be very hard if you don't find enough draw/light cards. It features shops, new passives, global passives as rewards, random events, and the ability to upgrade cards. You also get to select which abno you'll get at each emotion trigger.If you want to try it out, I'd recommend testing the save function before leaving Canard. It's totally worth having to spend 1 minute prepping to save in exchange for the amount of time you can spend playing.
