Do yourself a favour and check just about any map made prior to 1600 or so. The only reason "north top, west left" is "normal" to you is cultural osmosis, and the reason why that happened is because it was handy for navigation - not due to it being easier or some shit like that, but because when you're sea-sick, having to take one step less when counting your position is pretty fucking nice.

I like your moxie, but try out the in-game camera rotation first. Be sure to turn off the auto rotation in the game settings so it doesn't rotate back.

Some names may be upside down because you are playing rotated 90 or so degrees. The map projections/provinces will also look funny the further to the north or south you go, but that is a standard issue of mapping globes, no matter the projection.

Plus with special vassal contracts it was no longer necessary to use religion mechanicd for the "devolved power" setup in CK2, although even in CK2, there were a lot more methods available by the end of development than when it was implemented.

The coder fork instead solves the issue by making new ways that are more interesting but see each other as righteous and probably later using struggle mechanics to represent changes in religious unity, but I don't think anyone in the tranny fork has the code ability to make the Emperor be able to be of any Way without losing his vassals on succession, or any of the other little details to make setups like that work

After the China dlc, Brazil was in ATE as a stand-in for the "super powerful offmap empire." The Coffee Wind also replaced the silk road, as a coastal trade route that winds from the Brazillian Empire through the Gulf and up the eastern shore. I assume they wanted that to still be a thing for lore, but the offmap power mechanics haven't been added yet

Svalbard is the weirdest case though. There were NEVER Inuit in Svalbard. Whites are effectively indigenous.
