Why not just put an ingame upper cap on APM?
>>1056790It already existit's your framerate
>>1056790How long would the cooldown between clicks be? Or would it use a queue system where your next order on the list gets executed after the cooldown following the previous order?
>>1056790Why not just play turn based games?Oh yeah cause you suck ass at those too
Why not just git gud?
everyone that complains about apm should just play turn based games and stfu
>>1056790Let me guess: you're a socialist, right?
>>1056790Because it serves no purpose for 99% of people, and the other 1% are being scrutinized intensely while they're playing so they can't use it to cheat.
Just play Line WarImportance of APM is reduced because ability to even micro in general is reducedhttps://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/256884201/movie_max_vp9.webm?t=1651059624>I won't play it has no singleplayerThen what do you care about APM for? Just play singleplayer in regular RTS and chill
1057922begone shill
>>1056790If you implemented this the people who play with 300 apm would still meet the cap while people like you wouldn't and still complainActually it would force higher level players to stop spam clicking with wasted actions and force them to only make meaningful actions. It would actually train them to become more efficient and dominate you even harder.
>>1057836>>1057890For me it's turn-based games with a time-limit on the turns. The best worst of both worlds.
>>1056790what's the point of that? just git gud >>1057922shill nigger
>>1057935Turn based games with no time limits but turn limits instead to expose the real brainlets
Graviteam Tactics does this, each order takes a certain amount of command that only replenishes so fast and more complicated orders take more command time
>>1057938The point is the outcome of a strategy game should be decided based on who has the better strategy, not who has the better fine motor skills.
>>1058676Unless you're disabled in some way, you can easly get to 600 apm doing fuck all. It's not the physical stuff that holds you back, big boy.
>>1058676Name one strategy game where you'll lose to an opponent with a worse strategy but better mechanics.
>>1058676Execution is, in fact, strategy. Delayed response on the battlefield can cost you victory. Play turn-based if that bothers you.
>>1057922this. the only gookclicking in that game is base building and placing lines lole. they basically removed micro being king with individual units.
>>1058694Every bad one.Even someone with tremors could get pretty decent at an RTS if they just put in the time to learn build orders.Learning to execute your chosen strategy well is not, as the person you're replying to would imply, 'just having better fine motor skills'.
>>1057935>turn-based games with a time-limit on the turnsWouldn't that describe most RTS games? Except the turns are something like 200 ms or less.
>>1056790Its been mentioned before but play turn based games, since you are basically poisoned by a now corrupted term that used to be an affectionate jab at Koreans. Your question is effectively asking why players should not be allowed to use any interface whatsoever after an arbitrary limit is reache from using that user interface. You think its just the mouse but most RTS players use keyboard shortcuts.
>>1058788>Execution is, in fact, strategyIt really isn't. Both are important in irl warfare, but they are different concepts.
>>1060099>timing the use of your tactics or strategy is not actually tactics or strategyAre you stupid?
>>1060102>execution is the same as timingAre you stupid?
>>1060115He ain't talking about executive management board meetings.
