Im talking about the perspective of a new player.
As a new player, I rolled on Termina easily, the only times I died were due to scripted traps or the Ambush being genuinly great.
The rest of the game is easy, you just pack a rifle or a pistol if you have Gunslinger and pick off limbs before a battle. Then you just roll on the game, later on you get the Leech Ring just by exploring a creepy mall with no dudes to attack you and from here you litterally have to try hard to be killed. Hell even any limb loss can be restored with a Sylvian circle. Who cares. The game is good, thats something I should've add, the first game is just harsher on a blind playthrough.
In the first game you can get easily ambushed, killed and smashed in a blind playthrough. You need a couple of playthrough to get the hang of it and its smooth sailing from here.

In Fear and Hunger the discussion stagnates and its all fanarts or character shipping, or degen discussion.

1) Pessimism - all mind loss is reduced by 5% for each 5 points out of unmodified max mind already lost. Once a twoday can delay "Fear of All" by 1 turn if reached 0 mind.

2) Strain Mind - once a twoday restore 10/20/30 mind at the cost of 5/10/15 max mind, %MATK increased by the amount of max mind lost. Lasts for 2 days since use.

3) "Dilletante" - can learn every skill in the hexen except "Savant" and secret ones withought fulfilling the requirement or unlocking previous skills needed to get to that skill; skills learned that way are automatically degraded to vastly inferior versions.

4) "Savant" - pick a single skill from the hexen except "Dilletante", "Synergy" and any secret skill even if you do not fulfill the requirements or haven't unlocked previous skills. That picked skill is acquired as vastly superior version of the original. After that, learning other skills requires both unlocking other skill trees and investing 5 soul stones per upgrade, unlocked skills are always inferior, as if unlocked with "Dilletante".

5) "Synergy" - all the acquired inferior skills are checked for possible combinations. Once a day, you can decide on a single combination and use its effects untill the end of that day.

Had a dream last night that I was leading an expedition to an island populated by Fear and Hunger esque abominations. One of them was a twisted version of a dummy used by artists for pose practice, with 4 legs, 8 arms, and a head that resembled a 3D astrolabe. It could rotate it's torso 360 degrees and would spin around rapidly, with each hand holding a giant birdcage made out of human limbs. Anyone so much as brushed by the cage would be trapped in it, unable to be released even after the creature's death as the cage was indestructible. The victim would eventually be assimilated into the cage, adding to its size and structure of limbs.
