You have a ton of freedom to do what you want in the game and just about any play style will work. The biggest hurdle is learning it and getting out of the beginning zone. I would recommend activating the crafting and herbalism giftbags. They both add quite a bit.

The last is player agency, which of course, decides the quality of RP.

I have just started this game and can't even get the tutorial.I mean, I guess I can "win" the tutorial, but I don't "get" why are things happening.Im in a ship full of prissoners, but Im told "hey, wake up sleepy, get upstair later" Im not supposed to be wandering around, but Im let to do whatever. I kill a guard, but no one checks anything. Im given the option of telling some boss what I did, I have no Idea if I should want to or not. Am I the good guy or the bad?There has been a killimg on the ship and all the prissoners are let loose? What? And they worry for the dead prissoner? And each individual prissoner is more powerful than the whole crew, except for a small necklace? Doesn't make any sense. Then the witch/killer says she will kill me and kills every other person except me? This whole story makes less sense than Diablo 3 story.
