The Atelier Marie remake will be only 10 hours long, will you still buy it?https://noisypixel.net/atelier-marie-remake-the-alchemist-of-salburg-10-hours-playtime/
>>296875810 hours is a perfectly fine length for an RPG. The gameplay, especially the combat's going to have to be a lot better than Atelier's standards to get me to buy it though.
Anyone got games comparison chart saying Atelier thighza, Atelier Puni DX, etc...
>>2968805
>>2968758The focus is on replayability differently from the recent games which are one and done.
>>2968920The game gives you plenty of time, and you can technically meet the requirements for every ending in a single playthrough as long as do them in the right order. So no, there's not a whole lot to replay it for.
>>2968758I've already preordered it on Play Asia.
>>2968758That's a virtue, not a flaw. I'm really tired of the current trend of game development aiming more towards long games that don't really justify their length.
Fuck guys, Koei is on a streak of releasing bad performance games as of now. I hope thighza won't have this issue upon release.
>>2969181Even in PS and Xbox? Not-so good PC performance is common in recent consumers though, also for Hogwart and Atomic Hearts.
>>2969181Do u guys not have PS? do u guys not have Xbox(or game pass)?
>>2969181The only game with overall good performance - graphics ratio was Ryza 1. Same resource usage as Firis - Lulua with way better lighting system, textures, maps and drawing distance. I really miss how fast Sophie 1 was

>>2969694It doesnt

I really, really like this box art. That's all.
>>2968758I'm about 45 hours into Firis and I'm kinda struggling to keep playing the game. The alchemy is more confusing than Sophie and I still really don't understand it. Quality, letter grade, components, traits, etc, it's not clear what I should be focusing on the make better stuff. Also the inventory management is shit since you have to talk to like 5 different merchants just to sell your excess materials.Chasing down random materials is getting boring, my gear is shit, the music is glitchy, and I barely passed the exam. I feel like I should just move onto Lydie and Suelle.
>>2969086>he doesn't have at least 100 hours to dump into every game to get the full experience
>>2970598Make the broom and the airship (Meklet & Atomina's questline) ASAP, then the underwater stuff (Flussheim).Honestly, Firis is a pretty easy game outside of the optional (reskinned) bosses, I beat all the bosses in character routes just by tossing bombs, you don't need to make any try hard gear.Pro-tip: Ori bomb is bugged and does MORE damage than Peta bomb (its supposed upgrade) and Ori bomb can be learned really early on, so just spam it everywhere. Lightning Crystals are also good as they delay the enemy's turn. Some spreadsheets and guides if you're really struggling:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-87f2iIPaG7axMriK0TuYEKT_4yue5DB0oJ7jJNta6k/https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WL9pW4VGLlkiWBGpaCIJB41NiVeNU6uhPNAymK96DSc/https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/190844-atelier-firis-the-alchemist-and-the-mysterious-journey/faqs/75906Lydie & Suelle references ALL of the post-exam events, just so you know, so I recommend following the above guide and completing all character routes. You need to complete most of them to unlock the true ending anyway.

As we know Lydie & Suelle and Lulua are basically the same game but reskinned. But anyone else think their OST is too much similar?Maybe Im just being schizo or everyone already thought about it but most of their themes are either too similar or were made into a comfy version (L&S) and intense/epic version (Lulua)For example L&S Sunflower sounds too much like Lulua Axis and Kalma sounds like an intense fast paced remix of Shooting star for Lydie and Suelle.Im pretty sure Cygnus is some kind MARIA remix toohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbN33OHtL2Ahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nv_secowCUhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MKwpw7edqYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOBm3ust_Ps

Are the remakes/updated rereleases for Atelier games objectively better?I am planning on going through the franchise based on release order.
>>2972452https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh4P9Lzplfg
>>2972487There's only 2 big remakes in the franchise, Atelier Rorona (PS3 original VS Plus/DX version) and Atelier Marie (PS1/PS2 VS New remake yet to come out), everything else is just ports OR version with all DLC included + some little bonus (most games that end with "DX" are basically this).I don't recommend going in release order... at least not from the very beginning, there are some reasons for this, like how the original Marie is kinda vague and not the kind of game that will make you hooked in the franchise (remake might fix it though), then there's the PS2 era where Atelier essentially became a different franchise with a different kind of appeal before it returned to its roots with Atelier Rorona and the games that followed. If you want to follow an order, then I recommend starting with Rorona and working your way up, then you can check out the remakes of the classics that are starting to come out like Marie Remake.

What is anon's favorite alchemist staff?I've surprisingly never seen this topic come up in an Atelier thread
>>2974101Why does an alchemist need a staff? They aren't magicians.
>>2974107You can use them to stir the alchemist cauldrons old style and as a walking stick to get fast through any terrain. There are time limits after all.Possibly more
>>2974101My favorite staff is guns akimbo.
>>2974101Shallotte's broomstick.
>>2974101I like Firis's staff because it's linked to her backstory (ore autism).BTW, is it ever explained anywhere why the protagonists have access to powerful magical spells even before they learn any alchemy? E.g. Ryza is a sorceress right at the start of her game, even before she gets a cauldron.
>>2974344Haven't played Ryza, but aside from Dusk I don't think they really tried to explicitly separate alchemy and magic.Marie already had mentions of some kind of natural magic reserves, and it's reflected in gameplay where using ANY item with any character took MP. Meaning everyone has some of that energy, with alchemists having more, and the reason for that is once again reflected in synthesis where MP is used. Although the special attacks did not use MP at all, so it may not make as much sense as I'm trying to make it seem.Funnily enough, despite Atelier Sarasa's author claiming they'd never played Atelier before (hard to believe but hey), it also makes it very clear that its alchemy runs entirely on magic.
>>2974107>They aren't magiciansPretty much every Atelier protag can use magic to some degree so they kinda are.

Some people I have seen complain that the game has annoying synth level requirements... but I never really experienced that when I played it totally blind a few weels ago. The snow alchemist had some high level shit to make sure but she seems to be the last one you would naturally come across so my alch levels were already really highThe game has issues, sure, they all do. Ryza 3 is coming closer and I feel 0 desire to play it. I thought with time I might get more interested, but after the absolute disaster of 1 dragging down 2 indirectly while 2 itself was also lackluster, I think this will be my first Atelier I'll skip. Having played all since Iris, it's sad, but what can I do. I already put up with the absolutely unneeded Ryza 2, and Sophie 2. At some point I gotta draw a line. Thanks for reading the blog.
>>2978190It's the first 100% seamless open world Atelier game, worth playing just to see how that's gonna work out. You can climb that mountain, you can ride dolphins and shit, could be fun, even though I can't stand Ryza as a character. Still boggles the mind Gust can shit out an open world JRPG in just 1 year.No way I'm actually spending money on it though, fuck KT's new regional pricing (i.e. the lack of there of). Good thing these games don't have Denuvo.
>>2978190I have zero hype for the story and cast, they just became really boring to me with no new protagonist nor change in the main cast since the first game, but I'm really interested in them returning to the open world formula. Having Sophie 2 in the meantime, Marie remake on the horizon and the promise that it's the final Ryza game helps a lot.
Is this place the biggest hatejerk for Ryza? Nowhere else hates her games and cast as much as this.
>>2978198They moslty her Ryza because her games are unironically the most family friendly ones with less fanservice ever. They also love Arland trilogy for this very reason
>>2978198Most people discussing Ryza elsewhere have only played Ryza and thus don't have any frame of reference. I mean, she's literally the blandest Atelier MC so far, with no defining personality traits whatsoever, they made her as inoffensive as possible.
>>2978182>redditStay there
How serious is this time limit in Firis?
>>2978216Very lenient, you can get to the objective with months to spare. If you're playing DX you even have outfits that make time go slower when you explore or synthesize.
>>2978216One of the most lax in the series, I haven't heard of anyone actually failing it (everyone seems to get to Reisenberg with 100+ days left over). The only real time sink is building the ship to cross the lake (will take a couple months), once you're done with that part feel free to sit back and relax. The time limit is also removed completely in the second half of the game (and there's still a LOT of content left to do). However, I highly recommend failing it on purpose as soon as you're able to, this will throw you into NG+ and it's important because it will give you NG+ bonuses, mainly having all costume effects active AT ONCE, thus removing the crappy mechanic of switching costumes depending on what you want to do (crafting, gathering, traveling etc).Basically, once you're out of the tutorial area, set up the tent and sleep for roughly 270 days (in the chunks of 10). Place some bombs etc in the furniture slots to give you an edge in NG+, they're the only items that carry over.
>>2978213Made you appreciate a plebbit meme, can't take that back!
>>2978198Not hating on Ryza, just not giving a shit about her games. I don't need yet another fucking action rpg. I picked up Sophie 2 specifically because it was turnbased. And I certainly don't want a fucking open world rpg, and not just because the latest Pokemon games completely soured me on open worlds either. Ryza series seems to be offering up all the things I don't want out of jrpgs.
>>2978226Damn, yall got this firis shit locked down. I didn't do any of that when I played itAlso who tf is that ginger in the picture, I don't remember her. Was she the test giver in the end?
>>2978288That's the mayor of Reisenberg, she has a lot of events in the post-exam half of the game.https://atelier.fandom.com/wiki/Edel_Hangstein
>>2978208I don't think I'd call Ryza bland, but she's a lot more boring in the second game than the first. The summary calls her "ordinary, but wild and stubborn with a strong sense of justice" but that wild and stubborn side sort of disappeared in the second game. She just comes off as a good girl going around helping people in town while she was more of an endearing reckless brat in the first game.
>>2978573I blame the new writer

>>2978662I doubt she'll fully go back to her personality from the first game since everyone else has grown a lot and they don't have to be pushed around anymore. The tone also seems more serious.
>>2978803she's poor and can't afford more clothing. Less cloth makes her clothing cheaper.

Starting to play the Dusk trilogy with the green alchemist's game, but my autism is weighing on my mind. There's no real world time limit so I can take my time really slowly, right? And if I fail to get the good endings, what happens mechanics wise? NG+ with stuff I've unlocked, or do I have to start entirely from scratch?
>>2978875Were you ashamed of your words and deeds?
>>2979193>There's no real world time limit so I can take my time really slowly, right?Yes, time only passes by in-game days on the world map when you travel from an area to another, and it tells you how much time will pass, when you synthesize something, and by chunks of a day when you're in an area and gather or battle enemies. You can eventually create items to reduce the time necessary for some of these activities, plus shortcuts on the world map and the ability to swap party members from the menu so time management gets even easier.>And if I fail to get the good endings, what happens mechanics wise? NG+ with stuff I've unlocked, or do I have to start entirely from scratch?Yeah, you can carry over money and equipment.

firis is fat edition
>>2979213Yes, but I wouldn't worry as you have a lot of time to get the good ending. Your objective is to find a bunch of different flowers around the world and there are more than you need. They're all clearly marked as story quests and wherever you are you'll run into some. You just have to avoid wasting too much time by running back and forth without a goal. What you might not be able to do is some of the character storylines or all the requisites for the true ending, but those are usually meant for NG+ once you already know most of what you have to do.

Heintz and Revy have purportedly joined my party in Firis but nothing's showing up in the party menu, what gives.
>>2979501Cute and canon!
>>2979621I was lost too. You find them inside the inn and taverns
>>2979621So firis is dogshit at explaining this but they are now "joinable" party members but not actually in your party. You must go to a town's inn or bar to then put them in your party. And yes check both locations as not everyone will be in the inn, and not everyone will be in the bar( I keep saying bar but I think tavern is what they actually call it)Also you can only have so many party members. The game is obnoxiously limited in that sense, and for no real good reason wither since there is SO much room in your portable atelier
>>2979631To add to thisIf a party member is not "equipped" into your party and just at the inn or tavern, they will not get xpSplitting with them to hire another will just send them back to an inn or tavern.Of anything I can critique about firis, it's this party systemIt makes no sense and is a little obnoxiousNot bad enough to ruin the game, but bad enough to be. Amild inconvenience for no real reason
>>2979631>>2979632What's worse, Liane can't be kicked out of the tent, and after the exam, Sophie & Plachta also become permanent party members, so you only get 3 slots for the rest (the tent can only hold 7 people, while the game has 12 party members total including Firis herself). So leveling them all up becomes a bit of a chore. Each of the party members has their own story culminating in a boss fight and an ending (some even have two). But yeah, once someone joins your party, they don't actually join the party, they will be chilling at the nearest inn or tavern. You recruit them in like, say, Octopath Traveler.

The whole town looks down on her for being a troublemaker. Ryza herself is pretty snarky whenever her temper is pushed. Her only yesman is Klaudia who is super nice to everyone and ladylike, but she's often treated like "one of the guys".This is definitely dialed back in Ryza 2, but it looks like the banter is back in Ryza 3 where Tao and Bos dunk on her for nearly getting raped by monsters.

Even FGO got swimsuit event in 2022 toned down compared to 2021, while Azur lane gets bikini returned. And BA gets lots of bikinis. I cannot understand why Japan still has Freedom house score of 96. It should be 9. And China should have higher freedom house score for having no feminists and LGBT which are the shackles of creativity. And Yoon have liberated Korea from feminism to have lots of bikinis in BA. While Kishida is male feminist slave of Feminist NPOs.
>>2980833That's why China censors less than Japan now. I thought Japan as AEUG, China as Neo Zeon, Korea as Titans. But Japan is Titans, China is AEUG, Korea is Karaba, West is Neo Zeon now. China has no feminist. China never bans advertising anime girl in street or station. Unlike Japan, where anime girl advertisment on street or station always get blown up by feminist complaints. For half of Japanese female population are feminists and Kishida is slave of feminist NPOs who banned porn from Japan by the new law. They(PM Kishida's pronoun) banned bikini from anime in 2022 summer.
>>2980897I regret to side on Japan, for Having freedom house score of 96. But I have got betrayed for Japan turned into Feminist hell where half of female population(24-36 mill) are feminist while China has no feminists and LGBT. Just like Char who believed that AEUG will fight for Spacenoid right but despaired at them fallen to Earthling's slave after Gryps war and Revolted against his Former allies. And Shinn Asuka who joined Alien troops and fought against Earthlings but got mind broken by Athrun and Destiny Plan of Gilbert, the Alien leader in Seed destiny.
>meet certified alchemist>immediately ask for a letter of recommendationFiris is an entitled brat!
>>2980922How far did you get? Most alchemists actually tell her to fuck right off and work for it.
>>2980815>constantly going "firis is so cute today!" constantly through the game"Firis is cute today too" is one of the most memeable lines in the game, it's pretty popular in the community.
>>2980971I like how much of an asshole the alchemist in the desert cliff area is
>>2980976I just don't get why her sister is SO into firis.Maybe it's a cultural thing I just don't get, in Japan brother sister bonds are stronger than over here.Fucjing hate my brother, I'd call him an ugly pos over saying he's a handsome snack wit a bag o chips
>>2980983It's just yuri baiting, and it makes more sense when you complete Liane's story in Firis.
>>2980992It would have been extremely hot incest if Firis was a boy.
Firis is canonically Ilmeria's wife.
>>2981067Yes.(Pic related is an actual spoiler, not porn.)
>>2981078Liane will spend every day staring into Firis and Ilmeria's atelier from outside the window.

When will the next atelier game be released?
>>2982176Next weekIf you reply with "buhhhhhhh ryza isn't a REAL atelier game" I will curse you and your parents. Yes, backwards in the family line cause I know you won't have children
>>2981479why is that library in space
>>2982112I'm guessing it's this scene when you first see them
>>2982195Ryza isn't even an Atelier game though, let alone a real one.:^)
Firis is very cute edition on hardware
>>2982723Its been 3 years and a half and 3 games since Ryza 1 and people are still seething lmao
>>2982775Well, it's not wine and not going to get any better after 3 or 30 years.
>>2982775Good thing Japan isn't as retarded as some of these people
Tell me about Sophie. Why does she wear the whale necklace?
Ilmeria's cauldron, the comfiest Atelier location.
>>2982799It was from her grandma.
>>2982755i see thats a pink underwear mod, but i gotta be honest i thought there was another more insidious mod at play
>>2982809maybe its an optional scene i never saw, but why the fuck was this never brought up in sophie 2? sophie and ramizel wear the same whale necklace in the game
>>2982901In Sophie 2 she says her grandma gave her her whale necklace she used to wear. It makes sense seeing young Ramizel wearing. This happens when shes asked about her grandma
>ywn have a threesome with Sophie and young Ramizelwhy live
>>2982959im just curious why ramizel never went " hey is that the necklace im wearing right now?"it would have been a pretty decent plat pull for ramizel seeing a connection as sophie being related to her in some way rather than the comedic reveal we got in game
Recommended materials for alchemy level grinding for Lydie & Suelle?
>>2982898I pulled the white frill covering her clevage down a little and added some skindentation. Tasteful coomerism, not too lewd.
>>2983021I forget if that game in particular is like this, but in a bunch of the games you get a fixed amount of exp for the first craft of an item and a scaling amount based on the level any other time you craft it. So just making one of everything is usually the best way to get exp, otherwise you want stuff with a fairly high alchemy level requirement. Quality and such doesn't matter at all.
>animeoh wow
>>2983171I just found out about the Escha & Logy anime too, does anyone know if you need to play the game first to enjoy it? I haven't done Dusk yet.

>>2983541Its not common paper but Zettel
>>2983593Because the model was hot.
>>2983593Did Ryza's world had firearms?
>>2983629no playable character had them in ryza 1 or 2. which is strange i wonder whyi would have assumed clifford would at least have a gun but no he had a boomerang.i think ryza wants to be more fantasy than modern. which is why klaudia has a bow. but if klaudua had a gun? and would reload it like those lever action guns where you can swing it in a circle to reload it? would have been sick. would have been COOL
The Mysterious games had a lot of gun users, guns were even a generic sidearm that could be equipped on several party members in Firis (you can dual wield in Firis, the second weapon gives you an additional set of skills).
>>2983674its very surreal seeing Ilmeria just whip out a gun
>>2983337Ryza's been whoring out Patty and Klaudia and they don't want to join in.
>>2983629IIRC Ryza 3 censor rating noted gun wielding
I just made Philospher stones on Lydie & Suelle. Did I just fuck up and got locked out of normal ending?
>>2983849It's impossible to get locked out of the normal ending. Just keep playing, don't look at the guides.
>>2983651>clifford would at least have a gun but no he had a boomerangClifford is an adventurer.Guns are useless when wet and as a adventurer he surely gets soaked often. Not to mention materials needed for maintenance and ammunition would be hard to find in long adventures without taking too much extra baggage.
>>2983593Cute incredibly obscure yuri.
>>2983849You can still make Plachta human body aka true end.
>>2983849You can simply get rid of it if you wish to see the regular ending. There's no way to lock yourself out of any ending.
I want to give a little heads-up to anyone getting the Atelier Marie remake on PlayAsia for how it will most likely work in regards to DLC. I got the Asia English release of another Koei Tecmo game, Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, which is the same deal as Marie with a Digital Deluxe Edition and a separate Digital Deluxe Upgrade you can purchase if you only have the base game. The game is in English, but it's not the same version as the one in the US/EU eShops, and tying to get the Upgrade from those doesn't work. I had to make a new account to access the Hong Kong eShop, get an HK eShop card on PlayAsia and buy the Digital Deluxe Upgrade from there. It does also work as DLC for the physical release despite the name and everything works properly. That's for Switch at least, I don't know if accessing the HK PlayStation Store is as simple.
>>2984054Aren't they sisters too? Double forbidden.
>>2983651Would Ryza's world had lost tech like Mata nui? Clint Kingdom being perished reminds me of Metru nui being Fucked up by Spiders and Makuta who disguised as Chief here.
>>2984541Nah it's normal.
>>2984700I can't find fault with this at all.
>>2984700this was a yuri bait incest fetish scenethere was no reason to have this in the gamesame with every interaction firis has with her creepy ass sister in this game too
>>2983953maybe he should have had a bow instead of klaudia, and let klaudia have a rifle
guys i tried having an atelier marathon before ryza 3beat ryza 1 and 2, beat sophie, beat firis, beat sophie 2.im wanting to drop lydie and suelle right now. the game is fun, but i cant tell if im just sick of the atelier grind or if the game isnt as good as the others and just a middling experiencei think i need to retract myself from this venture, so i can play ryza 3 with a fresh palate
>>2984957You will sick of alchemy level grinding soonFuck Sophie asking for philosopher stonesThe whole game is fucking grindy regarding this aspect too
>>2984960it was strange asking for not only a philospher stone but one with a specific maxed out category in sophie 2, and a high level plachta synth level too at thatall which have their own chains of recipe unlocks that are decently out of the way that its common you would have not natrually came to get them. like needing a specific material that only drops from an event monster given from the pavilion? very strange design choices
I'd like to pick up some of the newer Atelier games. My favorite games so far were Totori, Meruru, Ayesha and Mana Khemia 1. E&L and Shallie bored me to tears; no sense of urgency, didn't like the characters all that much either. Should I go for Sophie's or Ryza's series first?
>>2984987sophie 1 is boring as shit but sophie 2 is greatryza is across the board pretty good but 2 is worse than 1
>>2984987Aside Sophie 2 the Mysterious series is grindy and boring for too much. They heavily rely on yuribaitingRyza 1 is great starting point and enjoyable game. Do note QOL like monsters and chest on map are locked behind craftable items and Ryza 2 plot/story is DLC content made into a game. Gameplay and QOL are a huge upgrade from Ryza 1, same on Sophie 2 and now on Ryza 3
>>2984952>a yuri bait incest fetish sceneThis sounds like a pretty good reason to have it in the game.
>>2984987>no sense of urgencyTime limits don't come back (I mean, it comes back in Firis but it's VERY lenient), so yeah don't expect that from the games again unless it's a remake like the upcoming Atelier Marie.Maybe the next trilogy could incorporate some elements (a recent interview did say they were going to make the next games based on the reception of Ryza 3 and Marie Remake) but I wouldn't fantasize too much just yet.
>ctrl + f "yuribait" / "yuri bait">4 resultsYou just know it's always the same woman/letter soup person seething.Probably the same person melting over "I want Sterk to fuck me".

>We had the opportunity to interview the Head of GUST, Junzo Hosoi, to get some questions answered about the series and some insight on the upcoming conclusion of the Ryza trilogy with the release of Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key. Of course, one of our questions asked if there was any truth to the fan theory that Ryza and Klauda are more than friends.>Hosoi-san replied, “I think the fans have various feelings towards Ryza, Klaudia and the other characters. The image we as the developers have of these characters is based completely on what we have delivered in the game, so it is very interesting to hear what kind of impression players have to the characters based on information about the game or after playing the game.”
>>2985801Translation:>next question please
>>2985824More like "uh, that wasn't in the game, but you do you I guess"
>>2985019>Mysterious series is grindy and boring for too much. >>2983731Guns are the pinnacle of alchemy when you think about it.
>>2985801Didn't they ask before if Gust would release a Ryza dating sim where you could date Klaudia? Why are they like this?
>>2985826Not really, it's a pretty clear and predictable non-answer.
>>2985863Should they sacrifice their reputation just to be "based?" Have we learned nothing from the Tales fiasco?
>>2985876I'm not trying to imply anything at all, just saying it how it is. It's Gust, they won't commit in games and sure as hell won't commit in a random interview, but they're not oblivious.
I wish it wasn't chibi. The 2D art is gorgeous
I will never understand why you guys some kind of romance in those games.Romance isn't the main appeal in Atelier games, not to mention Gust can't into romance.First Night of Azure and second Blue Reflection is good example, where it felt forced and pointless.
>>2985948That's like your opinion man. Blue Reflection 2 was just fine. Nights of Azure was shit, but that's hardly a Gust game anyways. The only Gust is the music. The team behind it was a different dev studio they just let work under the Gust brand for reasons beyond me. They did Deception games before. To be honest, it's hard to know what's Gust nowadays anyways. They have different teams by now.
damn brat
>>2985948If you mean Yuki and Rena, I thought it was really well done.
ryza's ost is so goddamn comfy. and its like only ryza 1. ryza 2 doesnt hit the same beats.ryza 1 has a nostalgic somberness to it, like a summer's end in childhood
>>2985834>Firis ends up with different men.She only romances Heintz (DLC only) and their relationship was retconned by Ilmeria in Lydie and Suelle>twins are sexually attracted to the prince and the male alchemistSuelle only teases Mathis and Lydie would sell her body for anyone able to feed her if not by Suelle intervention. Its more like poverty escapism when you think about it>Mysterious series is the most hetero to date. You cant be serious

Ryza was a mistake
>>2986157Surprised this didn't happen sooner. It's fun to have another Atelier anime (I mean, we did have Sarasa but that doesn't quite count).I can already imagine /a/ trying to discuss this:>Where's the fanservice? So, do you guys think 12 episodes for each game is reasonable? They could end this in like 3 seasons.
>>2986180The shitposters are already using Bos to shitpost. Just like in here.
>>2986185Bos and Ryza have great chemistry desu, but nothing will ever happen because it's Atelier
>>2986148Studio Gokumi actually does good work. The whole: "The studio is immediately indicative of how the anime will turn out" meme needs to end. It all depends on the staff at hand for that project and a fucking bullshit dice roll on circumstances for luck. I'm still amazed they'll release 20+ costumes, but you fight only like 6 enemy types in each game. Priorities, man...
>>2986126Probably sailor suit. Just like yellow Sophie 1 outfit on Sophie 2
>>2986180Not big soup rice. Koei care about China so Ryza anime will be available in Bilibili...

>Gust soon won't be able to blatantly abuse their lightning in a bottle anymore>Sophie is still the fan favorite somehow, but they already gave her a filler game>any remakes will be low effort and low budget, so for bigger games they probably won't go back further than Arland at this point>an extra Arland game has already been made, and another one would have no impactSo, what's next? Mysterious 4? Ryza 1.5? A start of an actual new trilogy that goes all in on "wider audience" pandering and turns the series into generic JPRG for 5+ years until they decide to reboot it with another notSalburg?
>>2986180I think you meant Lent's dad
>>2986783Start of a new trilogy and don't believe anything else.Since they're remaking Marie, I think they'll carry some oldschool cues to the new trilogy, maybe not in the form of time limit but in the form of vibes.
>>2986783I really wanted to see an atelier series where they dabble their own homeland and see how they tackle the cultural and socio-economic aspects of the game; for example, how they will integrate the alchemy with the Japanese culture. If they are willing to give it a go, I would like to see it in the Sengoku period or the Bakumatsu era, when the western powers arrived in Japan.
>>2986794They're remaking Marie just because everyone's remaking everything nowadays. They're even adding a time-limitless mode to it, even though just adding some basic QoL (like exp share) to the original would already make it extremely easy.
>>2986813I think the free time mode is actually interesting because it's the first time ever that they explored this concept, it could mean getting time limits back in the main games without ruining it for the casuals (though I still think it's unlikely that it will show up).
>>2986816I don't think it's that interesting, they just know they'd get shit for removing it entirely. It would take more effort to make a modern Atelier that supports both without one or the other being an afterthought.
>>2986823>It would take more effort to make a modern Atelier that supports both without one or the other being an afterthought.I imagine the No Time Limit playing like an Arland game but no matter how much you move/enter areas/sleep/synthesize time only passes when you allow it, like they give you the option to scroll to skip any X number of days while highlighting that certain events happen with exclamation points (maybe even forcing you to see main story events so you can't really skip like half year at once, or if it's a game with recurring requests like Rorona you can only skip until the time limit of that request is over). So really, it would be a time limit game with the No Time Limit mode being an afterthought, I can't really imagine a system that accommodates both without some degree of weirdness to it (in this case, skipping time essentially becomes a "next event please" button).
