Good evening /vrpg/, The Steam Autumn sale has begun.Post carts and ask for/give recommendations!>https://steam250.com/Nice resource for better filtering than the default steam UI.
I have not paid for computer game in well over a decade and I do not intend to change that.
I heard that popular Skyrim game is on sale. I also heard that it's pretty good, you should buy two copies.
It seems that SaGa Scarlet Grace is on sale. Should I go for it? The only other SaGa game i played was RS2The other RPGs that I wanted to buy on sale (Fear & Hunger and Crystal Project) aren't on sale. Might go for King Arthur: Knight's Tale if they fixed the performance on the Steam DeckMy other games in the cart aren't RPGs
>>2858774Yeah, imo RS2 is the most similar to Scarlet Grace, in that they both want longer playthroughs with less replayability, have great well fleshed out combat and are pretty difficult. As avant-garde as RS2 is, Scarlet Grace manages to be even more whacky mechanically while still being satisfying.
Recc me some rpg gems that play well on deck
>>2858745>mfw Steam sales have been utter shit ever since they removed flash salesDiscounts are absolutely not worth it anymore.
>>2858857Trails of Cold Steel
Is Wasteland 3 worthwhile if you hated every single character in Wasteland 2?
>>2858862Flash sales werw fun but the real problems is that devs/publishers are all "You will take the 10% discount that is offered AND YOU WILL LIKE IT!" fuckers now
Wasteland 1 is only $1.https://store.steampowered.com/app/259130/Wasteland_1__The_Original_Classic/Fallout 1 is only $2.49.Wizardry 7 is only $3.74.https://store.steampowered.com/app/245430/Wizardry_7_Crusaders_of_the_Dark_Savant/Kingmaker is only $8.https://store.steampowered.com/app/640820/Pathfinder_Kingmaker__Enhanced_Plus_Edition/Brigand: Oaxaca is only $3.59.https://store.steampowered.com/app/652410/Brigand_Oaxaca/Knights of the Chalice is only $13.99.https://store.steampowered.com/app/1083760/Knights_of_the_Chalice/Grimwah is only $1.https://store.steampowered.com/app/650670/Grimoire__Heralds_of_the_Winged_Exemplar_V2/Grimrock is only $4.49.https://store.steampowered.com/app/207170/Legend_of_Grimrock/Underrail is only $12.00.https://store.steampowered.com/app/250520/UnderRail/Arx Fatalis is only $2.https://store.steampowered.com/app/1700/Arx_Fatalis/Baldur's Gate 1 is only $6.https://store.steampowered.com/app/228280/Baldurs_Gate_Enhanced_Edition/Gorky 17 is only $2.https://store.steampowered.com/app/253920/Gorky_17/Darklands is only $4.54.https://store.steampowered.com/app/327930/Darklands/Expeditions: Conquistador is only $5.https://store.steampowered.com/app/237430/Expeditions_Conquistador/Elminage Gothic is only $2.https://store.steampowered.com/app/291960/Elminage_Gothic/Dungeon Rats is only $1.24.https://store.steampowered.com/app/531930/Dungeon_Rats/Age of Decadence is only $3.24.https://store.steampowered.com/app/230070/The_Age_of_Decadence/>>2860575No.
>>2861202>Kingmaker is only $8.Is the bundle with the DLCs worth it or is the base game good enough?
>>2861267Hmm, now that I think of it, no, definitely would not play this without Wildcard and Beneath. Both pad out the main campaign. The bundle is cheaper than buying both seperately, so I guess its *only* $14.
Squad-based strategy games while I wait for Rogue Trader?
>>2858858is this actually good? I've been thinking of getting it
>>2861346Not him but yes, just be aware that it's a constant loop of an hour of cutscenes and maybe some exploration and an hour of playing the game.
>>2858862real problem is base prices never seem to go down anymore. so no matter what discount they apply you never feel like you're getting a good deal.
>>2861346yeah, it is very different but pretty much as good as tactics ogre, which is ridiculous if you consider that we had like a decade where no srpg came close to that level after FFTA2 in 2008. Not that it isn't in some ways flawed like these games, but I take a flawed gem over a polished crowd pleaser in the srpg genre every day
>>2861346Its veerrryy exposition and cut scene heavy
>>2858772Already did, anon. One for me, one for my unborn son. Deluxe edition of course. Great recommendation!
>>2861267You need the double slut sandwich to make it shine.
>>2861346I liked it in the moment but I don't think I would go back to play it now.
>>2861524Weirdly why I've slowly moved away from steam. Sellers don't want one or two copies of some weird RPG or strategy game just lying about in their warehouse, so you actually see price decreases on physical games. You get a physical game AND you get current-day Steam sale prices if you just wait. The only problem is that physical PC is dead, but you can't really live only on PC if you like both wrpgs and jrpgs anyways.
>>2861821You generally can, if you factor in emulators. You can just emulate Switch, and PS5 has no games
>>2861824I suppose, didn't really think about that in a sales discussion thread though.
bump for rpgs
>>2861821>but you can't really live only on PC if you like both wrpgs and jrpgs anyways.I don't know, I'd say you can for the most part. Japanese publishers are onboard with PC these days.
>>2861821>if you like both wrpgs and jrpgs anyways.which important jrpg is not on steam? I find that most console games are for literal 8 year olds like xeno, persona, final fantasy, etc
>>2863212I am serious. It has one of the best job systems around, which makes it an important jrpg, regardless of its setting/storyIt's trivial to emulate, sure, but it's not on steam
>>2858774All SaGa games are great, SG for less than 10 bucks is a steal considering how many hours you can sink on it, if you liked how varied RS2 was in terms of questlines and choices you'll be blown away by SG.
>>2863214>It has one of the best job systems aroundNo it doesn't lol, its just a really bad version of wizardry's class system.
Anything to recommend for a Disco Elysium enjoyer
Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children is 50% off, which makes it less than a tenner in british rupees. I have over 500 hours on it so yeah I guess I recommend it. First DLC is free anyway.
>>2861338Er, Troubleshooter. I should've put that in my last post.
>>2863286the strong bad point and click adventure game
>>2863286>Anything to recommend for a Disco Elysium enjoyerbetter taste
Are Grandia I/II Remastered worth it? They look fun
>>2863310Was that Peasant Quest?
Buy Grim Dawn, it's good shit
>>2863355Gotcha, I'll play the originals, then.
