It's the better of the 2 games but it kinda drags at times.
Also the classic balancing for the New Kid are all over the place. Mage and Thief are both really good but at the same time their entire kit is built around just buffing their very first skill, nothing else. They're very strong but kinda boring to play. Jew has good moves but you don't unlock his full funcionality until near the end of the game. Warrior is the only class that feels like every ability has a useful application.
>>2728142Not a RPG. But knowing South Park, it might be a 200 IQ satire on how normies perceive what a RPG is; numbers and a fantasy theme.
>>2728192South Park is low IQ.
>>2728142terrible, a south park game should be a platformer or a co-op arena brawler, what the fuck were they thinking?
>>2728142It was pretty fun. Don't expect more out of it than what it is. It's a game about a cartoon. If you're expecting a min-maxing hardcore super challenge through a glorious intricate oddysey then you're just being stupid.
>>2728142It's a casual RPG, but that's intentional. It's meant first and foremost for the fans of the show and the easter eggs in it, plus being able to explore the town, make it worth the play time. I don't like how the second half of the game becomes more plot heavy. I would've preferred if the entire game was just mini-plots with the overarching story about the kids playing fantasy tying it all together.
>>2728142its bretty good
>>2728142it's garbage, the only way to enjoy it if you are a fan of the show, but only low IQ redditors and chuds think South Park is good
>>2728199Dude are you in gay porn?
>>2728142It’s no more an RPG than darkest dungeon is. Also, its way too easy to make an absolutely broken character.Toward the end, I was 1-shotting almost every enemy.
>>2728142Difficulty crumbles to dust towards the end but it's one of the best adaptions of a TV show to a videogame ever created.
>>2728192If anything, normies perceive it as RP.The autist knows the real purpose of RPGs is the numbers.
>>2728142shit RPG but awesome interactive SP special
>>2728491spotted the retard
>>2728142Really good, but too easy
>>2728829>t. Reddit Park chud
It's a neat licensed game. Perhaps not a good RPG, but a good licensed game
>>2729301>chudNot him, South Park has always been subversive anti-tradition anti-white Jewish trash for "American" conservatives which never fit any conventional definition of the word in the first place.
>>2728491>a political ideology from the last century is my whole identitywow what a great life you have
>>2728142Better than the second game... but then again, it doesn't have this song, which is lit af.https://youtu.be/tujcQXXK5Qo
>>2728142I liked it so much I platinumed it. Wish it had a secret boss or 2. I was actually not a fan of the 2nd game.
>>2729489>>2729492The second game would be more fun if the combat were faster. I criticized the first for being too easy and uninvolved only to realize as I played the second that it worked for the game, because quick combat lets you get in and out of fights fast and progress the story at a good rate. Slow combat made everything drag and makes jokes seem less connected because instead of one quick fight between them its more like two or three minutes of grid combat.South Park operates in that kind of uncanny valley where everything has to move fairly quickly so you don't dwell too much on any one thing and can just keep rolling with each new joke. Slowing it all down even a small amount breaks the flow too much. And the annoying thing on top of all that is the new combat isn't really much better than the previous game when you get right down to it. It's got more options and is slightly more difficult, but its still easy and you still usually default to one or two spam skills and an ultimate. It was fun to have a larger party though.
>>2729445true but chuds grew up with Reddit Park so they are blinded by nostalgia from seeing it for what it is just look at their sense of humor and the way they type on this site, it's heavily influenced by Reddit Park all those chuds are Cartman wannabes
>>2729519play on Mastermind, then try to make the same post
>>2729520>chuds Go back
>>2728491>uses tranny-speak>dislikes South ParkChecks out.
>>2729553NTA but playing on the hardest difficulty on either game doesn't do much in to make it actually challenging.
>>2729757>>2729794>t. Reddit Park chuds and r/atheism users
>>2729847As if anyone calling out trannies would be associated with plebbit. KYS 41%er.
>>2728491>chuds think South Park is goodnope it's gone to shit since they started catering to woketards
>>2729854it was shit from the first episode you idiot
>>2728142Extremely boring game.
>>2728142its good i enjoyed itofc it has its flaws but i still recommend it
>>2728142babies first RPG. not to say its bad. in fact, its pretty good since it sets out what it wants to do and do so perfectly. felt like you were part of an south park episode.
>>2729553For the first game? I don't recall what the difficulties were called but I did that one on the hardest and its only tough for the first couple fights before you've unlocked things and the aliens if you rush the story. I didn't do the second on a harder difficulty yet, but I'll give it a shot I guess. I was concerned it would just make the combat take longer kinda like the first game though.
>>2728142honestly better than every jrpg the last 20 yrs
>>2728142Played it, it's fine. Gets old faster than milk.
>>2729847Actually fucking kill yourself. Buzzword ideologically possessed retard.
>>2732009>t. butthurt chud
Gameplay wise it can become a bit of a drag but by fuck it was comfy
>>2728142like a 4/10. the rpg mechanics felt terribly balanced iirc kyles skill would just one shot everything. I dont really remember the story and I unfortunately still have several seasons of south park memorized for some reason so I guess that means it was bad. Plus it felt like they took every opportunity to pointlessly jam references in the setting which I guess wouldn't be so bad if it werent for the fact that they're largely from nu-southpark which you dont want to think about.
>>2728142Only watched the playthrough. I would never play it but it seemed entertaining for what it is.Tried watching the superhero one but that one appears to be trash.
>>2729854S 3 to 9 was good, and the first continuity season were decent, but the post Trump season got carried by Kyle dad and they dropped it to focus on weed and China
>>2736051I lol'd when Kyle's dad killed Winnie the pooh
>>2728142The spinning the analog sticks mechanic broke my fucking controller
>>2728142One of the best licensed games of all time, but it's biggest (and only) merit is the South Park content, its not exactly a masterwork otherwise
>>2728144How can it drag when it can be completed in an afternoon?
>>2729519The banter during fights was top-tier, at least.
>>2738378Fight banter was good in both, it just works better when you don't hear it quite so much. In the second you hear it a lot more because fights are longer.
>>2729962This.Stick of Truth is a slightly above mediocre game overall, but it's a fucking masterpiece as a game that sets realistic goals, and meets them exactly as intended or better. It set out to make a game that played like an episode or arc of South Park, and it feels that way. It set out to have straightforward RPG mechanics reminiscent of Paper Mario, while doing its own thing, and it succeeded. This is the kind of game that should be studied by indie developers. No feature bloat or kitchen sink syndrome, quirks exist for as long as they need to then leave when they're done, it has its own identity on top of what it references, it doesn't shoot for the moon, it shoots for a tall building, and hits a tall building dead on, and has detailwork done to a degree that you know the game and project was loved.
>>2729854well, looks like the show runners can't really fight against the nature of their race can they
>>2738378Only part I liked about 2 was Cartmen, what would otherwise be a boring experience he generally makes it better.
