How many games, western or eastern, let you pick voice acting during character creation? So far I count

I have no idea why I played this game to completion. It kind of sucks the whole way through.

Wizardry 8, it still has the best character creation.

Baldur's Gate
Icewind Dale

Most. I mean, it's character creation. I think it's easier to ask for which DON'T do it. Pretty much those, where the created character speaks too much. Usually they don't though, and as such you got multiple choices for them.

SAO Fatal Bullet is interesting, as it even allows your bot (you also design) to get different voices, and this bot actually has quite a bit of dialogue, unlike your own character.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Divinity Original Sin 2 lets you. Also, I only played Monster Hunter for a short time, but I think you can choose it there, too. There are a lot of games that let you do it. Hell, even in Smash Bros you can choose the noises your Mii fighters make, can't you?

>make complex character creator with 17 classes and a dozen races
>managed to make fucking up your party nearly impossible despite the never ending challenge from start to finish
They made of of the best games of all time and it killed their studio

Xenoblade X, because Adam Howden is the classic voice for the male character.

Most games with character creation AND a voiced protagonist have multiple voices to choose from.

this
it's actually rarer to not get this option

Why did they even need to make a third one? 2020-II seemed pretty conclusive to me.

Dragon Age 1 and 3

Both 2020 and 2020-II were everything but conclusive. They introduced the existence of seven powerful Dragon commanders or whatever, and by 2020-II you only dealt with 2 of them (one in 2020 and one in 2020-II). VFD was supposed to be two games (a pentalogy was designed by the team) but got compressed into one because Imageepoch was kill and Sega bought it (thank Rieko for that) but demanded that the series would be over by the next installment. That's why in VFD you go around quickly killing the final 5 Dragon Commanders.
I've got no source right now, but if you google around you can find pieces of it (much of the information was lost in time, from translated interviews and stuff like that).
And a final reminder that the original 7th Dragon on the DS, chronologically happens centuries AFTER 2020. It's the "future".

You'd think so, but it's not that common as you make it out to be.

Stranger of Sword City, though the voice acting is nothing special.
>>

It’s a fucking shame the series is dead.
>>
>>2086128
Not really. All four games don't have anything going for them outside of the brilliant art design, music and the fun party-synergy mechanics (imo, 7th Dragon surpassed EO in that regard). Exploration was decent on the first one but the rest were brain-dead corridors and much of the balance in DS game completely disappeared with 2020, where some classes are notoriously OP. Combine that with the lack of difficulty overall (I genuinely can't imagine how someone could enjoy these games on Easy Mode) and replays of the games are a snorefest.

who has the squeakiest kawaii little girl voice?

>brilliant art design, music and the fun party-synergy mechanics
As if these weren’t reason enough.

>7th Dragon surpassed EO in that regard
I vehemently disagree.

I agree with the rest though, the games were easy and each gane made exploration more linear. But I enjoyed them all well enough.

Neverwinter Nights.

Divinity 2 does but it's about a whopping 4 male voices and 4 female voices

it's really not very good. I mean it's not bad or anything it's just bland
>>
>>2090146
Play 2020 and 2020-II first, since they also have a VA option and suck less than VFD.
>>
>>2090146
Its a decent RPG on the 3DS and the VAs are amazing
Just dont go expecting anything revolutionary and you are set
>>
>>2068578
Is 7th dragon any good?
Which should I play and then what order after that?
>>
>>2091497
Play through them in order.
DS > 2020 > 2020-II > VFD
tl;dr of the thread: The games get progressively worse but they have some good points about them. VFD is considered abysmal by most, however.
>>
>>2068578
Most WRPGs, actually.
