Not to shill them, but 8bitdo made a mod kit for the original n64 controller that uses a hall effect stick. Would this hall effect stick help in any way for more accurate stick movements in n64 games?
>>9934750Have absolutely no idea but someone railed at me for asking about using a NOS 64 first party controller on the og 64 and you can. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. I’d like to know tho too, the more options for sticks the better.
>>9934767I'm still possed that the NSO controller has the same fucking issue as the original. No excuse for Nintendo to not have a fix for the problem at this point.
>>9934779What’s the issue?
>>9934790That the NSO N64 controller has the same issue of the stick grinding plastic on a plastic bowl and eventually breaking.
>>9934750>Would this hall effect stick help in any way for more accurate stick movements in n64 games? No. Why on earth would you think it might?>>9934767Pretty sure they just "railed" at you for being retarded.
>>9934750Is their new joystick compatible with the original control board and the N64? A shame the whole kit doesn't actually work with an N64.
>>9935052>A shame the whole kit doesn't actually work with an N64.What's the point? An N64 controller for anything but N64 is really undesirable.
>>9935057It's really good for some games. Like halo 2 is amazing with the n64 pad
>>9934984::comes into thread and acts like a total chimp:: Yea I’m sure ur not the same fag.
That looks like the original analog stick connector and you can buy them seperately, so i assume it should work with the original control boardI'm sold on a type-c rumble pak and hall sensors, not so much on the replacement motherboard
>>9934750probably not, the reason you use hall effect is because it is significantly more resistant to wear than potentiometer or optical sticks. N64 stick is designed to have a lotof stiffness and a huge amount of travel. That's what makes them unique from the playstation style that became universal after it. In order to get a proper N64 stick for those games that rely on its unique qualities, you'd need one that was much stiffer than the usual that are around today.tl;dr this new stick will last a long time but it won't likely be much similar to the original.
>>9936858>comes into thread and acts like a total chimp>seethes, copes, and reddits when called out>everyone who laughs at spergbois is samefagMany such cases
