All the time mechanics are really cool but holy fuck does the game's actual platforming suck ass. Honestly the rare game I'd love to see a remake of because it has so much potential to be a great platformer.
It wasn’t bullied because it just wasn’t talked about at all. I played a chunk of it on a friend’s system. I remember it being pretty okay.
In elementary school my second grade class went to some presentation fair held by in another classroom of fifth graders. Each fifth grader had their own presentation at their desk with their own diorama and materials. We would all proceed in a snaking line through the class looking at each student's presentaiton. One kid was doing his presentation on adrenaline and showed me and another kid Halo and Blinx, saying "Look at these two games," and asked which one is more bad-ass and exciting. He told us Halo was and that obviously Blinx wouldn't get you pumped or excited to play because it is a baby's game. The kid I was with agreed and I felt bad because as a little kid Blinx looked more appealing to me but I didn't say anything

Not sure why zoomer YouTubers come up with all these weird little stories for things they were barely even alive for. Blinx was in Xbox Official Magazine hyping it up like typical MOVE OVER MARIO shit but that was about it. Barely a blip on the radar. Microsoft really wanted a kid friendly character for their system but no one cared and kids just played Halo anyway. If you played Halo and Dead or Alive and Project Gotham then you probably didn't even know who the fuck Blinx was, let alone bully people who liked the game. In retrospect it's admirable how much money MS sank into trying to make the Xbox viable in Japan. Didn't work whatsoever but there sure are some great Koei and Sega games on the system. The system was just too damn huge and ugly by Japanese tastes to ever work over there.

They had this on a Xbox demo stand in my local Toys R Us when the console came out, apart from that I have never seen this game or heard anyone talk about it either good or bad

If it was a game, I would play it and pretty much always have fun when I was a kid just because I loved games that much (I still do, its just I have higher standards for what I spend my time doing now), and I still didn't like it so that's got to say something I guess.
