Nothing.
You're too young to think anything about it.
>>
>>9031942
i didn't even know there was a franchise, just thpught there were a couple games on atari
>>
>>9031942
I don’t know. Not overly concerned either.

It morphed and changed identity so much it barely feels like the same concise character. In every game you're playing as a farther descendant of the original Atari2600 Harry.

Super Pitfall NES looks like it was clearly inspired by atlantis no nazo and those msx montezuma's revenge clones

OH NOOOOoOoOoO
Lost Expedition looks a bit like a N64/Xbox Rareware game. Reminds me of Kameo.

The SNES/Sega game has elastic rubberband animation like Earthworm Jim/Aladdin.
The Ps1 plays like Crash Bandicoot with fixed camera angles that swaps between sidescroller 2D and isometric 3D. Seems like the series never had much identity and just copied what was popular.
>>
>>9032130
in fact there were plans to bring over Atlantis no Nazo as Super Pitfall 2

Intresting.
Every game starts with a first level homage to the original with quicksand pits, spike logs, alligators and a vine swinging over it.
>>
>>9031942
Nothing. You weren't even alive when most of the games in the franchise were new.
>>
>>9032191
Why are all of you so offended? I played the snes mayan adventure to death on release.
>>
>>9032275
Lots of fragile manbabies post on /vr/ so please be patient
>>
>>9031942
First Pitfall game is all I played and it was trash but that's all we had on Atari.
>>
>>9032135
I had a demo of this I played quite a bit. The game probably sucks, but I should try the full thing.

Tourist here. I had (have?) The Mayan Adventures on my Mega Drive and I remember loving it.

I had this game on my Wii as a kid, I liked it quite a bit. It’s pretty much structured like a Zelda game, but it’s very competent. I probably wouldn’t be as into it today though, just because single player narratives aren’t what I’m into these days

I'm a huge Mayan Adventure enjoyer, the PC and 32X versions have extra levels.

So that's why you're asking us what you thought about it?

It was the best game for Atari 2600.

I didn't know they made any more after this one. The original was really fun, at least.
