post about flashcarts/odes of any console and kinddoes anyone have any recommendations for chink fba flashcarts?
>>8905454Do you mean GBA? EZFlash, or, if you want the cheap and terrible experience, a SuperCard miniSD
>>8905454SuperCard SD is a piece of shit. Requires patching and lots of glitches and compatibility issues. If you're poor, it's still ok I guess. EZ Flash Omega is pretty good but a bit pricy, the battery hit is pretty noticeable but has much better compatibility, better features, and no noticeable lag. I'd spring the extra twenty bucks for the updated version however. ED64/Super 64 are basically just everdrive clones, albeit old ones, that work just fine with no real issues. Just limited features. Same can be said with the EDGB which is a clone of the GB/C Everdrive, newer ones have decent features and cost a decent amount less.
>>8905465The official GB/C everdrives cost drastically more than the $25 the chinese ones do, and the clones actually have more features than the cheaper X3 version.
>>8905454Speaking of that pic; I recommend that if you want a Gameboy Micro to do it asap. The way I see it is when the GBA NSO stuff comes out, youtubers will make videos about the GBA and Micro and cause they prices to double for retard reasons.
Go to AliExpressBuy flashcart
>>8906160are you kiddingGBA micros are already retardedly expensive
>>8906190Never underestimate the retarded generation and people like metalfaggotjew
The only GBA flashcart worth buying is the EZ Flash Omega Definitive Edition.Original Omega is a power sucking bastard and you'll wipe your saves if you're stupid. Everdrive costs more for fewer features and no advantages. Supercard SD is a piece of shit with slowdown, glitches, and compatibility flaws. Anything else is unavailable.
>>8906160I'm glad I already got my AGS-101. Now I have to secure a Micro too.
>>8905454>flashcartsBut those are illegal, anon.
>>8906707Eh, I'd say the everdrive is worth it too for the lower power consumption but for obvious reasons I can't recommend it currently
>>8906824Omega DE consumes less power than the original. The everdrive's marginal compared to that.
>>8906892it's a few hours
>>8906762fuck you for spreading lies, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you.
>>8907036DMCA circumvention device.
>>8905454for gba get the ezflash omega definitive edition. its the only flashcart that works properly with gamecube connectivity, palpark, and also for receiving events from pokemon event rom dumps due to its second mode that mimmicks an original cart
>>8907070Gamecube works fine on other flashcarts to. You don't have to use mode b.
>>8906762>>8907062people like you are why my mom won't let me own a flash cart
>>8907081I'm pretty sure i remember reading about people having issues with transferring jirachi from pokemon channel with flashcarts
>>8907097Ah, I didn't realise Metroid used multiboot. I only tried Pokemon XD which doesn't use this.
Bros, go for the chinese MD V3 or the Mega Everdrive X3 (both roughly the same price)? Or stretch to the X5?
>>8907097Based EZ-Flash underdog
>>8907141EZ Flash have always been top dog.
>>8907141Wut?They’ve been around since the GBA, most people should at least remember the DS lite slot form factor GBA flash cart
>>8907109>>8907097I went and checked myself, this is bullshit. I just booted Metroid Fusion on the EZ Flash Omega and it linked fine with Metroid Prime. You don't need to use a DE at all. This post in the linked topic describes exactly what you need to do.>I think what you would have to do for Gamecube multibooting to work is disable Quick Boot, and then after you launch the ROM, press Start + Select as soon as the GBA logo appears. The Nintendo logo should disappear w/ a chime and then reappear when another GBA or the Gamecube is plugged in and transmits a program. Since the ROM+Save are locked in before rebooting to the BIOS, any multiboot which alters the save file should be able to work fine. Should also work for like, the Pokemon Colosseum Jirachi and a few other multiboot programs which mess with saves.>>8907153You'd be surprised how many anons think krikzz invented flashcarts.
>>8907156They probably don’t even know R4 or supercard
>>8907192Supercard is better forgotten.
>>8907225The existence of DSTwo says you are wrong
>>8907242dstwo sucks balls and also your battery
>>8907265Pretty sure this was a meme or at least it only really affected the 3DS
>>8906160I don't think so since Macros are pieces of shit for gay manlets with tiny hands
>>8907285It's not, that thing has an extra CPU inside. It's very power hungry on any DS model
>>8907305When the extra CPU isn't being used, it doesn't drain much more power. But the extra CPU is obsolete any way.
>>8907313Why would you use a DSTwo for anything besides the extra features? At that point just get a cheap R4 clone
>>8907329Because they were similarly priced back then?
>>8907489The DSTwo was like double the price back then.
>>8905454Looking for a Gameboy flash cart that's compatible with super Gameboy. Thank you
>>8907493Not when I bought it, it was also the only one that worked with DSi
>>8907507That's simply incorrect, even Supercard's own DSONEi already worked on DSi.
I'm gonna get scammed if I try buying an AliExpress GDEMU clone at this price right ?
>>8907638Look at the store. Lots of Aliexpress sellers pop up, claim to sell items super cheap, and disappear a week later. A real store has lots of positive user feedback.
>>8907638You can dispute anything you get fucked on>>8907710This is true but it doesn't really matter one way or the other, it's hard to get totally fucked on Ali, you just have to play the waiting game if you do.
>>8906707I've heard that the Definitive Edition use an emulator for GB/C games. So what the interest of Def. Edition compared to EZ Flash Junior ?
>>8907638In case it's not obvious that's a listing for "GDEMU parts", i.e. a chink SD card.
>>8908279All GBA flash carts use emulation for GB/C games; the GBA can only operate in one mode at a time. If you boot a GBA flash cart, you're in GBA mode. The EZ Flash Jr. is apparently good, and the ~$20 chinese EverDrive clones are rather good, I bought one for a friend recently.
>>8907062you don't even know what that means, stfu
>>8908337>>8907638>Color: SD Card
>>8908462Can you use EZ Flash Definitive Edition with Nintendo DS ?
>>8905465thanks, I'm rebuilding an SP since I can't find mine from childhood and was getting bummed out about the price on everdrives
>>8905454Just got a Satiator for my Saturn. Fucker was expensive though. But I wanted to be able to play my physical games too.
>>8905465>and no noticeable lag.Do flashcarts add lag?Never heard about that
>>8905454Is there a list of emulators for the everdrive 64? The documentation mentions an NES one, and I've seen some mention of a game gear one that requires rom patching.Mostly looking for Gameboy/gbc.
>>8905454I have an EZ Flash Jr coming in the mail next week, very excited to use it. Got back into GB/GBC games recently and forgot how much I missed the GB form factor.
>>8907303You mean micros?
>>8908573No idea, but I would imagine so. I'm not aware of any currently available GBA flash carts that don't work on the DS.
I'm loving the Everdrive X3 so far. Sure there's no real time clock and save has to be done with clicking the button but it's amazing playing on real hardware instead of an emulator.
>>8908748Funny, me too. Should arrive Monday.
>>8908573It works on a DS, but it doesn't play DS games. You can use it for extra features like rumble in DS games though.>>8908667Supercard adds slowdown because it uses slow RAM. Avoid this flashcart even though it's cheap af.
>>8908573>EZ Flash Definitive EditionNo such thing exists. There is a EZ-FLASH Omega Definitive Edition for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance handheld videogame-system.
