I wanna say pic related but I acknowledge it's just fun because of the concept and characters and otherwise it's just a dumbed down SF clone.

Street Fighter EX
Rival Schools
Star Gladiator
Am I missing any franchise?
>>
>>8361601
Final Fight Revenge

Better question: what 3D fighting game has Capcom made that ISN'T /vr/?

>really getting some Boss Baby vibes from this
>>

Street Fighter 4&5
I don't get it
>>

Power Stone
>>
>>8361918
Those aren’t 3D fighters
>>

2.5D. 2D fighting games made with 3D graphics.

Though I can't remember if Rival Schools has 3D movement (Star Gladiator did, I think).
>>
>>8361937
Yeah, Rival Schools has foreground/background dodging
>>
>>8361937
that's just 2D, 2.5D implies some kind of plane movement
>>
>>8361592
Star Gladiator, also has some of the best Capcom music

Capcom barely made any 3d (gameplay) fighters. And since 2008 they've released six fighting games total, all 2d (gameplay)
>>
>>8361926
They literally is.

Tech Romancer

SF4&5 have polygonal graphics, but the gameplay takes place entirely on a 2D plane. There's no sidestepping in SF4&5
>>
>>8362169
>but the gameplay takes place entirely on a 2D plane
changes nothing. still 3d. cope.
>>
>>8362172
Changes everything. When people specify the difference between "2D fighter" and "3D fighter", they're not talking about the fucking graphics. They're talking about the gameplay

sorry but you just outed yourself as a zoomie

Something as simple as foreground/background dodging qualifies as 3D gameplay, so ALL /vr/ games mentioned in this thread are in fact 3D fighting games, since all of them feature that mechanic at the very least.

Jesus fucking christ you're a retard

Rival Schools 1 > Street Fighter 4 & 5. DIMPS sucks ass.

>>8364029
she looks like a chipmunk in SFV
>>
>>8361996
Star Gladiator 1 had awesome music for a canceled/rebranded Star Wars fighting game. The game mechanics are underrated too, Capcom should have kept it going to compete with Soulcalibur
>>
>>8364402
you just blew my mind with that spoiler anon
>>
Why don't Capcom make a 3D fighter compilation, with Rival Schools, Project Justice, Star Gladiator, Plasma Sword, Final Fight Revenge, and Tech Romancer? And add rollback netcode?
