please someone help me i think i might be going fucking insane

as a tiny kid back in like 2003 i'm certain that my modded playstation 1 could play NES games through the use of special pirated disks (i've confirmed this part and it is true, they had 3 NES games available each). i've been trying since then to find a particularly strange super mario bros romhack that was in one of these collections. the only different thing i remember, though, was that instead of a fireflower, there was a paper plane shaped powerup where mario would wear a blue and grey jumpsuit instead of the normal white and red fireflower one and instead of throwing fireballs, he was able to throw small paper planes that actually glided through the air.

its been nearly 20 fucking years and i've never been able to find this romhack, i beg of you to help me and end this mystery. pic related was what mario's color palette looked like.

You could try asking in the homebrew / romhack general.

That sounds interesting. Do you remember playing it .multiple times, or is it a single memory?

I used to play a first person game that starts with you fighting cannibals/tribal peoples, with an inventory and loot system, you could patch your body up at different parts, the intro had a walker robot in it. As a kid I thought it was a Deus Ex prequel.

that was an emulator called "it-might-be-nes" which was pretty neat.

early 00's PC game where you flew around fighting aliens in first person? I think it was a real time strategy type game. I rememeber playing at my grandparents with a flight stick simulator thing. it had some kind of campaign. any ideas?

Descent?

Anyone?

A first-person RTS??? Reminds me of weirdo stuff like Dungeon Keeper or Sacrifice, but fighting aliens... uhh are you somehow thinking of Homeworld???

Why would you need a flight stick for a strategy game?

>first person rts with aliens
Urban Assault? Incoming?
Both late 90s, however.

I remember a game I had on my PS1 where it was like a slow vertical scrolling shooter in 3D that I could never remember the name of. One of the player ships was this either blue or yellow cat-like creature with rounded rectangle eyes who had a UFO as a ship.

Fighting game, SNES. One of the characters was a fat dude in green wearing suspenders, his taunt him slapping his ass like "kiss my ass".
>>
Exploration PC game, point and click, played it around 2000.
Involved a mineshaft later a place looking like a castle. There was some creepy pale woman in black clothes following you around, a puzzle involving a red orb and another one that worked just like that infamous Bioshock Infinite one.

Fatal Fury 2.
>>
>>7850614
That's a beat em up, not a fighting game. There's a fine line between the two and I WON'T LET YOU CROSS IT, NO I WON'T.
>>
>>7850632
No, don't shoot! It's a fightan, I swear:

Does anyone else just make up games they'd like to play and use the thread as a recommendation thread? I've done this a few times at least, got some good suggestions.

Fatal Fury 2 is definitely a fighting game. Cheng is clearly the guy you're remembering.

It kinda looks like that Giana Sisters ripoff called "Super Mario Bros."

Street Fighter/Fatal Fury/Mortal Kombat = Fighting Game

Final Fight/Streets of Rage/Double Dragon = Beat em up or Brawler.
>>

Its much older than Zeno Clash, it also had a physical representation of your body, I believe it had a knife as a weapon, possibly the enemies had spears, you attacked their small village of huts.
