You actually have a good point.

Why to sitcom games not exist? There is a genre for god damn anything, including fucking fishing. Are sitcom producers just too lazy to come up with concepts?

Imagine you control Al Bundy in his house and you can interact with anything in the house and he makes jokes about it. The goal could be to gather as many "laugh tracks" as possible by choosing witty replies in dialogue or combining items in a humorous way.

I feel sitcom games should be a thing. The closest thing to it would be the South Park games I guess.

Home Improvement got a game
>>
>>7719129
Most of the big popular sitcoms of the time weren't really for kids, which was probably why. Home Improvement got one for whatever reason though.
>>
>>7719129
Home Improvement
Dallas
The Addams family
Neighbours
MASH
Alf
Little Britain
Ghost Whisperer
Criminal Minds
Gilligans Island
Desperate Housewives
Jackass
The Young Ones
Yes, Prime Minister
Monty Python
The Office
Iron Chef
Murder, She Wrote
Grey's Anatomy

Though not all sitcoms, all TV shows that got video games, a lot of them questionable.

All sitcoms and 98% tv shows are garbage.
>>
>>7719129
there's a lot of untapped potential for point and click adventure adaptions though I imagine most sitcoms were too lowbrow and mainstream to be a good fit for the sort of nerds that play point and click. It's a real shame that the simpsons never got a good one.

This game. Imagine a game like Dragon's Lair except with Bill Murray. 10 minutes of content where you have to replay the same thing over and over and make the right choices to see the end.
>>
>>7719318
depends on where you're at in the game. there's a part where you can pick up the phone which triggers a sequence where you say the name of malcolm's crush and say he can't come to the phone because he wet the bed and is busy cleaning it up. he chases you off then picks up the phone and tries to call her back. malcolm finds out the last number that called was stevie's house and Abe answers the phone. This makes malcolm mad because he thinks his crush is hanging out with Stevie and he leaves the house to go find them. this gives you the opportunity to sneak into the room and steal reese's slingshot(and also $5 for an easter egg later on but you have to get the money first because getting the slingshot triggers the next sequence).

But if you have access to the backyard and the shovel and you've already broke the neighbor's windows right you bury the slingshot and then the cops will show up. they'll find reese still hiding in the bushes from the kids with water guns part and assume he did it. they notice the fresh hole in the backyard and ask dewie to dig it up. they find the slingshot which reese says isn't his despite it having his name on it. they decide to take him to jail and upon searching him say that he's got nothing on him. this tells you that he ditched them somewhere when the cops show up. you'd think they'd be in the bushes but they're actually behind the garbage cans outside

Slipknot sucks would rather have a Limp Bizkit game.
>>

Isn't that kind of how Neighbors From Hell is played? You have to torture the fat neighbor with traps without getting caught for laugh tracks.

One thing a MWC game needs to have is Al playing a Psycho Dad FPS, essentially Doom with all of Al's usual targets of hate (Peg, Marcy, etc.) in place of demons.

that's not even that obtuse compared to other similar puzzles in adventure games. the gnome name from king's quest was much worse. you had to track down a note that you wouldn't think to be related which gives you some kind of archaic hint. so basically you have to connect random shit, then write it "backwards." not really backwards though because bob backwards would be bob. instead of bob they'd want you to write yly. because b is the 2nd letter in the alphabet and y is the 2nd letter from the end of the alphabet.

That's much harder to figure out than hiding Hal's speaker cables in the grass so he runs over them with lawn mower and has to run to the store to get new cable.

The Dreamcast version has much better lighting and textures but all in all 989 Studios did an ok job. PS1 ruled the world in 1999 but it was getting old. Good thing they had friends at Treyarch.

There was an unofficial point and click style game that did the rounds back in the day. Can't remember who made it. I haven't ever seen it online, surprisingly. I still have it.

You're missing a few. The Sopranos got a pretty terrible beat em up, and Friends got a dumb trivia game

I had the Sopranos game back in the day, played through it once and then traded it in for something else. After Gandolfini died I had an itch to revisit it and looked it up on ebay out of curiosity, people were wanting too much for it.
It had all the cast members involved and it felt like they were going for a good interactive Sopranos experience but yeah, it did suck.

>>7722040
Anon said "good"
>>
>>7722016
well id say they addressed the concerns raised around the first title as reasonably as they could for the sequel
>>
The snes version was better.
>>
>>7722051
Good point. This might be nostalgia goggles, I think I was like eight or nine when I played it and this was the only Simpsons I was allowed because Dad was afraid watching the show would turn me into a disrespectful wiseass.

Since I'm here, I'm sure you can tell how well it worked.

>>
>>7722035
False. Why would I want to subject myself to listening to music that annoys me or irritates me? I don't like the whining/crying in R&B. I certainly don't care for pop music, which seems to attract faggots to the genre. And I definitely don't care for the gibberish mumble jumble rhyming of rappers who brag about killing/raping/stealing/murdering or some shit like that.

For a quirky cash-in on the Tamagotchi/early Pokemon craze it's full of surprises. Too bad it was released late in the Saturn's life and costs $800 disc-only.
