>Well you're going to see your excellent run one more time.
>Cool breeze, birds and clouds.
>Relax, and enjoy.
How is it even possible for a game to be this aesthetically pleasing?

I think it's the mario64 of racing games
>>
Sega racers are awesome dude, I wish more of them were in Yakuza. Virtua Fighter 2 is alright, but I'd love to have a few solid racers in there

It's a better racing game overall.I've spent hundreds of dollars racing my mates at Daytona, Sega Rally, not even $5.

I love arcade board Model 2's aesthetics. It's like a living 3D artwork. Sega Rally is one of those games that never gets old.

As good as Daytona (the first one) undoubtedly is, Sega Rally is a step ahead in visuals and a leap in driving controls and phisics.

You can make statues dance and gamble in Daytona USA while racing. You can't even turn around in Sega Rally,

I didn't know there was a Daytona 2, I've only ever played this one.
>>
>>7104952
You can turn around in Sega Rally Championship. Why lie about that? Love both Daytona USA and SRC but Sega Rally is king.

GAME OVER YEAAAAAHHHH

I could have sworn it was like Outrun where left, right and forward were your only choice. Don't recall being able to drive the wrong way in it.
>>
Replays were a very comfy time in that game, probably thanks to the OST

ok fair enough I take back the lying part :-3

Daytona's tires are stuck to the ground like magnetics to steel but i agree it have an edge on multiplayer at least. Sega Rally have the best driving controls until Ferrari F355 Challenge came around.
>>

>missing F355 Challenge, Rallisport Challenge, and Tokyo Xtreme Racer

>Daytona's tires are stuck to the ground like magnetics to steel
you notice the game does the exact same. That's why I like segarally better than ferrari.

Sega rally is much better designed. The cars bounce and you can see their weight when drifting and jumping. Also the cars looks much more varied and more fun in sega rally. It's truly the mario 64 of racing.

is this actually good?

Maybe. It was great when I played it like 2 decades ago. I'm downloading it now to give it another shot.

This. Also Forza 1
>>

Fair enough, all you said is true. For me I usually enjoy Ferrari a bit more and am glad to play both for the rest of my life. Keep in mind playing F355 Challenge with the assists off (except for ABS breaks) is hell of an experience many players didn't bother to try.

Daytona has tighter controls & much larger tracks. Traveling over 300km, throwing it into first gear and flying around turns is much more satisfying than anything Sega Rally offers,

Sega Rally does have a good navigator though.
>>
>>7106634
Have I been playing Daytona wrong this whole time? I love both games but I think when it comes to steering response Rally is the clear winner.
>>
>>7108003
the steering wheel periphery in daytona feels incredibly well. But I prefer sega rally too.
>>
>>7108003
well, powersliding/drifting is a huge part of Daytona. In fact it's critical. But it's also hard.

In Sega Rally it's much easier to slide around a bit, much more user friendly.
>>
>>7108065
yeah, so the tracks can be more varied and the difficulty is in the tracks. Like in every modern racing game.
>>
there's a general for this, come join us
>>
How is anyone actually playing this game? It doesnt run on ps2 for pcsx2

Saturn emu is crap, got it running on SSF but the sound is broken.

The PC port perhaps? There might be a version to run it on Windows 10. Personally, I just emulate the arcade.
