If Megas, Z-Moves, Dynas, and Teras were all in the same game, how would battling play out? Whether they're all usable in the same battle or only 1 of them per battle?

It would be a shitshow. Why do you think Ash vs Leon was bullshit? Leon only had Gmax while Ash could use Z moves, Dynamax, and megas in one battle. You would fucking dominate anyone if you could do all that.

It would be like gen 1 yugioh where you could just slap down a blue eyes each turn with no cost and just wipe the field.

Z-moves are almost universally useless because Dynamax exists, which gets 3 slightly weaker Z moves (some times at least) with no item drawback.

Restrict it to one at a time. If you Z-move, you can't tera, dyna or mega. If you dyna, you can't Z-move, tera or mega, and so on.

You can't sans Megas because tweaking any one of the gimmicks has an equal affect on all.

You get 1 gimmick and 1 mega. Balance factor being you can't mega a gimmick or gimmick a mega.

Make Dmax and Tera eat the item slot, it almost immediately fix all the problems. You have to chose a single pkm to Dmax, and if Tera, you are limited to the single pkm with that single type. Z-moves and mega would still be useful for any other of your Pokémon as only one can Dmax. Tera taking away the item slot makes it a gamble to use, specially for offensive polemon that lose orb/choice item, and probably just useful for a limited number of Pokémon with bad defensive types/ that need coverage.

Short of a complete and total revamp of all the systems to equalize them Dynamax is the best choice 10 out of 10 times.

Even if you somehow balanced Dynamax which is near-impossible to balance by nature, the fact that you have four overpowered gimmicks in one battle means it's already a shit metagame from the beginning. By the time you nerf those to be balanced they might as well be ordinary Draco Meteors and Fire Blasts.

Tera and max are only good because they're dynamic. If you have to commit to a dedicated user ahead of time you can get into a matchup where you can't use max because you don't bring your max mon.

And that's a problem because? Imo, if they are now bad, then they are fixed. If you want we can implement the old battle mode where you could change a Pokémon item. Pick six Pokémon and six items, do a combination of 4. This only matters for VGC doubles, on singles you always have your gimmick Pokémons with you.

Mega Evolution by itself was already a black hole that consumed teambuilding, and one of the reasons SM OU was chaos because you had Z-moves on top of Megas.

Natdex AG is AG, here you would still have rules. It has nothing to do with AG, here you have species and item clause. Also you are restricted to current gen movepool. It has nothing to do with AG meta.
