These games are a lot of fun. Just got a spiritomb for my monoghost team.
I'm going to need to find someone with a reaper cloth to trade me so I can get a Dusknoir early though.

I never played Gen 4, do you anons recommend starting with Platinum or diving right into BDSP? I know that BDSP don't include Platinum content but have other recent QoL improvements like an IV checker

Good for you, OP. I'm having fun too.

BDSP for up-to-date mechanics and cosy gameplay, especially if you want to do trades since multiplayer is active for the current games. Less grindy too if you want to complete the dex.
Platinum for actual singleplayer content and a more challenging playthrough. Better regional dex than BDSP (yes I know the Grand Underground exists but it leaves out encounters like Tropius and Yanma). If you're emulating make sure to grab Following Platinum for following mons, if that's your fancy.
