I'm not usually this sassy but God DAMN when is this thread going to start
>>47675355I like Sage's interpretation better desu
>>47675382what is that supposed to be? I get it's gloom but what plant is that?
Cubdgel > BruisaurRock/FightingBulletproof/Solid Rock 100/130/130/30/90/40New move: Crushing Maul [Rock]BP:120 Acc:75 PP:5Ignores opponent's stat changes and has a 30% chance to lower opponent's defense one stage.
>>47675396It's a plant called the grass treeAnd the vileplum combines that with elements of gum tree flowersBecause they're both native Australian pyrophytic plants
>>47675428finally, good fakemon
>>47675428A Rock/Fighting Ankylosaur would be great but you just know GF would make it a slow Rock/Steel with terrible SpDef.
>>47675458And higher Sp. Atk
>>47675428>120bp Cool>chance to lower defalso cool>75acyikes.
>>47675475>yfw it's a slow, frail mixed attacker with no special movepool.
>>47675428Since we are doing fake moves now I might as well ask here>Calamity>Dark / Special>BP: 130 Acc: 90% PP:5>Drops Sp atk two stages>Chance to Inflict Fear (basically Infatuation with a turn limit so it doesn't last forever)To add some more context it's a signature move so no one else gets it via level up or breeding
>>47675300Bad. They should have done something with the belly, like make the body covered in smaller versions of the pink bloom and change the overall body type more.
>>47675644it was a quick sketch so I don't think he had any intention of polishing the design.
>>47675479>no no no the move HAS to be brokenCome on man.
>>47675789could have made it 80% accuracy so at least it will hit some of the time
>>47675796120 power is close combat and superpower levels, so 75% seemed more appropriate without lowering its own stats
>>47676260I'd rather have it lower it's own stats and have it be more reliable than have it never hit when it needs to and lose to accuracy RNG
Kricketot -> Kricketune -> KricketollTyping: Bug/GhostAbility: TechnicianHA: Cursed BodyMove examples: Struggle Bug, Astonish, Sing, Ominous Wind, Silver Wind, Lucky Chant, Taunt, Sticky Web, Perish Song#------------------------------------------------------------Dex Entries:After being reborn as a ghost Pokemon, it wanders through the night in areas it lived in back before it was driven to extinction. (Kricketot)Legends state when one hears Kricketune making melodies during the night, it's a sign that they'll die in 3 years. (Kricketune)When a human or Pokemon just passed away, a group of Kricketoll will play melodies to repose the souls of the dead. (Kricketoll - regional evolution of Kricketune)
>>47678394we get it, you're a furry.
>>47677495Pretty fucking nice. I could even see Kricketoll as a Bug Fables boss. What are its stats, by the way?
>>47678403Nah man. There's much worse furry crap out there.Pic unrelated
>>47678417Kricketoll’s base stats are 77/60/91/105/91/80
>>47676284then don't use it.
>>47678747Let me put this in simpler terms then. Megahorn and Power Whip are both 120 base power physical moves with no recoil or stat reduction penalties. You know what they have for accuracy? 85%I rest my case.
>>47678712Special attacker? Neat
Thoughts on these stats for Toxlich?Does it feel like a 600BST mon?
>>47680265that type combo and stats would make it an uber. thts like some shit theyd add to pokemon clover. as for the design though, i like it in a vacuum but i dont think itd fit as a pokemon
Not a single good fakemon. Some of these straight up look like they were made in deviantart fifteen years ago LOL. And vp is supposed to have a lot of twenty/thirty year olds with working brains, judging by the chart threads. Lots of bad life choices it seems. No taste at all, and what's that? A prescription? Let's see... Autism? Schizophrenia? Kids games? WHAT?
>>47681069what is this buzzword vomit
>>47681058Shit like this makes me literally want to vomit
>>476790801st stage sucks but 2nd stage is absolutely based.

>>47680804>Weak to the most common offensive move in the game>75 speed, 90 DefenseAt best its B+ tier OU, not really ubers level
>>47678847Megahorn and Power Whip also have no positive secondary effects, ignoring def boosts is a niche that's plenty worth 10 less acc.
Some people really have an hate boner for fakemons in general i noticed
>>47680181Unironically love Kabutomastar and Archosta
>>47680265>Does it feel like a 600BST mon?I wouldn't say so. It looks very unassuming, like a child in a costume almost. You could try giving it some more defined and unique features. Not necessarily like my sketch here, but it's an approach.
>>47680835>>47680841>>47680847Get it? Get it?God what weak designs

>>47680804>>47680804For some context here that I failed to mention. This is for my personal fan dex project don't intend on releasing anything just a hobby where I'm working with an altered and reduced type chart. In it poison is not weak to ground, it's neutral to it. Even if it was there isn't an EQ equivalent move. There is a 100bp special ground type move, but it has 90 accuracy. There is a Ground type Megahorn but that's single target only. Technically he would be 4x weak to Light and 4x weak to fire and that's it. There is no fighting, bug, dragon, fairy types. There are normal type moves but no normal type monsters. It's more of a "what if" scenario to see how the comp landscape might change with access to some new moves and mons but without access to some of the more staple moves like earthquake and flare blitz>>47682669Thanks I'll try something like this.

>>47682862You are rightALL western fakemon are garbageExample:>>47682877
>>47682964>slow ice grass type
>>47682910I try my best but monster design is harder than it looks.
Fakemon creators, why do you do it?You will never have the resources to make an actual game, nor the ingenuity of an entire team working on a project. And if you're doing a popular location you will eventually be overshadowed by GameFreak.
>>476831141. It's fun2. Improve art skills in the process3. fight off existential crisis
>>47683040could be worse, you could be a slow grass/ground type
>>47683087A bit juvenile
>>47682769>Fire is SE against Poison and Dark>adding a Light type>removing Bug and Fighting
>>47683114>>47683126>1. It's funBasically just this, it's fun to draw things even if they don't serve any practical purpose.
>>47682910>ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE that designs fakemon gets it over or under and I totally mean this guys cause it's not just that I suck GF cock!learn about the halo effect anon. You're treating GF like your oneitis have some self respect for once
>>47683153It's a different interpretation of "Dark" as an attribute. Gamefreak's Dark type is less about actual darkness and more about fighting dirty, which is why the majority of dark moves are just cheap fighting moves like sucker punch, etc. I'm going for the more literal interpretation of Darkness. Fire is commonly used to ward off evil and cleanse evil objects etc. It does make some sense in that context. Also without fighting Dark isn't weak to anything other than Light, so it needed another weakness to be balanced.>removing Bug and FightingI reduced the types specifically because I wanted a higher amount of mons per type. for example, with 18 types and 200 mons, if you split each slot evenly among the types that would be ~11 pokemon per type which isn't much considering there will be 3 stage and 2 stage mons. That would bring the total number of fully evolved mons per type to around 3-5 depending on how many stages each unique line gets. With 14 types that 11 becomes a 14, which means ~4-6 fully evolved mons per type, enough to fill a potential E4 team with. That isn't really counting dual types but It still is significant enough to justify. Basically the more types there are the more monsters you need to make to have a reasonable number of each type.>light typeI know. But I'm not leaning too heavily into the "Holy" aspect, It's more like literal "Light". The moves are also suitably generic such that other typed monsters are able to learn them without it feeling out of place. Currently My light types consist of 2 Bioluminescent Eels(Water / Light), and a Hand bell and Church bell. (Steel / Light).
>>47683253Gamefreak makes bad things too, ya happy now?
>>47683487These are cute but the first stage is a bit too simple? Doesn't feel like a mon, more like an accessory
Every region has a pikaclone. But what makes a good pikaclone?
>>47675233All of these are beyond awfulThank God fans don't make official games
>>47683564yeah thank goodness we have GF to give us masterpieces like this
>Take plastic soda bottle>open>turn upside down>Imagine the content was alivePlasquid, a trash pokemon along the lines of Grimers and Muk, but in the shape of a squidAbility is plastic coating that makes it resist electric type attacksArt is shit but as far as a concept it works
>>47683573It may be the worst pokemon ever made but it's still unironically better than 95% of the stuff in this thread. Fans don't know how to design pokemon.
>>47683557None of them are good and I wish they would stop doing it.
>>47683646A trash squid is a decent idea but I don't think that interpretation works too well.
>>47682852I think the silhouettes are pretty strong.
>>47675237Good Lord, please no
still disappointed this wasn't real
>>47683928If it's another Pokemon, sure. But not as its evolution line, just think an antithesis breeding to give birth to their prey? It's convoluted.
>>47683928should have a little wolf pre evo and it only evolves with a wooloo in your party
>>47683928sage did "wolf in sheep's clothing" better
>>47683935I like these better
>>47683977surprised they haven't done a proper veloci and stego yet

>>47683956that looks like shit.
>>47675314I hate this and the rest of the megas you've posted.

>>47685217this is the second time i've seen this and I still don't like it
>>47682675>pokemon with themes are badkill yourself, retard
>>47675300That should be Mega X. The Y Megas are more natural and the X ones change more.
>>47680181Cradily + Armando is my favorite since it remind me of the tongue eating louse
>>47681042Work on the colors. You seem to trend toward washed out colors and lots of navy.
>>47683877too many of them share the same pointy fur bits
>>47683977fochun fossils are better than this.
>>47686003>shit>meme>furry>featherfag>HELP ME NIGGERMANyeah nah these aren't good at all outside of the context of a meme hack
>>47675233There is a pokemon game where you survive a nuclear meltdown and nearly all the pokemon's are radioactive. The pokemon on the picture is similar to the pokemon's ingame. But idk if it's fake or legitimate.
>>47686082you mean Pokemon Uranium?
>>47685579>Anon figures out how pokemon shapes works
>>47686595>most of the official ones are very round and simple>most of the fakes are overly complicated thanks this helps. I've been trying to keep my mons simple too so it seems like I'm on the right track
>>47675259great another fire/fighting, at least someone ripped off it's wings
>>47686632They're about the same complexity. The silhouettes read from the same style.

>>47686686well at least you improved? v2 is definitely better
>>47686667Tell me which row is more complex
>>47686718>cherry picking. You don't need to do this we can all see every single one of them in the original image and it's clear the fakemon have more complex designs overall
>>47685428I was shitting on them for being bland, blunt executions, not for having themes, you absolute mongrel
>>47686796What constitues good design in your opinion?
>>47686595there's a lot less in Galar that have the bits that I'm talking about. It just feels like a big chunk of the dex is using Blipbug's aesthetic of a bunch of little patches of pointy bits which is making things feel a lot more samey
>>47686822Not just being exactly what the idea isPut some abstraction into it dudeThat worm has a literal film roll on its ass and the evolution is just a background character from an ancient mickey mouse cartoonThe lava lamp is awkward as shit, it looks unnaturalThe cowboy hat and vest are way too blatant
>>47687015Lava lamp is fine, but I agree with you on the other two.
We have the closed eye robot and the bell, so when do we get the arms and hole eyes/mouth ancient alien?
>>47687644>lack of fairy types>not even 386 designs>many pokemon rip-offssure 4/10
>>47687658nice bait>>47687644wish they would finish this shit already. I remember suggesting shit for this game like 10 years ago
>>47687631might try and make a mon based on these or those ancient astronaut figures. Maybe Rock / PsychicAlso I thought Elgyem line was actual aliens?
>>47687729Baltoy/Claydol and Bronzong are ancient Japanese artifacts.
>>47687771ahhh those. I think they would make a good rock type for sure, and since bronzong and claydol are both psychic it would make sense to be part psychic as well. The only question is how exactly does one pokemonify this concept correctly?
>>47687805You stick eyes on it, but not eyes that look normal.
>>47687677>le bait maymayfuck off
>>47675479Love gargoyles. Love this.

>>47689231It's suppose to be a split evo for Kadabra
>>47682769>remove bugyou know the entire reason pokemon exists in the first place is because satoshi tajiri liked collecting bugs as a kid, right?

>>47686595>proving his pointKEK
>>47690094doesnt mean anon has to keep the type
does anyone have the poison type aromatisse from one of the previous threads?
>>47683573I maintain my original pointYou must have drawn one of those, I feel sorry honestly
>>47689331Front profile ruins it for me.
>>47687866Tried to make a rough concept that evokes the concept without being too on the nose. This is the 1st stage of 2
>>47689331>okay, ots based on a sea pig, what should I name it?>sea pigGod I hate this retard's work, his designs are barebones and he doesn't accentuate design ques with colors that would help them pop, making his work feel muddy and unclear. Not to mention a good chunk of his fake mon feel like fetishdex rejects, like his huge snake and his garbage komodo fakemon that he heavily accentuates the insides of them mouths of for supplemental sketches.
>>47689331To be fair, if Seapig was a gen 2 mon, GF would've definitely called it "Seepig".
>>47690245Not really. The dex uses the same shapes as official Pokemon designs. Stay mad tho.
>>47692591the official dex has a lot more simple, distinctive shapes. the fakemon dex is just a bunch of indistinguishable blobs with shit jutting out.
>>47692611>instant replyStayed up all night waiting on dude to reply huh? Fucking obsessed
>>47683297>Gamefreak's Dark type is less about actual darkness and more about fighting dirty, look up the actual name of the dark type. "dark" is a localization
>>47685496most pokemon eras tend to 'trend' towards certain colors, that's nothing out of the ordinarynor is washed out coloration a negative, either
>>47692654I'm not stupid. It's called "Evil" in japanese. That doesn't change the fact that a majority of dark mons and 99% of dark moves are related to fighting dirty rather than actual darkness/evil. >bight>suckerpunch>throat chop>Beat Up>Thief>Feint Attack>Taunt>Torment>Nasty Plot>Foul Play>False Surrenderetc. The only moves that are related to literal darkness as an attribute are dark pulse dark void, and maybe Night Daze. Implementation matters more than the name.
>>47692611>he thinks squares and circles are complicated
>>47692706I'd argue fighting dirty is kinda evil no
Many of the Xenoverse designs are cool
>>47691894I want to fuck this aromatisse
>>47675233That's probably one of the worst fan Mega designs I've ever seen. It's just Muk with 2 extra arms..
>>47693612better than every fanmade gigantamax
you fags have such shit taste, result of eating too much ass, i m glad none of you get to desgn mons for the games
>>47675601130 w 90 acc sounds kinda OP but i like the fear concept
>>47688603Kinda fucking love this actually
>>47693686I have a few other moves that use it. "Shriek" is a generic 50BP special ghost type move which has a chance to cause Fear. Plenty of mons should be able to learn it. There is also "Deathly Howl" (90BP 90AC Sp Ghost) which is the signature move of a mon based on the Barghest of England. Then there is Dark Terrain, which in addition to boosting dark moves also increases the chances for moves to cause fear as long as it's active.>>47692001Better versions. I think It looks reasonable now.
From the AI-Gen Crystal Dex project.
>>47692943no, which is why the official designs use a lot of squares and circles while the fakedex has a bunch of clusterfuck blobs with shit jutting out.
>>47694458Its okay anon. Its hard living with a disability
>>47694444nice digits btw
I just think it'd fit if you tweaked it a bit
>>47675233this mega evolution actually looks really fucking goodI wish they hadnt dropped megas
>>47695708has some of the issues mentioned already in this thread. fur is too pointy and the chest is too detailed. Pokemon are usually pretty simple in terms of design and appearance. >>47695719me too anon. I really wanted a mega magnezone and hydriegon
>>47683556does tynamo feel too simple for you?
>>47692452>accentuate design ques with colors that would help them popTeach me sensei. I'm literally having this exact problem right now
>>47696094if tynamo looked like this like that shitty fakemon then yes it would be too simple.
>>47696373If you have something essential to the identity of the design, give it a color that stands out with the color scheme. If your design is still having trouble standing out, try gray scaling all the colors and seeing if they end up blending together. If so, darken some values and lighten others. This is a problem darkandwindie has
