Is mobile gaming doomed to be an eternal meme?

Is it because of pajeets and pakis that we will never surpass console/PC gaming?

>Is mobile gaming doomed to be an eternal meme?
Yes.

>Is it because of pajeets and pakis that we will never surpass console/PC gaming?
It's because the vast majority of mobile players are women and children.

No, the fact that everyone wants free games

mobile gaming is the evolution of flash games, not regular video games

Console gaming is going to p2w shit just like mobile, pc can hold its ground as long as steam and other sites like it allow AA, indie, one man passion projects ect to keep getting sold, and ignore that these games cant get whales willing to pay 50k a month on them

As a diehard mobile player (yes those unironically exist), yes. I do agree. Though this is mainly because of the fact that 99.9999% of the user base are children and developers just shit out horrible games to simply exist for a week and flood YouTube with ads for it. The only saving graces are the games that I'd genuinely rather play over lots of console titles, like Nameless Cat, That Level Again, and some solid multiplayer titles like Brawl Stars or something. And even then, those are more rare than the possibility of my dad coming back.

this post holds some truth to it. similar to social media, if people were more prepared for a simple up-front transaction we wouldn't be in the mess we are now

Going further down the rabbit hole here, this standard was default because the internet was originally 99% individual/group volunteers.
It took the smartphones and video streaming to break that classic expectation of a "free" internet and a free internet.
Just look at even multiplayer gaming, it was all built upon a foundation and backbone of player hosted servers.

See, early web companies had found ads were enough to support their hosting costs (even myspace was run on a shoestring budget despite being extremely valuable at its peak).
Its really companies like microsoft, google, facebook >(((who))) owns these companies btw
where you saw an attempt to control the platforms and the web itself to increase profitability, and in that they realized a need for control over the web itself to maintain that control.

Point is, given the nature of the early web (and early mobile gaming) it was inevitable that itd have this expectation of "free". And that is why we have these monolithic shit bag companies and these hideous monetization systems.
Yes it wouldve been superior to just have an upfront cost like most transactions, but it was doomed to be this due to the foundations of the web and software developement. And their desire for control of the end user, their desire to control the product and their desire to monetize activity indefinitely has brought us to this situation.

This, I'm not paying for shit on my phone, if your app has anything more intrusive than a banner ad I uninstall

>Is it because of pajeets and pakis that we will never surpass console/PC gaming?
Partly it is because touchscreen is shit for anything not turnbased.
Partly because many devs go the freemium/games as a service route.
Partly because it is usually treated as toilet time entertainment.
Partly because of how much reskinned or plain shit games there are and few actually good ones have a hard time surfacing.

And for the reasons listed above, very few devs would want to try making some ambitious project for mobile when they can just go with any other platform that offers much more in both player control and processing power.

a lack of active cooling is te major problem. another major problem is the cpus clock speed power requirements to go higher than 2ghz means a much shorter battery life

a real world example any one can test is how long can you run dont starve pocket edition or death road to canada vs honkai impact or genshin impact. i will put it like this the first two 2d games dont push anyones hardware and you should get 2 times as much battery time on full charge vs the two 3d games mentioned

its not that you cant have 3d games like shadow gun or pubg its that there is a limit to what you can expect to get given the stated 2 problems. active cooling makes stuff bulkier and drains the battery more. a steam deck running the most graphically intensive games will probably get 1 -2 hours at best and maybe 40 minutes at worst if you got the premium one and tried to play a game released this year on ultra settings

this means tempering expectations. if you look at street fighter 4 being on googleplay and final fantasy 7 first soldier you see there is some work but honestly thats about the limit to what you can expect graphically speaking its just to hard to cool and power a smartphone to do better

Please explain the math you used to calculate that a 40Wh battery on a device with max power consumption of 25W will last 40 minutes - hour?
Did you drop out of first grade?

Quicker, more accurate term for them.
