Thread's been dead for a few days so let's try making a new one

Teppen is a real time card game developed by GungHo featuring playable Capcom characters from RE, SF, MH, DMC, MMX, Darkstalkers, Okami, Sengoku Basara and additional cards from IPs such as Ace Attorney, Strider and BoF.

The game is 2 years old and fully playable as F2P, with expansions releasing every two months

SF6's announcement might be close (5's lastlast character releases in November) so it might be related to that, otherwise I'd expect a new IP.

Yes, it removes the unit from the game and replaces it with a fresh copy.
I don't know if most games would drag that much to use it on Ustanak and take advantage of a new revenge cycle, maybe against high level Morrigan or a point match green stall.

Lisa is great to play in gimmick divebomb decks (Unlimited)

Gameplan is get to 7-15 AP then play Lisa (either through hand or Res) and buff the shit out of it. Scag's decimate effect doesn't work on her so it can only be killed with damage while also pulling other Scags with chains of fate.

There's also a PB divebomb in standard but I don't know if it uses Lisa, never fought it.

Messing around with the deck and trying new cards. Ustanak seemed good on paper but so far I never got to play it's revenge form, it either ends up in the GY thanks to false throne or I don't pull it at all. Alex on the other hand led to an amusing game with chains of Fate Lisa pulling her back from the grave with each attack.

Changed Dreadful for Oblit 'cause I have a hard time dealing with 7+ (mostly Orochi and Fran) and rite of reincarnation/goddess dagger rarely end up working.

Nobunaga might work better than Sigma but I mostly keep it around as block fodder.

As much as DD would be great, it's Astaroth. G&G just got a release recently, so unless a continuation of Teppen's main shenanigans story is pushed way back to a potential DD2 release, Gung Ho is gonna want something more relevant for their reveal of who she's working for.

That's not what I expected. Faith seems a bit specific since it only works with other Faith cards, but the buff goes to a random unit so I imagine deck building will be more harder if you want to take advantage of it.

Probably just beast for the normal looking dinos and beast/creature for the mutated looking ones. They play very loose with the classification, like putting most humanoids in the human tribe even though some are aliens (Kaguya) or a water dragon (Otohime), so I think beast is good enough for most of them.
Also I only played a bit of DC1 but thought the first dinosaurs came from the past via time travel, or was it both that and dna experiments?

Honestly? Probably not. Point Match doesn't have a lot of stakes since don't lose anything besides wasting time, and unless they make an actual tournament using old expansions they won't care.
I wish giving up still gave you points, some matches you know you'll lose because of a godawful hand. The rewards are not great but I still want my consolation points.

It's odd, she's really good, better than Lisa and Ustanak IMO. I guess most players just want the potential for big numbers rather than utility. Proper Alex timing can really run away with games.

Most non-Akuma players I've seen don't take advantage of the Ascension part for some reason.
Lisa can be good if can pump her numbers in time, but the funniest or saddest thing about her and Claire is that they have such an elaborate intro animation you can kill them before the card art appears.
Overall I still see Orochi and von Karma as the go to legendaries for Black.

Current faith decks are pretty similiar, if you have them you can add more Land of Light, Satsuki and 1-2 Tube Foxes. LoL can be substituted with Defect (Akuma basic) but the unit it brings back will have only 1HP so it's useful to block an oncoming hit and proc Faith/Enero.
If you have any of those cards, I'd use them instead of Mendez as he doesn't mesh with the archetype that well.

Other than that, I'd either lower the number of Otomo or add something like ADA Wesker as he can bring back the sealed copy while the original comes back with revenge. Rao is good on paper but too situational so I wouldn't use it unless you can keep it around with Dolls/HfP.

Eventually you'll need to add 3MP destroys (Gathering Effluvium is the most used) and this set's FANG as the hardest match up so far is flying dual colors.

I got Marino, not particularly useful and needs help to survive but good for pressure. Definitely don't get her if you don't like red or RG machines.
Since you like black Aid to Missionary can be useful, nothing fancy but helps the black faith card cycling and it's popular in Nergigante decks. New Seth is also good despite not being a legendary.

Probably all the accumulated salt it caused finally popped, I've seen plenty of complaints during tournaments and Match Point has quite a lot of Denjin goblins. My blind guess is that they really, really don't want Denjin and Halt Morrigans in the next championship season. Or someone at Gung Ho got fucking destroyed by Red.
So far reactions seem to be mixed. Some people are obviously happy, others feel Red is already too weak and this is ill timed, and few agree that Red was boring/stale but want compensation or buffs next patch.

Red has always been the most unstable color and the most easy to stuff. The only reliable thing it ever had going for it is on play damage because that can't be countered. Unit burn Actions are an MP sink, face burn only has one deck skeleton, that has been run into the ground and is easy to avoid for other colors besides, and Rush has been in the dog house ever since it was made to be slower and largely replaced with Agility anyway. Red has nothing reliable except Anti-Body, or niche Point Match Amaterasu decks.

Not to say there aren't archetypes other colors and heroes don't follow, like Halt Morrigan, Shield Chun Li and that Wesker that throws everything in the graveyard and hopes von Karma saves him.
But I never felt Red changes a whole lot compared to other colors.

I'd be fucking lying if I said I enjoy playing against AA Jill, even when I'm winning, but that's way too much. Regardless of color preference a patch that's all about nerfs leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
I also don't know if touching all these Core cards is good or not in the long run, especially since, again, it's almost always a nerf.

Teppen always does this shit, destroying one color so utterly will invariably buff the current strongest colors (Green and Purple). Black having the destroy archetype means its basically insulated.

I'm surprised they already nerfed PB Nergigante, especially now with BOR's pure Black support (which might suffer from Selfish Predation's nerf) and the rise of Green mixes. Haven't even seen Malfestio in a while.
