High DPS and don't die when he gets mad. I did this week's dino kill as level 10 Nita but both of the randoms I cleared it with were Colt, one was level 10 and the other was level 7.

With the exceptions of Edgar, Primo, Frank, and Bea the time it takes every brawler to get from empty ammo to full ammo is longer than the time it takes to start healing when you aren't shooting.
A useful take-away from this is that you can dump all of your ammo and then not shoot until you are also full of ammo to get some healing in without impacting your DPS. It sometimes helps in PvP but it always helps in PvE.

If you started a few days ago your only chance is to get carried, though your DPS might drag you team down so much that you can't even get carried.
The weekly events don't modify your trophies but matchmaking is still based on trophies so if you do want to get carried pick the brawler you have the most trophies on.

How do I git gud with Darryl?

Hit your rolls more consistently, dont waste roll if you're low health you'll just die, if you have starpowers, steel hoops + recoiling rotator is by far the best combo with darryl. Dont waste ammo as well, when you roll make sure you have at least 1 ammo minimum, preferably 2. Dont hold super a long time before you use it you'll just give your intention away and the enemy will retreat behind a wall.
Dont play passively in neutral, you'll just lose the mid really quickly and be pushed back. Darryl is actually pretty decent in neutral with a 6 tile attack and 7000 health so you can definitely put some pressure out.
If you're playing BB, his roll is 7 tiles and the ball is kicked 7 tiles so its pretty good, especially if enemy goal is open you can score a quick goal. Play more aggressively.
If playing Heist, play more passively, never go onto safe if theres 2 enemies still alive, you'll just die. Try and roll and get a kill and then go onto safe.
The only other mode I'd recommend darryl on is Siege, hes very underrated there imo.

Other than that just play him a lot and you'll learn good and bad matchups as well and you'll naturally get better positioning and roll accuracy. One matchup I will comment on though is the tick matchup, ticks never expect it but you can roll through tick head since darryl doesnt take any knockback while rolling so keep this in mind..

Dont listen to the other anon carl is still very good at lower ranks. Any character that cant cancel Carl's super, you can just rush them and kill them, like barley or colt.
With carl, his gameplan is just hide behind wall and continuously throw out pickaxe while you hide. Carl doesn't have to be out in the open constantly to attack like colt for example since he has a single projectile unlike colt who has 6, which is why hes so good at wall peaking. With his high health and wide attack hes pretty forgiving to play as well. I'd say his best modes are maybe GG or HZ.

Stand on top of a teammate and melt enemies who come close. When that's not happening chip people with your ridiculous long-distance cone so they can't heal.
Use your super when you and the teammate you are standing on have full ammo. You can use it to catch people who are running away but it's better to melt people from full.
Your super goes through walls on the way out and if it connects with an enemy it breaks walls on the way back. Gene prefers open spaces so unless it screws your teammates breaking walls is good.

1. positioning on the map is important. like chess.
2. take every opportunity while you can. its kill or be killed. others wouldn't hesitate to take you out.
3. don't think of others as humans, they are tools. if tool is useless, get rid of it. don't feel guilty.

Okay, I maxed out Colette and got her 1st Star Power yesterday, how good is it?

Push It is her better star power by far. Pushing people is not always the right call, so you have to be slightly more mindful of when you use it, but it gives you more options and the brawlers Colette is good against are mostly brawlers you don't want near you.
Pushing brawlers away usually stops them from hitting you multiple times so, counter-intuitively, it protects you better than the shield from Mass Tax. 20% is not much of a shield and the bonus to the shield for hitting brawlers comes after most brawlers have hit you at least once.

Not true, Colette's three best game modes are BB, Heist and HZ
Push it is better for BB. Get rid of ball from someone very helpful.
Mass tax is better for heist. On a map like kaboom canyon or safe zone you can super across the water and keep safe behind the wall, so super let's you live longer and maintain pressure for longer in neutral. Colette is very underrated on heist imo, she does 5600 damage with her super and 1400 per attack.
For HZ, the maps are generally smaller so you'll be able to hit super reliably anyway, but you could use Push it on HZ as well on some of the more open maps

Having to unlock and upgrade characters through loot boxes was a terrible design flaw. Probably the biggest turn off of this game having played it for a month. You just hit this massive pay/time wall. I'd say this game is pay to win but the slightest bit of teamwork can obliterate most pay pig opponents

Yeah back when big game first released, spawnables like nita bear and jessie turret had increased health and that got nerfed pretty fast because it was insanely op. Seems that because it's from a gagdet and not from his super, the penguins are glitched and are still getting increased health. I expect a fix by next big game.

I wouldnt say the game is pay to win, but yes it would be nice to have all characters and gadgets. At least daily quests only take about 15 minutes at most and weekly quests remain until the end of the season so you're not pressured to do them instantly.
It's not even locking victory behind a pay wall because just having a good character doesnt mean anything, you have to play well. It's just locking fun behind a pay wall, which is a little sad because having more brawlers would be fun. Brawlers arent even the main income of the game, skins and the brawl pass are.

Honey coat is getting reworked soon, but the matchup is easy if you have super and just sneak up on her, otherwise just play it safe and poke at her.

Stay away from Bibi. Leon vs Bibi is not a favorable match up. It takes 9 pellets at point blank range to kill her, and that's even without shield and gagdet. With shield and gagdet, itll be even longer. If you had gagdet you could bait Bibi into wasting homerun shield on a clone and sneak up with invincibility maybe, but generally stay away.
