Mini guide on the vague stuff:>Everything in this game is multiplicative and the thing to remember with that is that increases become greater than the sum of their parts while decreases see diminishing returns. Two instances of 20% attack up become a 44% buff, but two instances of 20% damage down only become a 36% reduction in damage >Levels of Faith, Bravery, Barrier, and Manaward each count for 10% adjustments. Level 3/High Potency Barrier does offer a full 30%, it's not 3 instances of 10%.>When looking at an ability "potency" is how many levels the status will move, "max potency" is how high that ability can push a status after repeated casts. "Extended" refers to how many seconds you add to the status if you cast it multiple times in a row. (No, it doesn't fully refresh the status.) Using Glenn's Pumpkin Lamppost as an example, it has Mid potency, max of High, duration of 30, extended of 10. This means that you can cast it twice back to back for 40 seconds of 30% attack up, or space it out for 1 minute of 20% attack up, both for the same ATB cost. >PDEF and MDEF points work out to about 1% damage reduction per 3 points in the stat>Regen applies 15% of your healing potency every 3 seconds. It captures your stats at the time of cast so if you cast it from defense stance you can switch back to attack and get the full benefit for the whole duration, including if you extend it from attack stance. At 5*, Platinum Collar will heal for the same exact % of potency as Fairy Tale or Prime Number and by max OB it will actually heal about 35% more, but over 18 seconds instead of all at once.

It can come in extremely clutch during temporary vulnerability states like Chill on Shiva or killing an enemy quickly to weaken a group attack like with the SOLDIERs' Bilzzaga but averaged across an entire fight it's only about a 15% DPS increase versus no R.Ability making it the worst DPS increase in a vacuum>20% of the damage you take in a Criterion or Crisis dungeon is subtracted from your max HP with limited exceptions like Poison not affecting max HP and some of the low damage numbers not conforming strictly to that 20% because of rounding
