Why is it that some Espers need to transform into their attire, while others are in it 24/7? Embla always wore her esper attire, but Leora didn't in her story. Yamato transformed into his attire, but wore normal clothes when he didn't. Yuuhime is always in hers. It's very inconsistent.

Even outside of the anomaly, he is likely going to be a staple in future event boss content since he comes with important dispelling and buff stealing in his kit. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how good Mateo is because I did have the fear he wouldn't do much outside of the event. If you don't care about improving Deso/Fafnir scores and the event leaderboards, you can skip Mateo but I think it's worth having him because he does have longevity.
