Imo the only important game mode (other than the daily shit) is all out battle. Even if you just auto it with one team it gives a nice chunk of free energy. Just spam 5 attempts on a Friday or something.
Cat orb battle is a one time thing but the rewards are whatever.
The only new stuff in the roadmap is a new equip farming boss with new sets and they're changing the all out raid boss from the chink to that brat.

hresvelgr's brings her s3 bind and slow to 100%, which also makes s2 followup 100%, and s1 def down 100%. so it's a pretty big impact if you plan to use her
baselard is generally more useful overall, but her UE doesn't make as huge of a difference
go for whoever your teams need more imo, based on the debuffs they bring

Hres isn't as meta but will fall apart if she doesn't have max UE because she really needs that 100% chance to apply restrict for her kit to work.

Each armament gives 6 of any UE block which you need a ton of (~450 to max a UE) and are otherwise gated by your three blue mist attempts per day.
On the other hand the clippers/books turn into the gold mats you need to go from 20-30 of which you need 80 per UE. They're infinitely farmable as long as you have stam for it but it takes a lot (around 90 stam per mat).
Personally, I went with more armament apps because I still have some ryza/madoka mats left over to use whereas I'm constantly dry on UE blocks.

The clippers are for exchange in the FAGirls event shop. The items you can swap for are used on levels 20~30 of your UE and can be farmed from hard mode stages. I think the faction is the same as the pendant on the normal mode stage.

They're both timegated so it depends what you need imo. Maybe a bit of both?

As a f2p I think you get every week:
-4.5 skill chips
-42 UE blue things from stages plus 7 from all out battle

My math might be off but I think the FAG armament applications are a slightly better deal than the skill chips, but only slightly. But it's nice to have both.

Once she has a burn, S1+the S2 follow-up keep things burned pretty consistently. Plus the move bar for more attacks to burn more. Pavonis is just tough to auto because you can't tell the ai "shoot the one on fire"

riposte doesn't trigger often enough to be worth it for damage imo, i only use it if someone has a way to ensure they get hit too
i went pure damage and sacrificed speed, since her s2 can come out so often if your teammates are speedy instead, and then she'll hit really hard really often regardless

Either way, like the other anon said I think you always want as much damage as you can get on her. Then you can either build her max speed no tank (bonus points if you can get the +speed bonus from her R2/R6 imprint) or no speed with some tank.
Main set will be either speed or crit damage attack set might be better for pure damage but I can't bring myself to farm maiden over octo
For the two set crit makes building her easier but if you have god gear pen set - even though it has diminishing returns with skills with built in pen - is best damage in theory.

Best way to beat those teams is with Hokuto rather than speed contesting.
With her UE at 20+ you can play cleave yourself and open by stunning their Clarice (or Madoka if you go all the way to UE30) or do a counter attack style with Kurumi, Hokuto, Stylet +1.
Kokko is really fucking good right now.

Alternatively, if you have a built Yuyi, you can run a team like Mami, Stylet, Yuyi, Clarice. You intentionally let their Clarice go first to let it buff the Madoka. Yuyi will then line cut to go next, sniping the Madoka, letting your Clarice go next to buff your Mami to finish the rest off.

This requires you to have a near perfect Yuyi at higher ranks though (talking 5270-5300+), because Madoka has innate damage reduction, and higher ranked people have some very well built Madokas

Maiden and Octopussy have a huge difficulty spikes. Just focus on getting good pieces from centaur 7 and harpist 9 for now.
You need geared healers to fight Maiden. Make sure you set Morris to auto S2 herself for infinite heal cycle. If you want to skip killing the healer puppet, bring someone with infirmity like Gray. This is just first time clear advice because no one cares about Maiden sets. Octo sets are good though.
