>>816692The original release of Dark Souls on consoles before the patches, where enemies had more health, did more damage, aggro'd from further away, gave half the souls, etc. etc. Obviously, you can mod this shit back in or delete the patches on consoles and start in offline mode, but you can never have the full experience + multiplayer ever again. It's done and it's gone forever.

That shitty moba rise of immortals.

>>816692Sub RosaUnique Social-Deduction Negotiation FPS game that had physics-based movement and shooting, but not the drunk kind, you could do all these cool grabbing moves and stuff. The autistic controls and the fact that the game was de-listed kept the normies out until the developer made it public and removed 85% of the content for an awful game mode with the city being made of actual squares.
>>816692wildstari want 2 raid man
>>817419I opened the thread to post this fuck bro I just miss it, it was comfy.. Of all the MMOs to put on F2P life support Wildstar deserved at least that rather than just being deleted.

>>816692Teeworldsat least movement based offshoot of this game exists so i can look it up on youtube
>>817419this, I hate raiding which means I'm supposed to hate wildstar but the dungeons and housing were so good
This game had a mode in it that was basically a proto-battle royale game. You spawned in a big suburban neighborhood full of PVE zombies and PVP players and you had to creep around silently infiltrating houses to kill enemy players while being careful to not make too much noise until absolutely necessary or zombies would swarm the home. Extremely atmospheric and slow which is rare for multiplayer games. Getting into a firefight with someone in a back yard and then seeing zombies start to pour over the fence in huge numbers to eat your attacker while you hear the downstairs windows shatter open as zombies enter the home to eat you was just fantastic. Game was full of "oh shit oh shit oh shit" moments.
>>816692socom 2/3
>>817550This and S4 League. Korean TPS were something else, the way they exploited movement gave so much freedom. Warframe's conclave reproduced that to some extent but is dead now and the main game doesn't take advantage of its gameplay at all possibilities https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8WtNIfYlqI
>>817914*of its gameplay possibilities at all
>>816692Tribes Ascend pre-flag drag
>>816692BlackwakeSuch a good fucking game, but the devs basically abandoned development after the initial first month of streamers/youtubers playing it. Its down to one laggy 300ping server in Chicago now.

>>816692Titanfall. Once you stopped expecting singleplayer or a story, it was a really great fast-paced shooter.
>>818025>brinkI tried that game last night. Steaming pile of shit that somehow was made by a good dev. Puzzling.
>>818067it was ahead of its time, they even tried again with dirty bomb, but it died as wellI guess the parkour was too clunky, titanfall did all right
>>816692Battlefield 2
>>818087Titanfall and brink play nothing alike whatsoever, brink was legitimately just bad. Probably the only gift I received in life I was ungrateful for.
All the arcade fighting game that were forgotten
Fractured SpaceI was probably the last person to buy shit in that game in an attempt to help revive its corpse
>>817638This game was the shit. Hours upon hours back in it's prime. Was real sad when the player count dropped too low to find games. Was always so intense joining mid game trying to find your team mates. The hostage escort waves were so much fun. Haven't found a zombie game close to this since
classic wow before the zoomers and streamers were born
>>816692fractured spacethe ONLY 5v5 ive ever enjoyed
>>818469>parkour movement shooter
>>817638>>818544This, as well as the dev's mod, Zombie Panic, more specifically ZP Source. Played the fuck out of that game in elementary.
>>818547I still play with the same old crew all these years later so this doesn't affect me, however the bug levels are off the charts. Classic is barely functioning.
The Epic Quest for Mighty LootExcept not really, the Clash of Clans-style monetization was cancer and the game wasn't all that well designed. But the concept was pretty cool!
maplestory from 2009-2013. some of the shittiest changes occurred but also some of the best. they really did try a lot of different things during that time it was a very transient niche era in maple that only got worse after that. many of the mid-era versions of maplestory are so niche that there isn't much information on certain things at all.
It had neat combat, especially when you hit a certain population density, and a simple, comfy, trade system.I don't recall the main servers ever having more than 100 concurrent players though, so I guess it was pretty much dead on arrival. It was fun going as pirate and fucking up the combat orientated faction. Caused enough havoc admin had to step in.

>>816692Resistance fall of man. The first online game I got properly into. I miss games like that with high TTK. You couldn’t just luck out and get kills. You had to actually be good. I loved it when some scrub would start shouting at me from behind and I would just turn around and nail them in the face. Low TTK games appeal to scrubs.
>>816692Full Invasion 2. If you know, you know.
Gmod Tower
cod warzone, the new one is decent but it'll never live up to the original. there's still core battle royale but all the alt modes that i loved are just gone now
those two nitrome flash games that were on miniclip where you climbed an icy mountain
>>816692HawkenIt was fun with friends
>>817974I kinaesthetically coomed by skiing 400mph with the fast class. Building up speed and capping in seconds was cheesy but the game wasn't the same post-patch.
>>821347Subspace continuum, crazy to think that game was that big (it is still pretty big though not dead at all)
The Marvel Heroes ARPGfeel sad every time i'm reminded its gone
>>821747It was pretty fun, I agree. Were you in the /vg/ group?

>>821917Because not only did Hi Rez abandon the game in a state that was borderline unplayable the first time>Flag Drag>Shit tier map designs>TCN thumper and afk doombringerThey came back for like 3 months to fuck up the game harder with new updates before abandoning it again>removed classes>removed perks> 3 armor types can equip any weapon of their size, heavily favoring heavies who can now carry all the best weapons between doombringer, juggernaut, and brute>Mediums practically useless, but now you can play a soldier with a turret making the Thumper TCN problem even worse, too bad all the new maps are so shit that you don't want point defense>Flag Drag still exists so fatty capping is strictly better than light capping>They never ever even attempted to fix hitscan snipers so everyone just quit because aimbots became too wide spread and because the game was abandoned there was no ban waves or progression system to punish aimbotsIf I coulld I would go back to 2011-2012 when the maps were god tier and flag drag and thumper tcn didn't exist, but right now the game is just a strictly worse quake.
Metal Gear Online 2
>>816692Halo 3. Halo was the first franchise I really got into, Halo 3 was my first title.Frontlines: Fuel of War.Not even a good game, just nostalgic.

Total War Arena
Gunz International beta, nothing tops that for me. The speed and precision and adrenaline and skill. I know people still host servers but it just isn't the same.I also enjoyed Ragnarok Online back in early 2000's, It just had that feelgood atmosphere with the music and the slimes and the sprites. Again game is still around but feeling is not.
>>816692Trouble in Terrorist Town
Auto Assault.NCSoft can get fucked with a rake for killing it and the sitting on the corpse and refusing to allow anyone to try and ressurect it.
>>821745I haven't checked in for a few years, but in my otherwise recent experience the population isn't big enough to support a full size flag game. The glory of several 10 man teams with their flags stashed all over the map, spying on each other and launching sudden invasions which made their own bases vulnerable, is some of the most glorious shit I ever saw in a game. Tribes had a mode like this also but it never really caught on there and I don't think you could choose where to keep your flags.>>821747What happened to this game was so far beyond ridiculous it turns my stomach. Disney should have blackbagged that motherfucker and beat it out of him. No one wants to hear this, but Diablo Immortal has that MMO feel of encountering other players in the wild and teaming up on world bosses. The P2W factor puts a pall of retardedness over the whole experience but it doesn't really interfere with my enjoying the game. People pay thousands of dollars just to be on a leaderboard. Play it for the open world and the 8 man raid bosses.>>822149Please explain this statement. Rotmg can fuck itself in the ass with a bread knife though along with whoever is running it. What an absolute travesty of a game it has become. While we're at it Digital Extremes can suck cocks in hell for taking down Survived By.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3v6yv_mNTmA>>818469>>818087>>818067Brink's main similarity with Titanfall was how it made you play chapters of a campaign while you were doing multiplayer. All those maps were supposed to tell some kind of a story. Brink was actually a decent game (and the parkour was not a huge or intrusive part of it) but the problem was you had no choice what map to play or whether to play with bots. There were ALWAYS bots around, and it was difficult or impossible to tell who they were.
>>816692well none since im not a faggot who plays games that depend on servers or locked on consoles.

>>817914S4 League and GunZ were so fun
>>818039Titanfall 2 is having a bit of a resurgence of players this past month
This game got done dirty. It was complete jank but when you got into a room full of good players it was immensely fun.
>>817974i really miss tribes, it was very fun
>>817638What was the game mode called? I've played Contagion with my college friends a few times but we've only ever done the normal linear missions and horde defense.
