This game had a mode in it that was basically a proto-battle royale game. You spawned in a big suburban neighborhood full of PVE zombies and PVP players and you had to creep around silently infiltrating houses to kill enemy players while being careful to not make too much noise until absolutely necessary or zombies would swarm the home. Extremely atmospheric and slow which is rare for multiplayer games. Getting into a firefight with someone in a back yard and then seeing zombies start to pour over the fence in huge numbers to eat your attacker while you hear the downstairs windows shatter open as zombies enter the home to eat you was just fantastic. Game was full of "oh shit oh shit oh shit" moments.

>>816692crysis 3 multiplayer on 360.The frames were dogshit, yes, but the gameplay was amazing. You could activate 'armor mode' to gain a shield equivalent to your base health, but it would slow you down considerably. Alternatively, keeping it off let you move around the map at lightspeed and fuck with people's aim assist up close. 'Stealth mode' was an pseudo-invisibility cloak (blurred blob with shadow) that made you even more vulnerable than with no armor, but let you cross sighlines unnoticedMost of the game was about outmaneuvering your opponent to get a clear shot, activating armor only when you absolutely needed it to survive. You could consistently outplay shitters 1v2, 1v3, 1v4, 1v5. There was a golden age ~2 years after release when only the best players were still around and the 6v6 matches were absolutely insane.I tried it again on PC a couple years ago, and although we found 12 players pretty easily, it just wasn't as. The sort of fast 360deg tracking you can do with a mouse invalidates all of the crazy movement, and high res + rendering distance makes the cloak dogshit. Also, it was pretty obvious that some players were using wallhacks and/or aim trainers.RIP to a hidden gem

RaiderZIt was an MMO that was trying to rip off Monster Hunter but it wasn't very good at that. Boss fights were still incredibly fun and I spent thousands of hours in pvp.Made by the guys that made GunZ and when they released the awful sequel to that game it took the company and RaiderZ down. All of MAIET's, he GunZ people, IP were bought by another Korea studio named Masangsoft a few years ago. They've shown interest in bring RaiderZ back but it's not happened yet. They very rarely, one or two times a year, post updates on the project. It's very slow due to being a small company and the assets and tools they got from MAIET when they bought them were not up to date. For some reason they were given alpha tools instead of the correct ones so a lot has to be rebuilt from scratch. They have also expressed that changes will be made and a lot of then seem rather grandiose and I'm not sure how I personally feel about them.A mobile game was also rumored but I've heard nothing since the initial rumor.I refuse to play the Brazilian run private server.

Lineage 2 like 12 or 13 years ago. I no lifed that shit in highschool. The PvP system was my favorite I've seen in an mmo to date. Basically, if you attack someone then you're flagged. If they attack back you can kill eachother without consequences (besides XP loss for whoever dies). If they don't attack back, when you kill them you gain karma and can drop gear if you die.Trolling people was so effective in that game because it took so fucking long to do anything. People could lose 4+ hours of grinding time if they get killed. They come back with their friends, you come back with yours, everyone starts getting their clans involved, and before you know it you have a 100vs100 battle over what started as a grinding spot dispute. The game was all about player politics and drama. Fighting over raid bosses, castles, grinding spots.I'd never play it now even if I could bring it back to those days, cause you really had to no life that shit to get anywhere. How can you sing 1.29's praises if that's what you dislike about 2.0? PVP was even more the focus of the game in 1.29 and older versions. Heck, the game was made off the desire of a guy wanting a final fantasy tactic pvp game. They even tried to make a purely pvp game with dofus arena. If you're not interested in pvp aka the "endgame" just take your time to play the "game" rather than skipping everything as fast as you can and then proceeding to complain that there's nothing to do. >friend and i would play this in marathon sessions until we passed out>one time we went 96/0 in a magrider holding off a tr invasion of amerish on our lonesome>would also relax just flying ants around in a galaxy topping off bases on backwater continents We don't talk about PS2.
>>853490Ok then quote exactly what's wrong and tell me how that is the case
are there any private firefall servers?
>>816692Unreal Tournament and TribesYeah I'm old
that tek deck splatoon game where they never released the code and cancelled the project after a week
>>816692Baseball Heroes (Facebook), Army Attack (Facebook), Empires & Allies (Facebook), Club Penguin (the original), WolfTeam (the old version)
>>854507I miss it so much.
>>854510Also, here's a website that popped in my Google results. It's a tips article made in this year of a dead game years after its devs pulled off Facebook. I am 100% sure it was made by a bot. kekhttps://levelskip.com/sports/Facebook-Game-Baseball-Heroes-Tips-and-Strategies
>>854512Nevermind. Judging by the comments, which could be fake, the author "Anurag Ghosh" wrote it in 2012. It seems that he changes the articles' dates to current years to make people belive they are new. megakek
>>853630>The Culling.good riddance
Unironically the social kind of MMOs like Club Penguin, Habbo and Gaia. The ones that exist are a ghost town and the other 50% of them are dead or have dogshit revivals that link to a discord server. There is literally nothing like them anymore. VRChat sucks and is filled with fags and underage zoomers.
>>816692fortnite
>>852185damn dude, had the same thought
>>816692Star Wars galaxies
I always liked the other two Descents more, but I can still play them. This one might as well be gone forever.
>>857111https://store.steampowered.com/app/273590/Descent_3/?
gotham city impostorsbest arena shooter for his time.best batman related game of all time.it would fit the current multiplayer shooter but the graphics are outdated
>>816692Zu Online
>>816692TLOU Factions on PS3
>>860680The game runs like shit on modern systems, didn't get a source port like the first two, and therefore no one plays the multiplayer anymore
>>830577I wish I could play robocraft pre-megabots. Megabots wasn't even a bad concept, the bad thing was changing the entire game to fit a poorly executed new idea instead of creating a new mode for it (when it wasn't even new as they already had boss battle mode).
>>849266oh fuck, this was a fun onealso battlerite/BLC and Savage 2
>>816692Blacklight retribution
Nosgoth
Deep Rock Galactic pre-season passesThese pseudo-battle passes they do twice a year attracted the most bottom of the barrel dreg-tier drooling retards, and now any discussion about the game has turned into "ur reddit" or "i dont like what ur saying u play on haz lower than me"
>>845208the series in general
rayman arena
>>816692Warcraft 3
>>846947This.TFC, UT, T:ACTF is ded and fags are dancing on its corpse with their shitty "press botten for character move" paradigm. And there's no arena/deathmatch game to fall back on, not even scraps like quake champions or sauerbraten since nobody plays them. And let's not even talk about HL2 deathmatch.
This and TheHidden:Source
>>829501That one fucking shotgun tho
the only good MOBAAlso spiral knights, they don't have time to add anything to the game but can DMCA the only people who give a shit about it>>863868warsmash looks promising, hopefully the dev finishes it before the schizophrenia does
>>818910ZPS is my pick too. The levels were really moody especially with that source engine lighting. Only real time a multiplayer game gave me the same feels the original Resident Evil's did. Shame the devs started adding gay gamemodes with objectives like it's L4D. It had a spike in popularity in 2018 which was great, but then died again. It doesn't even get players for Halloween.
It was fun even if it was dumb as a LoK product
any game before the chinese and russians started using VPNs
>>816692Dota 2 pre-reborn or fuck even pre-7.00.
>>857048Remember the countless custom Habbo servers that cropped up?
>>816692Tribes Ascend and Dirty Bomb.
>>857048>Unironically the social kind of MMOs like Club Penguin, Habbo and Gaia.Second Life is still alive.
FusionFall. It took up so much of my time when I was younger it was one of my fondest memories :( apparently there was a private server for it but it shutdown
