Fucking stupid. Hunt doesn't benefit from a battle pass, it just becomes a miserable grind that's going to cause a nosedive in players because they're going to be stupidly burnt out - this literally happened with all the other events too, but this one is twice as bad because of the length. I'm nearly done with the fucking thing and I never want to touch Hunt for at least another month. I did appreciate that you could at least buy the BP with Blood Bonds, because it was a massively retarded move on their monetization team's part, most people have 1500 BB saved up at any given time, and with dedicated (not CHRONIC) play it's not impossible to get that much in about 3-4 week's time.

Going back to this game after a few months away actually makes me appreciate some of the corny BRshit mechanics like closing rings sometimes. Of course I wouldn't want shit like that in this game but I forgot how often the game just devolves into a stalemate where no one wants to push. I think part of it is my elo and the fact that 6 star is full of sniperfags farming k/d but it's also because the game has nothing driving the post-banish phase apart from the match timer, which they thankfully lowered but still allows for far too much stalling. Hopefully that new anti-camping measure will help alleviate it somewhat but I feel like it's just going to be something similar to DSB which basically just allows for detection and not any actual action. Here are some of my shitty ideas

I didn't really care about it before because I would always just push people even if it was unfavourable but close quarters fights are now basically a 50/50 on whether you kill trade or not which is just completely unsatisfying. I don't mind if someone kills me fair and square, but shotgunning someone in the face, seeing their body fly through the air in the death animation, and then dying from their phantom bullet a fraction of a second later has got to be the most annoying thing about this game.

Holy FUCK what a filthy loadout
The aperture sight lets me counter snipers and make precision shots with reasonable efficiency, I can turn it off for close quarters fights, and for pushes in buildings and around corners I have the Specter for one shot capability.
The derringer is a perfect backup headpopper. Very expensive but equally fun, I thought the derringer was shit but it saved my life like twice last game

There just needs to be something that pressures people into fucking MOVING. I think the boss building should catch fire after like 5 minutes to force people out, that way people at least have plenty of fucking time to play window peaks.

Another thing I think this game would benefit from is more emphasis on throwables, because having to make the call between instant healing, which is a staple, and grenades is fucking rough. If there was a tool that gave, like, two instant heals on-par with a weak vitality shot that could NOT be resupplied, I feel like more people would bring more tools to force people out of big buildings.

I'm not sure what this will possibly help or how you could make it help. A simple camera seems pretty useless. Dart someone with poison and bleed in the hopes that they switch to their pistol to shoot it? Dart them and give them a dark sight wall hack debuff on them, but have it exist in normal sight so you can see where they are for 15s? Throwing knives need an accuracy buff.
They need a melee speed up chase mechanic.
And a no footsteps/reduced footsteps perk for melee out users.

If they are going to do the lore magic stuff like the bee, being able to summon NPCs with throwables would be nice.
Or noise grenades that summoned all npcs within a compound to walk over.
Maybe 1 swat bee rounds you could fire around corners to corner check for you before you breached.
Honestly I think they should seperate tools into another slot so you had tools, tools 2, and explosive grenades.
That way you didn't have to sacrifice constantly where campers always have the advantage. They already have 1shot shotgun trade advantage.
If people could take shots and other tools plus have 4 grenades, they could push campers with tons of utilities.
The problem would then be if anything money economy for most people who can't afford a 1k loadout every game since they all mostly lose every game since avg ktd is like 0.6-1.1. Just buff money and then every game should be a lot more dynamic intense and less time consuming.
You could also add new guaranteed spawns of tnt explosive crates around boss lairs that only roll for sticky nades to force the push.
Adding more building entrances is always good, but extremely resource intensive for the dev team vs place box.
Add leaning maybe?

A double handed scythe with a huge arc that can remove most/all barbed wire in a single shot and 1 hit kill.
Make bomb lance explosion bigger so it's meant to clear the entire wire without risking the melee peek like scythe would.

What about a reward mechanic where if you hold a bounty or maybe kill a bounty holder, you get a 25% boost in gained money at the end of the match? Get 4 kills and your hunter gets saved using that lvl 20 mechanic? This way the matches at least play out differently without catering to either the camping inside the boss lair or camping outside of the boss compound and forces action. That's my main concern, the game NEEDS to force action post-banish, it already has a soft objective of finding and killing the boss monster during which phase I think the game is most fun and varied, but a lot of the time it grinds down to a halt once the boss is dead and it just turns into a slog of "hold angles until someone eventually gets headshot".

I know the game is supposed to be a sandbox, but I think there need to be more restrictions on playstyles that actively stall the game like concertina nuking entire compounds or 200m sniper turtling. I've just gotten to the point where if I encounter players like this I just turn around and extract, it's not worth the time waste, which is in essence a win for those playstyles simply by virtue of being annoying to deal with.

Sniperniggers are completely irrational. They will sit in a bush for 10 minutes, holding an angle they will never get a kill with. They dont care about money, they dont care about the bounty, they only want to get that 200m headshot. If they get pushed, they run, if they get hit, they run, if their teammate dies, they extract.
Maybe they can add some kind of fog effect. The boss gets autobanished if left alone for 5 minutes, after the banish is complete the compound is surrounded by smoke (thin enough for close range, but too thick for long range) and the compound is filled with fire to push out the team inside. That way you can force people out without people being able to wait out a team and shoot them as soon as the door opens.
They could also buff the dark sight boost a bit, considering it isnt perfect and you have to put away your weapon to use it, having more than 5 seconds would be nice. Especially since everyone else can track you across the map

Yeah it's a real paradox, campers blaming the other campers for their camping. Pushing into a heavily trapped compound with a shotgun around every corner is a losing play so the only smart move is to sit around and do nothing. I'm going to be a faggot and say that I blame sniperfags the TEENIEST bit less than defensive shotgun campers. When I play a solo sniperfag I make a conscious effort to move, stay stealthy, and actually have to think about my positioning. But with shotguns, it's just kill boss, camp building, and wait for a push that might not ever even happen. I still try to peak windows and shit but most shotgun boss-room campers I run across don't even do that, at least in low-tier solo lobbies. Feel free to crucify me for that one

The shotgun guys take a risk killing boss and as a result they hold the upper hand that they sit on the game objective in a good defensive position. Sniper faggots are complaining because they don't want to wait those 20-30 minutes. They want to take zero risk killing boss but they also don't want the team that does should have any upper hand. It's just massive ADD faggotry but the original flow of the game went.

Yeah you kno I've got a friend who is very casual towards hunt in that he only plays the game with friends, if I and our other mutual friends did not play he would not either, but he told me he doesn't see it as there is a camping problem, his head cannon of hunt is a slower experience where matches are meant to take 30-40 minutes while you cat and mouse the objective even if that means there are long periods of waiting for the other guys to make a mistake, in whatever form that takes.

He's been on both sides of that now, we've played the shotgun-trap team (although I am usually crack peeking and outward wallbanging at people to advance the game state, he considers that normal) and we've played the sniper trio spread out 150m apart triangulating on a team/extraction point, coordinating to lead people pushing us into the other's line of sight, etc. That's just the hunt: showdown experience to him and he says for the most part he likes it, he just wouldn't want the anxiety of playing solo.

I keep telling mf the answer to a lot of problems this game has is nerf long ammo. Nerf the amount of ammo long ammo guns come in with, then nerf the resupply rate, then maybe also nerf the damage calc so they deal less damage up close. If someone shoots you point blank with mosin it should do compact ammo damage, because clean pass-through or whatever shit you want to handwave it as.

Yeah you guys have to realize almost everyone that has an opinion is wrong and shit at anything in life.

Sometimes they have $100k autistically "because its too much $$$" as they refuse to prestige and grief your games and get upset when you dont want to play with them or leave angry comments on your steam profile when you refuse to pick them up knowing theres a 50/50 chance theyll try and light you on fire with molotov bombs to burn out your bars or knife stab you or throw a concertina on you once you revive them after you had to 5v1 to win the fight.
Yesterday I played 7 games and won 6 without dying and traded to win the last fight in the 7th and turned in 3 lvl 50 hunters.
They lose 12 games in a row with $150 loadouts and eventually dont even have the $40 to pay for the 4 weak shots so they at least have something

I imagine that's intentional - theres probably a statistic somewhere driving the dev team mad that reads out as "players who get into fights more often play the game more" that sits next to "players are too slow / unable to manoeuvre effectively ingame to get into fights" so this might be a way to entice those players into grabbing effectively, 1-3 extra stam shots and move a lot faster around the map and get into fights.

I doubt it affects better players very much, outside of their games getting going faster.

Well I meant I had 3 roll over to 50 and its actually better to play with the lvl 50 hunter to get more exp faster but if youre not confident in winning, you can actually turn in the hunters after like lvl 20 or 25 and get some points for prestige if you arent confident to take them to lvl 50 where the maxed out bar allows you to grind out extra xp if you just want some extra prestige xp. Just make sure you unequip their stuff using your blank first loadout slot so you dont throw an entire gear set into the trash.

I got this skin since it was on sale, and have been using this little number as a utility sidearm with half dumdum and half explosive. Thought it was a meme but have been having a blast. Things to note:
>Crouched sway is very easy to manage and almost nonexistent with steady hand
>Explosive ammo has a fuckhuge area of effect and 1-2 shots doors and windows
>Tagging someone with dumdum clears you for a push almost always and is a checkmate if you catch them even slightly separated from their team
All this with the super fast reload and respectable damage is great. Excellent for compound fights. I've been using it with the Winfield Talon with FMJ when I have quartermaster and dualies with FMJ when I dont
