Kingdoms Rise. It was okay for a little while. Bought it it with a friend and played it for about 10 hours. Was completely dead the next time I tried to play. Mixed feelings about it.
Forge was another game. Bought it full price for like 30 dollars. Played for 30 minutes. Complete regret. Especially since it went free to play.

This game was also really popular on /v/ on release and is honestly one of my favorite kart racers
>>

Holy shit a core memory.

So many hours spent. So many clunky elements and still one of my favorite games ever.
>>
>>165945
I played in the beta testing of a mp VR game that was VERY similar to this.
>>
>>164963
Fun game, was thematically fun to kill a bunch of humans then turn their not-quite-dead bodies into respawn points

Also that infantry could use their grenades in a sticky anti-vehicle mode and vehicles having critical hit spots were both extremely clever and I wish the Battlefield games would copy the idea.
BF2142 just barely sort of had that with the exhaust vents on mechs but not really, and I really hate how most games in the genre have a dedicated anti-vehicle class meaning anyone not fitted to kill vehicles gets chewed up.
>>
>>166254
What a great game, the spawning mini-objective thing was really cool.
I tried to shill this game on /v/ and got shouted down as a "halo clone" then when the game died all the faggots on /v/ lamented that 'yet another good game died'
>>
>>168834
I bought this when it went on sale, didn't play it for a year, it shut down

I wish some faggot streamer like Summ1t would use their shitty meme influence to revive this game

>play this at release
>cool game, nice setting as we grew up with quake 2
>play as strogg, multiblaster all day every day
>everyone having a good time and playing well, map awareness is up and if there's a breach somewhere immediately second lines get prepared to fall back
>get back into it after a few months
>all the good players are gone and everyone plays like a retard
I felt bad.

Middle school memories. One of the few PC games I could convince my non-PC gaming friends to play.

This game is genuinely really cool. You're rewarded not for just killing enemies, but pulling off trick shots like 360s and ricochets, and it's possible for a player to have fewer kills but still win becayse those kills were done more skillfully. Super easy to get into because the only weapons are dodgeballs you find around the level, but the skillshots give it depth. I tried to convince friends to get into it, but they just didn't take.
>>
>>164963
I had a burnt version of this for my chipped 360, enjoyed it even though I could only play with A.I.

>>177823
I was confused because the game has only been out a short time, apparently 2015, so anon is I suppose like 18/19 yo.
>>176219
Anyway I love Disco Dodgeball, I only finally got around to buying it last year and was impressed with it being much better than I thought it would be and also saddened that nobody plays it.
>>
>>178220
Oh no, I was saying I played Combat Arms as a middle schooler. Though it seems it came out in 2008, so I guess I'm blending early high school memories with middle school.

But yeah, Disco Dodgeball is an elegant little game. One of the few games where every single bit of the title is relevant to how the game plays.
>>
>>178263
That makes sense, sorry I was being retarded and was excited that someone mentioned dodgeball disco
>>
>>164967
>>165736
I loved how fucking polite the Strogg clips were
