Smith is a high skill class with many different builds. You can go damage or you can go support (greed, extra weight for the party, and crafting utility). This is why their damage skills use the cart's weight. A smith built for damage will always have their cart filled with trash for max dps while a support smith will have an empty cart and fill it up with the party's loot as they go. This is part of the balance in an authentic Ragnarok Online server. Clikeks want to remove cart weight having a factor in their skils but this completely removes the need for a support smith. Clikeks then want to have autoloot or fx added which also completely removes the need for greed unless an item drops on a portal. Clikeks then ask for extended converter durations to completely remove the need for crafted weapons. This kills the support smith and kills the delicate balance of the game. Anyone who asks for any of these changes is not a Ragnarok Online fan and should go play a game such as Final Fantasy XIV instead where they can troon out as much as they like.

On Ragnarok 4Leaf, the dev-chud completely killed the need for multiple specs as smith just to appease his troon golden goy ratshitpiss. You pick a wizard? I feel like Ragna/v/ had more good than bad, the problem was that the dev was so stubborn about the few bad things while also having an incredibly unlikable personality that came across as a narcissistic windbag (despite clearly not knowing much about RO) so those flaws got blown out to epic proportions by the community. If they had been the result of "laziness" or whatever I think there would have been less resentment.That being said I think the slow decline was mainly just due to people getting bored, not so much the flaws or hating the dev. Probably the WoE fiasco accelerated it or at least actively prevented people from staying engaged (since, you know, it's ENDGAME). Then the renewal bullshit which I guess was a last-ditch attempt to keep it alive blew back hard and everyone practically ragequit. I myself felt robbed because all the zeny spent for slotting panty and undershit was suddenly for nothing since HEHE HERE'S YOUR GAY DRAGON VEST SET out of fucking nowhere.I guess the choice is to either "accept" that servers can't live forever (maybe some sort of seasonal system with relaunches or soft relaunches), or just rack your brain about endgame content with the playerbase.Anyway, despite all the drama I have fond memories of Ragna/v/, the settings were really excellent with a few minor gripes and clearly we've failed to get a replacement server that is even remotely as good (and the general server landscape is abysmal outside of "4chan servers" too).tl;dr Would absolutely play a 2.0 server.

Thoughts on those "diablo stats" on items? I think it's kind of a meme gimmick but it gives different value to base items (ie. you farm panties until you get good mods on it). Here's a proposal.-Same Basic configuration as before(rates, episode)-No autoloot, no resets, no warps, no heals-Same hyper regen-TINGs-Scale new world mobs to have sensible stats for their level, getting rid of the placeholder stats they had beforeI noticed last time, people really liked when I released the list of people who go to high levels. I figured one way to improve things would be to give you additional ways to compete against each other.Account/Server Progression: I'd come up with a list of "achievements" for you to do. Grinding, item dropping, finishing story quests, etc. Every time you complete one of those achievements, your account gets a Personal Progression Point(PPP).At the end, I'd post a ranking of the people who the most PPs earned. Maybe add some kind of shop where you can spend them for cosmetics and consumables. maybe even a few cards.Simultaneously, every time a player gets a PPP, the server would gain a Global Progression Point(GPP). When the server reaches a GPP milestone, something new for all players would unlock. Cheaper NPC prices, allowing free entrance to dungeons without quest, unlocking rachel sanctuary, improving woe treasure chest drops, whatever global rewards I can think about.These achievements would be made in a way to have players explore maps that are usually not on the route of optimal leveling. You also could only earn points if you are within a certain level of the monster it involves(say, maybe 10~15 levels), meaning you can only do them while leveling, not with a capped/nearly capped character.I can probably fit all of this onto the Quest and Achievement windows to make it very nice and presentable.(cont.)
